I googled the castle and read that it was completed in 12 months at a cost of £30,000!! Twelve months to build that mammoth place is awesome in those days. It would have been nice if you could have gone in and showed us what it looks like in your descriptive way. That is a deluxe style playground.. so many different things for the kids to play on. Those seed pods would look great in a vase. Thanks for sharing this outing with us. 💗
What a lovely place to visit , you have given me so many ideas for future trips out , the colours of the trees and leaves were breathtaking such a beautiful place and lots for the children to do😊😊 take care Imo and I hope In and Izzy are both well xx
At the back of the castle, this used to be a secondary school in the 70s and 80s. I attended the school in the 70s. Had my wedding photos taken in the grounds of the castle in 2002 Many a happy hour spent spent in Cyfarthfa Castle in childhood days
Cyfarthfa Castle is well worth a visit ,I love the history of the Crawshay family .Alexander Cordell wrote great books about the Merthyr riots ,referencing the Crawshays .
Most of the building was a school, went there (a right shed) - 15.48 the old entrance to the school; school itself closed in 2013. The far right with the round turret the 1st floor was the music room ...
Oh godness that what my M50 lens looks like, its currently still sat in rice along side the camera, saying a error 70 😳 Lovely grounds would love to see inside at some point x
Shame you couldn’t get into the castle, but the grounds looked really lovely. So nice to see an accessible play area. That just didn’t exist in the 80’s when I was growing up
You do such an amazing job of showing the grounds of the castle they should pay you for advertising 😊. I'd love to see inside another time
Loved seeing the autumn colours, and have put the park on my list to take my grandchildren
The playground equipment is very excellent. Nothing that fancy here. We had winds and spots of rain today. That dried flower was stunning.
