Don’t know why people keep forgetting that Em came up as a battle rapper.
@@subzero308 The only reason he lost was because juices people ran the event, there was no way they was going to let some white kid beat them at their own even lol almost everyone there said Eminem should have won.
You know Em won, when mgk changed his entire genre!!! 🤣🤣 and Em wrote that in 15 minutes!!! Lmao
MGK tried to take on Em and then switched to some pseudo alt-rock and then when Slipknot's vocalist Taylor really politely declined to collab with him, MGK got super petty and public about it. And then Taylor tore MGK a new one and said: "For those of you that don’t know, MGK doesn’t like me very much. And let me follow that up by saying I don’t care
. This genre really doesn’t get the fucking respect that it deserves. [MGK] doesn't get to walk in as some weird substitute teacher and pretend that you can tell us what to wear
." I had no real issue with MGK prior to all this. Heard some of his songs on the radio and they were okay. They weren't my favorites, but I didn't switch the stations because it was good enough. But he's just got this snotty attitude. As soon as he jumps into a new genre (or gets chased off into it) he starts throwing around insults like he's the best in it. Then the actual talented people in that genre fire back and he goes all sad. Not to mention he's pretty much stolen all his looks from emo-rapper Lil Peep because nothing says original and talented like stealing looks from a 21-year-old that unfortunately lost his life to drugs.
@@edstella didn't know all that, but that's some good interesting stuff you said there!! 👍

No one tell this man that Em wrote Killshot in 15mins. He can't handle it.
Lol I think you dreaming.. he didn't write a 4 minute song in 15 minutes. There's too much wordplay in killshot. Eminem is the greatest lyricist of all time, but even he can't do the impossible

Eminem fans rejoiced when MGK dropped that, because we knew that there's gonna be an ass whooping coming
BIG facts! And as Em has always said; once I come at you, I ain't letting off that gas. Ever. That's why he still mentions Ja/Murder Inc, Benzino, Nick Cannon, Mariah, Canibus, etc. If he deads his shit or says he went too far or reacted in emotion, he generally doesn't mention those people again. Unless they say some stupid shit after he deads something.
I'm glad Proof helped Squash the Everlast beef before he passed. That one was hella personal.

"I'm shady he will have to live in my shadow"...that bar is perfect.
There isn't any doubt Em won this, you would have to sit and listen for an hour or so to catch everything that he said. He literally broke down Rap Devil, and in 15 minutes had this created that used his own lines against him. There is a reason in the late 90s and early 00s that you didn't go after Em because he was brought up in the rap battle scene and could flip the things you said and use it against you. His mastery over words is just amazing as well.
Eminem rebutted every single one of MGK's insults, then hit him back harder than he was hit. Even MGK admitted this.

Anyone still in denial and saying that MGK won it's simply because Em's shots went over their heads. That man is INSANE with his lyricism and EVERYTHING has more than one meaning. Em makes you think and that's too hard for some people.
Yes! The swayze line! Everything has a meaning. He makes it art. It's crazy
True… this young generation has to be held by the hand and explained everything. This generation nowadays doesn’t have enough sense or the vocabulary to understand is thing Eminem said.

First time hearing this battle .. Eminem definitely killed it.
Passing by another MGK's grave. They don't end and I'm run out of flowers.
Not trying to blow up the comment section but consider this: Em is essentially a middle school drop out from a lower class background and his mastery of English language, wit, ability to drop double, triples, quadruples, quintuples and metaphorical mastery puts in the same breath as the greatest poets to ever walk the earth -- literally. There's no doubt he worked tirelessly to hone his craft, but this is a once in a century wordsmith and we are fortunate to have the opportunity to see him grow and evolve for the last 20 years. He's better now than he ever was.
Facts! He put the work in and it’s paid off hugely, the best to do it I’d say, I know that’s a controversial comment to make but you can’t deny the work and skill that he produces, and staying humble with it from day one, even his influences like treach and big daddy Kane say the same
Dudes an alien 👽
The man would memorize the dictionary. I remember an interview he gave years ago when he spoke about nothing rhyming with the word orange, as is so commonly said. He rattled off two syllable words that he rhymed with the one syllable orange that put that theory to rest. The reporter was cracking up. Lol
"I wrote it on a starter cap" is referring to Eminems song "Stan". About a crazy fan.
MGK is THE Stan basically.

The thing I’ve always loved about Eminem is how his lyrics flow so smoothly from one line to the next.

MGK sounds like he's wrestling between his love for and his jealousy of Em
His diss was good though. I can't lie. He knew where to hit him. The substance was there, but the quality and the skills were lacking. Eminem brought the substance, the skills and the quality.
MGK had a fire ass track. It is BY FAR the BEST diss track Em has ever had to reply to, I can't deny that..... but Em is Em. His skill is in another solar system. His use of words, cadence, doubles, his understanding of hip hop... Big homie is untouchable.... Theres a reason no one in the industry goes after Em. And when they do.... he ends careers....

I'm not so sure about that. Go back to the em and canibis beef starting in 98. MGK stuff was a sprinkle of one liners and compliments. He obviously thought he was more talented and fell short. You need to listen to killshot 3 or 4 times before the complexity sinks in. There isn't a word that isn't intentional in Killshot while Mgk was filler.....
Also in battle rap, it is 20 times easier to go second. You just take every line they spit and refute it, which is exactly what Em did. And he is the greatest MC of all time so it was always going to end bad for MGK. But you are exactly right best battle EM ever faced, props to Colson.
Also think back to when you were in your early 20s and in love, the Halsey line alone won it, lol. I bet MGK shed a tear after that one. I was so emotional back then, when the girl you like chooses your rival, heart broken!!
