This man saved me from doing some very dark and unfamiliar things. I state this with all sincerity and meaning-" He saved me from my dark side and ending my life."
May He and his loved ones forever be Blessed by God.

Edit: my comment keeps disappearing so I'll add it here
Am I the one claiming there is one ? I'm glad humans came up with logical fallacies, so it's easy to just throw the ball back in your court... Did u know that if u make extraordinary claims, YOU must have extraordinary evidence. Not me, brother.
So what about showing us verifiable proof of God's existence?
AH, that's right, there is non. So bot go back to trance... @ThreeEleven
If you would educate yourself on philosophical arguments and actual logic, you wouldn't believe what u believe cause it would go against reality and reason.
To be able to believe what you believe requires a certain amount of distancing yourself from reality. That's something that actually smart and educated people would never do.
And I didn't even mention all the moral dillemas and indoctrination that your and everyone else's believe systems practice to this day..

I've heard this speech before or at least these ideas from Jordan but I needed to hear it again. I'm going to Marine Corps boot camp again for the second time in a few months. The first time I broke my leg and got sent home. What I want. To be a Marine, to have a house, to have a wife, and to have a kid. I don't think that's too much to ask for and I think those things will be good for me. I don't care about money, wealth, fame. I just want to do what's right and to live a good life, with meaning and purpose, and to be a good man.

aye i can relate, just remember one thing , there will always be setbacks even if you tried your best and gave it everyting you got , some thing are just out of your controle , and even if it was something you could doo nothing about , with some things in life ,it doesn't matter if something does not work out by your actions or those of others , it can still leave you devastated, i know first hand and it will suck , and it will eat you up from the inside , and might break your heart,,,just remember ..Semper Fi ,,,feel the hurt,,,process it,, acceptit, then pick your self up and do it again ,better ,harder,, and motivated again,,,the things that come in your life that are good for your soul bring you joy and good memories, the things that bring the opposite ..are your lessons to learn!

I'm right there with you. I was on a good path, but got pulled off of it. Then I got back on and wouldn't you know, fell back off again. I'm never going to give up though. This isn't the first time I've been through this and it won't be the last. I fought addiction for years, off and on, off and on. I bested it and have been living clean for a few years.
This is the same thing. I did really well with my studying, exercisez and at my job. Then I hit a snag. Fell off with everything. I'm just now getting things back together.
You can do it. I'm rooting for you. And I can do it too. Other people say they see my efforts and they work to try harder themselves. People may be seeing you too. May be inspired by you too. We'll fall back down again and then we'll get back up.

This speech and video has been responsible for the turning point in my life. It was 3am one night and i was contemplating my life and my mistakes. I was in a living hell, fucking up everything in my life that i hold dear to me. It even got to the point where i had suicidal ideations, i loathed myself beyond comprehension in those moments. Next thing i know i turn my phone on and this is the first thing that pops up on my screen. This was no accident, it was the most important learning moment in my entire life and changed everything for me. Im striving to live in truth now and although these events happened as of recent, I have no doubt everything happened for a reason in those darkest moments. Peace and light everyone

I've spent 35 years worrying about everything whilst not truly wondering what it is that i want from my life. I've comitted crimes, been in prison, been detained in psychiatric hospitals, and allowed myself to fall into a pit devoid of all meaning. For the past few weeks i set the past aside so that i could try and complete new goals. Small goals, that if completed add up to something much more. The reason i say all this is not for attention or consolation. I say this because i truly believe that anybody watching this video can change their life in a positive way. I went from the darkest nihilistic anti-human perspective imaginable to realising i needed to work on myself and give life a shot. You are worth it too. And just like said in this video the responsibility for ones life is personal. Peace.

This genuinely made me cry as a man. I’m currently in the middle of my journey of being exactly who I want and need to be. Moving across the country by myself to put myself completely in a new space. It’s been almost 6 months of nothing but a depressive state when thinking about my goals. But digging deeper I found that I was upset because I moved and nothing changed. Because I had no idea what I wanted. Within the last few weeks a few very unfortunate things happened in just the right order to make my brain flip into the “I need to be this” mindset. And since that day everything has changed. Truly a light in the darkness Jordan Peterson.

