thanks for the vid , the sim is good but when i change from sim to an amp model in the same scene i get a loud boost for a second when i swap, is the sim in the wrong place in the chain ?? very disturbing lol sudden huge vol spike. 🙃😉😉😛
I think the blend was more definated and sounded a little more non-woofy - so that's my favorite at least :) -nice videos of the Headrush Pedalboard wich I infact just ordered second hand locally here in Norway now :) -Arnt P.
Haven't watched the full video but I was really impressed with the acoustic sim on my headrush. Granted I'm cheating a little bit by using a michael kelly hybrid guitar and blending a little bit of the piezo signal in, which gives it some more top-end... and I might be running to sim into an acoustic IR as well, I forget. But to someone's point below, I've definitely found the humbuckers to sound much much better than a single coil thru the acoustic sim. Just me though. Anyway I'll shut up now and watch the video! Thanks for the comment! Same here, I was genuinely surprised at how good it sounded. I’m always wary with these types of things. Yeah, I’m a humbucker guy too. I’ve used a couple of Acoustic IR’s. They’re fantastic, but I haven’t found one that I actually really like. Granted, I haven’t looked hard… Cheers mate. Happy playing! 🤘🏼
I do have some of theirs. The quality is fantastic! But I didn’t love the tones that I chose, purely just personal taste. And yeah I haven’t given them enough of a run.
For an acoustic you want to try and capture the sound of the acoustic guitar. A nice clean transparent amp would work. But for example a Fender amp sounds like a Fender amp, Marshall sounds like Marshall. You know what I mean? There is now an awesome acoustic pre-amp stomp within the HeadRush and it’s brilliant! That’s what I use now.

@blackpillowajulka3176 aside from using my own magic “my little pony butt symbol”, to go from an acoustic tone to full on epic blow your face off heavy tone, personally I’d reach for a high gain amp model, & tighten with an OD. I like a 4x12, so I’d find one that suits.
Great video mate. That’s why I gave the like 👍. But Tbh I wasn’t very impressed. Very flat,lifeless and generic. Like that years old Piezo sound of years gone. No body to it. Might sound better in a mix 🤷♂️

You should try loading an IR of an acoustic guitar instead of using the built in sim. I've heard a few of those and it sounds quite impressive.
I do have a few acoustic IRs which are quite good. Maybe I’ll do a comparison video.
