Sorry but being the sequel from the legendary SvR 2007, this game is a huge disappointment, a lot of people missing from this era like Paul London & Brian Kendrick, Deuce & Domino, Kevin Thorn, Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas, The Miz is missing which is crazy, Big Daddy V/Viscera, The Boogieman, The Highlanders, Cade & Murdoch which is crazy, in other words this game is incomplete, idk if it is because of the Chris Benoit incident or something.
Don't forget about the gameplay the gameplay was so limited because of these new flawed fighting styles THQ was trying to do at the time just was working and also the repetitive season mode.
Shame that the game looks good and this game could have been fantastic or Great Woooooo just like 06 but due to the Benoit incident THQ in the end decided to edit out stuff from the game like tag teams in the company, ruin the 24/7 mode story elements, and made the game feel little stiff or slow to move wrestlers at times
SvR 2007 got me into Wwe games, but 2008 became the game where I started to only use Created wrestlers because it allowed you to use your own music... which is how I really started to get into rock.

One word man, presentation, the presentation was amazing in this game, which is why we remember it so fondly, it's not the best wrestling game imo, but it's one of my more liked ones, soundtrack in this game is arguably the best in the series too, I'd personally say SvR2007, but this game has my second favorite soundtrack in the series.

SmackDown vs Raw 2008 was also my first WWE game. I used to think that everyone sang their own entrance songs as well. I still have some WWE action figures from this era but not as many as I used to. I had Randy Orton, John Cena, Edge, Batista, Rey Mysterio etc and I had a plastic ring to make them fight in. I wish we had these times back again. Those were for sure the glory days.

5:08 i know, it kills me to think about how from the age of 7-11 every friend I had was totally into wwe growing up, and we would talk about it constantly at school, especially at lunch. However, after the years went by know one cared anymore, except me. I just longed for the day when me and my friends would hook back up together and just sit down at the lunch table again and have one of them great conversations. But that never happened, now I’m almost 20 and my did them Lonley Monday’s go by so quick. But the sight of this game brings back so many memories. Mainly because if it wasn’t for this game I never would have discovered wwe. See most kids got the game after they had already watched wrestling however this was my first interaction with wwe so I hold this game near and dear to my heart. I still have it today along with my ps2

In Poland wrestling is so popular in 2008-2011. Even TNA been on one channel xD My friends love Jeff Hardy, everyone loves Jeff Hardy but I'm this type of kid like you and I love CM Punk because he had cool tattoes, cool music (introduce me to metal music stuff), cool finisher and I always looking for being different. In every Sunday we go to one of my friends to watch RAW and SmackDown, great memories :') Jeff and Matt Hardy rivalry? We talking about it every break in school, it's crazy. Nowadays? 06' and 07' were the best in the SvR series imo but 08' brought back ECW,Hardy Boyz and introduced us to CM Punk and that was enough for me...If Benoit,RVD,and Angle would've made it to the game I might put it over 07' or it would just be a tie between the two...06' was untouchable