    Challenge accepted.
For what it’s worth, leaving my comfort zone was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It’s only been 6 months but the transition I’ve made in my life has been tremendous. I have so much better perspective in my life, the good things the bad things and the things I’m not able to understand. I left to make a name for myself and ended up finding humility. I forgive the people who meant me harm, I appreciate the things that matter and most importantly I’ve reconnected with my faith. I’m no longer in control and neither is anyone reading this. The Lord loves us, he accepts us despite our ugliness. Look at the world you’re in. It’s beautiful living breathing ART.
The wars, the politics, the conflicts, the family drama it’s all a consequence of all of our choices. Choose love, choose what’s right and let God in your heart. He’s waiting for you to smile and let him take control.
1 month 6 months a year take that time to escape your routine and humble yourself before the Lord. He died for that. He rose again for that. He’s patiently waiting for that.

I don't know how many there are now because society wants to break them. Thank you so much for helping them. They are the reason we had all the things we have for everything. We should all thank them and be grateful. Anyway, you're inspiring for sure. I've listened to your videos over and over. Thank you! To all the men watching, thank you for all the wonderful things you fix and invent! What's coming will be hard, but you can be our strength. And as women, we need to be ready to stand behind our men. in one of his videos he said once, the key to helping yourself is starting with cleaning your room! & i laughed at that theory but now i get it, if you can't change your everyday surroundings for the better clutter that your walk bye & past every single day. then it's pretty much impossible to achieve your goals, cuz if you don't start with cleaning your room first and proving to yourself that with a liitle effort comes rewards, you might try to reach goals but if your room isn't clean there will come a day when your upset and look around at your life/ messy room and say, forget it NOTHING HAS CHANGED. because you didn't start with cleaning your room first. and you will just end up right back where you started. but if your room is clean & you have a bad day, at least you can look at your room and say, well at least i made a change, and i can see it, so the way i feel right now is just a setback.
Sorry to waste everyones time with my rant, CLEAN YOUR ROOM

One of the best advices. I truly believe in cleaning the room first and making the bed everyday. It may seem foolish, silly, not that important but for some reasons this little act is very powerful in many ways we can't see. I just did that yesterday after a long time and I just felt released, happier, motivated, optimistic, more inclined to a positive attitude.
Maintaining it clean it can be harder, but doing that it will help so much on the long term in such a way that when you catch up from the suffering, procrastination etc. There will come a day when you will be so aligned with your goals that it will become so easy for you from then on. Make this your routine, integrate this into your reflexes because it will help enormously!

almost two years sober, I still struggle from time to time with addictive tendencies. But Mr. Petersons peaching of "bear your cross" and happiness is found in adoption of personal responsibility has helped me through the years dig out of that hole. I find it too convenient that at a point where the west is struggling with an identity/drug crisis Jordan pops on the scene. Stay up folks! and fight like hell!!!

    • @DipDuckDive
      @DipDuckDive 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

I’ve been sober almost 17 years.
What you’ve described is common. I suspect all addicts go through it for lengthy periods of time, but not all of them are honest about it.
I didn’t feel comfortable with sobriety until I turned 6. That doesn’t mean you’ll go through the same thing. That was my experience. There was just a day when I woke up and I felt an awareness that I didn’t have to fight anymore.
And I didn’t. I haven’t had to fight for sobriety since that day. I don’t know what changed. I don’t know why it happened at 6 years sober. No idea. But that day, I just embraced everything, including me.
Don’t give up. Don’t let it force you into a box. Keep talking about it. Keep moving. Talk to the universe. Your one day will come, and it’ll all work out as it should. You’re doing all the right things. Keep doing that.

So many people are facing the same battle. Most don’t have the experience of combat tours but many have had a childhood of neglect or abuse. At first glance, you may think they are very different but the more you dig you will see the similarities. I can guarantee you that in every room full of people, there is at least one person who understands your struggle. You are not alone. And you are not allowed to give up. Your testimony, your journey, is meant to help bring others up. God bless you❤

I’m just watching a documentary about Steve McQueen. Guy came from NOTHING, nothing. His desire to succeed was just so strong he overcame everything in his way. But you can’t just DESIRE, you have to ACT, you have to get off your butt and be willing to do absolutely anything and everything and never complain. If you fail, figure out why, and try again and ask yourself if maybe you’re failing because it’s not what you truly want, and never succeed at anything if it’s not what you truly want, so never be afraid to simply try something else. But keep pushing forward.
I actually had some news today, that I’m being kicked out of my house, (I’m temporarily renting but it was sold and the new owner is moving in) and I told agent, it’s ok, it is what is. Tomorrow I find a new place, I’m not going to waste 1 minute worrying about it, because I can’t change it, I just have to keep moving forward.

