A little about me and this channel:
My name is James Aubrey IV and I just recently graduated college from Iowa State University. After college I decided to take a leap of faith. So I moved to San Diego California to pursue my passion for videography/ TH-cam. Overall I'm a pretty chill person, outside of TH-cam I like to longboard, dance, play video games, lift weights and hangout with my friends. I know that success on TH-cam won't happen overnight but I'm willing to stay patient and put in the work to try to prefect my craft daily. This TH-cam channel will be centered around my life after college. You will be able to see all of the ups and downs on my journey to success. What is the Rome Life ? And What does it mean to be apart of it?
Rome Life is something I started during my Sophomore year of high school (one of the worst times in my life) it started off as me documenting my journey to recovery from my shoulder surgery but eventually it turned into a platform that I could use to encourage myself as well as others to chase our dreams.
Rome Life isn't just a saying it's a way of life and for the people who want to be apart of it have to realize that. Rome wasn't built in a day it took a lot of handwork time and most importantly patience. So you can't expect your dreams to be any different

He really did build an empire in the Zou.
I tried to think of my favorite song by Tech but damn, there are just SO many fantastic songs on SO many albums.
He's always been underrated.

Tech really is the part of the truth. He got bangers, deep emotional, ROCK, speedy Gonzalez's, few slow tracks, high tracks ect. The man does it all lol
The method of rapping is called "chopping" and it's not just about being fast at rapping, but it's also entirely about pronunciation and pronouncing all syllables. Tech N9ne is probably the best example of this type of style of rap, another would probably be Twista.
I'm a punk and metal head through and through, but when I heard Drag-on and Twista on Ruff Ryders, that was a pinnacle moment in my appreciation for some forms of rap.
Busta Rhymes tho.

just thought I'd mention that Tech fully embodies the Midwest style. fast paced (90-180bpm) dark sound/lyrics and a slight jazz influence (he does Scat and raps words backwards which also mimics the feel of scat. Special Effects even has a Jazz pianist)

I spent a week in the ICU a few months ago on life support and came out of it with all kinds of anxiety and couldn't sleep for 36 hours. An awesome nurse gave me An iPad so I could listen to music to help calm me. My choice of music was Tech N9ne and Eminem. We had that hospital room hyped up more. Music does calm me in other ways though.
