One thing I noticed watching all these videos for this specific mic is that it sounds different depending on what recording device the reviewer has connected the mic to. In some videos this mic sounded mediocre and noisy but it sounds good with a low noise floor in your video.
Before Rode Lavalier II yes,, all rode lav pretty much sound the same. At the moment, i think Rode Lavalier II (LV II) is sound the best amongst current Rode offering. On my ear, Rode LV II have more clear mid and high and it's sounds similar to Voice Technologies VT 500 lav which is the industry standart lav and cost +/- 3 times more expensive than Rode LV II
