The game is definitely worth the initial difficulty Once you get comfy with its combat mechanics it becomes extremely enjoyable especially given the fact that the boss designs are the highlight of the game Please don’t give up to the initial overwhelm skurry
Shame Skurry got so frustrated with this, really thought it would be up their alley. Hopefully they try again with a cool head and stop trying to brute force every encounter.
2:44:17 end of brb I have gotten all achievements in the game and here's some spoiler-free review The game is most enjoyable if you really play into the parry (and tailsman) system for almost every enemy. you can technically rely on the dash's i-frame and spacing with only basic sword swing for everything but the enemy health and attack pattern is definitely not balanced for that and it will be dragged on into an endurance fight The tailsman can be interrupted so you should treat it as a charged heavy attack instead of a riposte. The early game is super rough on where to go so here are a few tips hack often, hack early - lots of shortcuts or passages will be opened via hacking some of them don't even require QTE If you see a statue/ turret/ weird object blocking the path, they are usually ability checks. You should be able to tell if you have something for it pretty easily. The map updates as you enter every room with compass on, use it to explore new places/ look for collectables. The NPCs do sell very useful items but they can get really costly so you might want to play a bit safer before getting back your money (for context, I obtained all collectables and bought everything with only a few k gold to spare, while a lot of them aren't necessary to beat the game, some can help if you're struggling.)
@@cryodelta I remember at one point I was talking to that priest lady and she was spitting bars and I was like "holy shit I love this game" the translation is really good, even though it's a bit off at times

Hey skur, for a small piece of advice for the combat: Parrys on the ground only parry in front of you, parrying in the air go both ways Your "parry attack" isnt like a darksouls counter hit, parrying just builds up the amount you can do, its not always best to instantly follow up with it after parrying. Parrying it meant sort of defensivly. You can also parry many attacks in a row. Also, the slightly miss timed parries give you whats called internal damage, its not real damage, as you heal it over time, but if you get hit with internal damage, you lose it all
I feel like the game doesn't do a good job explaining how the qi charge system works right out the gate, the first thing it teaches you is to parry into reposte when usually you want to save it for the right moment it's such a great game but it could do a better job easing players in, I think one of the reasons I had a good time when I started was I've played Sekiro a lot
@@themoonsevilsister1561very fair, i think the biggest offender is internal damage, it doesnt explain it amazingly, but i think for some things its okay, because you learn the basics of the system, and over time learn how to best utilize it on your own

nice^^
got this game myself, 10/10 imo. bit dialogue heavy but the visuals and combat system are insane
And the dialog "heavy" part isn't even that bad cause the story is really cool
you can also hold down a button to skip it if you want