Best wisdom I've ever related with. Be a monster, be scary be intimidating, but know when to use it. Be humble caring and kind but also have the ability to go to grave lengths to protect your loved ones more or less yourself.
I always figured whatever social opinion you have always keep a 50/50 combo of the opposite. Be prepared for everything. I'm not saying go build and underground shelter with 100lbs of MREs but no when to keep composure and also when to snap on a dime in attack mode. Life throws some pretty nasty fast balls at people. That's doesn't mean be naturally aggressive at any moment just be alert, aware and capable of doing the ugly things life may require you to do. That's your test that's your sacrifice that's your proof you can adapt and overcome. The world really is your oyster, you just gotta learn how to work with it and take what comes to you

What I've learned through his books and videos is this : What's happened, happened. You can't change the past, you cant predict an unpromised tomorrow. Setting goals, writing everything down, making plans, coming down on a agreement with yourself about future plans, its all about the NOW! You are becoming better EVERY moment with every THOUGHT! Don't hesitate to dream big. God is within you. Stop searching what is "God". God begins where the human mind stops. No matter the religion, the message is ONE! Do good to others as you have them done good to you. Imbrace yourself and your thoughts. You are having negative thoughts? GOOD! USE THEM IN A WAY THAT OVERCOMING THEM WILL BENEFIT YOU! Push your mind and exercise your body. Learn something new every moment in anything you do. Keep your mind sharp and ACCEPT yourself because only then you will understand your faults and make a genuine effort to treat YOURSELF better. IMBRACE the catastrophe and realize who you are. Stay strong

I'm happy now. and as a bonus out here I found women that don't look at your appearance and your wallet. Instead the majority of them actually look at your heart and your hands. And if they grew up out here they're usually healthier and don't worry about the petty things . Turns out they are rather enjoyable to be around.

I’m not saying don’t have compassion for others, but you need to grow up/mature and understand you can’t-nor should you-try to save people. Trust me, no matter how much you help, most of those people will not be in your life in the future. You must pursue your path, who you are meant to be-and not feel guilty about that. Note that you’re disrupting their ability to pursue their paths. I gave so much time, energy, money to people and if I could go back and put that love, time and energy into myself I would do it! Then I’d be where I should, not where I ended up. I have a good life, but not the one I want/should have. You’re young-focus on you!

I agree on most of what Jordan Peterson says, minus the part about sacrifice. As children we do not have to sacrifice our time to build a future, nor do we have to sacrifice our present for our future. When you do what you love, you don't work hard or grind, you enjoy every moment doing what you do, and you do not want to stop doing it, day or night.
When you live by the code Do What You Love you will never grind, not a day in your life. Do you know yourself well enough to know what you love, or do you follow the herd like a sheep, because you're too nosy to stop gossiping and listen to your inner voice (the only mentor that will never leave you; Your gut)?
Thank you for sharing your wisdom, Jordan Peterson. I appreciate you! May God give you the health of a young colt and the power of a old oak tree.

Drowning in anxiety and grief is not just a descent into nihilism and bitter resentment, it is a headlong dive.
Learning how to process grief is like learning to swim.
Swimming can be challenging, dangerous, exhausting and terrifying.
    But it beats drowning.
Dangerous, exhausting and terrifying is a step up from dying.
Living with unprocessed grief is emotional water boarding.
It may as well be drowning.
    It feels the same.

I agree with this with just one update. Words have power and meaning, with meaning giving it distinct power. God created existence itself with spoken word. "It is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person." Matthew 15:11
The tongue is the smallest muscle but it can either do the most damage or encourage and edify us and others. We have the power of choice, if what to do, what to say.
So I'd suggest that you use the word "immerse" oneself, as brainwashing has a connotation of enslavement. And you are not enslaved, you are FREE! Free indeed! "Free at last, free at last. Thank God almighty I'm free at last!" God is so good! God bless and Godspeed on this journey called life.

