I’m a Filipina( Filipino- American). I grew up there. Most Filipinos have a good heart but there are few of them that are jealous ones ( with crab mentality). Don’t mind them, just keep doing good things to yourself and others and have fun with what you do. You both are great bloggers. Keep it up. Take care.

There's always haters and those people probably were invious of him. He's right about Filipinos culture. They will give you there bed if they invite you to stay overnight. They are the most hospitable people on earth.
Of course there's bad people anywhere you go. Be careful there's pick picketers in some areas.

The Philippine authorities are only doing their job and do not mean any harm.
Unfortunately, some people all over the world are spreading negativity rather than positivity particularly in the States(am a Filipino living in the States but intend to go back home).

VERY IMPORTANT FOR Calvin: The ones who harassed you are more likely not Filipino bloggers. They are foreigners living in the Philippines. Check out their English, there you can detect their real identity. They also stalk a Swiss blogger who eventually quit blogging in the Philippines.
Great Video. Yes, as a Filipino, I have noticed a growing number of Non-Filipinos moving to the PH because of the Filipino hospitality and LOWER COST of LIVING compared to Europe, USA, Canada, Australia. One thing they ( EXPATS ) must remember is to do good and NOT abuse their stay in PH because they remain guest in the Philippines. And I have met a few pinheads who abuse Filipinos / Filipinas while in PH and I have l clashed with them too reminding them that they are GUEST in MY COUNTRY ( despite being married to a Filipina).

The thing about filipino is that they are not to touchy or very sensitive to small infraction...if they can let it pass, they will...thats what they view life, and they dont whine for a small problem...being resilient because of experiencing constant calamity since childhood to adulthood. It makes them more patient and understanding of the things they cant control. But, just like any race in the world they have their own imperfections. To summarize it all they are more tolerable human being to be with compared to other races.
I live in Palm Springs and made friends with many Filipinos here, they are the friendliest people ever, invite to the homes and ooooh man all the food! I'm thankful for my Filipino friends I've made here!

It's despicable how it even reaches that point of having charges brought up against you. I understand the need to take such accusations seriously, but it's ridiculous to drag someone's name through the mud like that, with no proof

Whenever that Crazy President over there, drop all these restrictions, I will go to the Philippines to find my wife. If American women was humble and friendly like these Filipina women( Not All Are Humble and Friendly), Then I would have found my wife by now. There are a few good women in America but I haven't find one yet, I no longer desire American Women.

I've been saying the same thing to Americans who think Filipinas are happy to marry fat old guys unlike Western girls...yeah that was back in the 70/80s when only fat old guys were going there. Today a lot of younger guys attracted to short Asians with long hair are going and girls are choosing them. Goes to show Filipinas are no different to any other girls

Can a foreigner work or allow to have a small business to support the family and pay the bills? Yea things are changing and get expensive everywhere even in a poor country. Thank you! It depends on what Vida you come here. If you're on a tourist visa like I I and can live here up to 3 years, then you cannot work here. If you have a work visa then yes you can work for an employer. As fwr as opening your own small business, I know it's allowed, but I'm not sure about the requirements or legal side if things.

A foreigner married to a local can definitely own a property and have a business in the Philippines.
me and my husband living in philippines for 5 years now and we do have our business construction products. the business is in my name we bought properties both in our name it says there married to. its the filipina name. just be careful whom you trust especially money matters just a piece of advice. my husband is lucky because me and my family dont take advantage of his money. welcome to philippines

I appreciate you guys laying your hearts bare regarding the dating scene here in PH but I disagree, I do think that internet has influence but on different reason, getting involve with AFAM often connotes negative meaning as them being gold diggers that maybe the reason why they shy away and please guys if you don't want to feel like a gold mine be reminded that YOU also has the right to choose your partner. I know you guys have no ill intentions when you let out those sentiments but please understand that it doesn't come across as nice as you expected it to be. We Filipinos aren't very calculative when it comes to love so I'm pretty sure it's not what's in your bank account that made them say yes 😊

So bottom line is it worth it to move to the Philippines? The last time I was there we left, ran into Typhoon Patsy and had to come back for repairs. I liked the Philippines, I liked the people and as a Disabled American Veteran I’m trying to figure out the last stages of my life.

A foreigner can't own land there. If you marry she can own it. If she throws you out you are out of luck.
No need to buy land in the Philippines. Just buy a condo or own land and property in your home country. Lease or rent it out and don't marry anyone you don't 100% trust. I know it sounds obvious but us men are pretty stupid and ignore many red flags.