The answers non beleivers are looking for is in blind faith. Thats what they dont have. How i beleived in god when i didnt was know who they say he is and what he represents in the bible. He is the purist image of goodness we have. The devil is the ourest image of evil we have. When u surround yourself with god. Aka as good. Ur life becomes better. When u actually apply the things this god u dont beleive in. Ur life changes. I cant describe this thing but ever since i did i never let go. I always say this is the purest good i know of. This is honorable and good for me. That sparked my intrest in god. Then i tried to understand what there saying. Theres no loss in trusting god or having blind faith. U become freinds with someone who understands u. U dont need anyone else when u know him. U get so excited that u want to share the feeling u get and its so good feeling. Then u find someone who curses god when u go try to help. Then u get discouraged but u also wonder how a person could not accept something this good for you. Has someone got in your head about god before u were even aloud to understand who he was ? U built up a resentment to something u never got to know? The man on ur left and ur right cant be trusted. All information we give is not true or a lie its our perception of reality. But god is a base for it all. Once u grasp this u get curious about more. Then u look for him and find him. Thats how he leads you. Like a ghost asking u to follow. Some people get in kids heads early and try to manipulate them and tell them god isnt reall and theres even conspiracies people are beleiving that its to control the masses 😂. If u beleive that ur already controlled by someone. If u follow god only god controls u. Look around.. we arent here forever. Quit wasting thoughts on evil and being angry. No one owes u anything. Ur hurt so are we. Im not convinced he is make beleive. The best people and highest intelligence comes from men who follow god. The best and most good ive ever done for myself. Came from god. Im praying for you people who dont know. Im not saying dont question everything. Im saying ur missing out. I hope one day very soon u find out before u waste your life not knowing your true potential. Im finding mine. Only because god. I hate myself if i dont have him. Love u. ❤️ it takes courage to knock on peoples door so much that i havent even done it. I have respect for those who do. It takes guts.

even further. A lot of inspiration pops into my mind. What I am writing inspirational things. Sometimes I think I'm just going to write one sentence. But then end up writing 2 more pages. That's pretty cool.

He doesn't know the general answer for everyone's life. I lost all the aim in my life. I used to have two jobs on my earlier 30's then got married (biggest mistake!) All was taken from me! I tried to get into a career got back to school A-level in a different country, got into uni to study CS then the wife pressure for kids, from that point even though I love the kids it was just on the way of my progress. Instead I was turned to build houses for my wife, even though I was never a builder. Now I'm finishing the second house, I've done everything that you can imagine in a house including installing steel beams and build an extension and not gratification other than food and roof. The house is not mine, everything is as prescribed on the pre nuptial agreement. I did only expect respect in exchange which never happened. I'm badly trapped in this. My dad passed many years ago, my mom died last year. Now I ask you Jordan Peterson, where are my options , how can I pull this one out? Should I still believe in any of that ?

Once you understand and accept that you attract and co create your reality by the frequency/vibration you broadcast, you can begin to manifest consciously, instead of unconsciously. You stop feeling like life happens TO you and realize that it it all happening FOR you. You start seeing struggles as challenges and learning opportunities. And once you feel sincere gratitude for every experience, both light and dark, you broadcast the frequency of gratitude, which sends a message to the universe to bring more experiences into your reality that make you feel grateful.
Hard to wrap your head around and let go of victim mentality, but it makes all the difference! It changed my life!

Conflict Resolution: 'WHO'S AT FAULT?" To me Fault=Blame so I question big time from dealing with very difficult & unhealthy people since childhood, enough to know that one can get defensive when word blame pops up* I prefer let's sit down to discuss where the issue begun & what we can do from both ends to amend this by both taking responsibility leaves no room for anyone to feel defensive* since it takes two to tango/// for lack of communication, empathy & or knowledge can be the culprit, deeming a person innocently unaware in an oblivious sort of way... Really enjoyed the speech & found it to be motivation-ally enlightening🥰
