To clarify, Homunuli have regeneration, but it's reliant on the stone's energy - Mustang burned Lust so much that her stone's energy was completely exhausted, so she couldn't heal and was eradicated.
funny thing is that the guy how dubs mustang and lust are actually married in real life .... so you pretty much understand that they got a kick out of this episode :D especially when mustang put his hand in her chest :P
We knew from before that Mustang had gone through a lot, and that he was a smart bastard, but as you said, this is the point when he went from "cool character" to "WOW what a badass". Like, it's almost ridiculous. Especially following on episode 17 and 18, where you've gone from hating/distrusting Mustang, back to liking him and being impressed because he's so smart, to THIS. And this episode in itself is an emotional rollercoaster. As you said, you keep guessing if someone is dead, is this person gonna die, etc. It's stressful! But that marks a good episode, really. Can't wait for next one, especially with that ending. Your discussions are really interesting, love to hear your thoughts, and can't wait to move even further into this show. :D
Yeah I've gone from almost hating him.. to he's smart I like him.. to damn he's a badass lol...definitely a stressful episode but I enjoyed it ....yeah I'm really looking forward to the next episode ! Thank you :)
I noticed a little confusion from you when Mustang transmuted the water. All alchemists can transmute any element, as long as they understand the makeup of it. The glyph on Roy's glove is a transmutation circle for fire, so he doesn't need to draw it out each time he does the transmutation, making fire a quick solution for him. However, in order to transmute the water, he had to draw the circle, since he didn't already have a circle available to him. I hope that makes sense.
I know I'm super late, but for others coming in late as well I just want to clarify that this information is partially wrong. Yes, all alchemists can transmute any element, though some transmutations do require specific circles. Based on what I've seen from the series, any type of circle can do basic alchemy - things like removing protons/electrons from certain elements to turn them into other elements. The glove that Mustang uses is for ease of access, but also a spark generator, as alchemy cannot just "create" fire. The snap of his fingers while wearing the glove creates a spark and then alchemy takes it from there, changing its direction, strength, and so on. There's a reason flame alchemy is so strong and dangerous - because all you need is a little spark and all the oxygen in the air. You'd literally never run out of fuel for your flames. So here Mustang's glove gets wet which means he can't make a spark - the gloves have to be bone dry to get that friction. However, the circle is still here, meaning he can still perform any other basic forms of alchemy, including separating the oxygen and hydrogen atoms from water (H2O) to make hydrogen gas (H2).
I really like this episode but my favorites are yet to come. I loved rewatching this with you! I was also pretty moved by Hawkeye and then FREAKING MUSTANG!!jeiqoxbalxkapriw😂 (he's my favorite character)
Wolf Nation. Come wolf get with the program!😂nah Jk. Mustang became my favorite after he actually saved Maria Ross and then for this episode and for future ones. oh yeah, in the previous episode I had told you it was going to be lit 🔥... did I tell you or what?!😂
"Wrath is not technically a villain" Future wolf will laugh at you Present Wolf. Full metal alchemist has now left the introductory stage and is now about to get Hype.
The homunculi are made up of the philosopher's stone. The red drink that Father drank was Greed's philosopher's stone. Father destroyed Greed and absorbed Greed back into his body. Lust's stone disintegrated and she died for good.
I don't know if you noticed, but when Barry's body decided to kill his soul, he was hesitant and crying. He definitely died, but maybe he knew what he was doing.
Nice to meet you I am Japanese. I always let you see it fun. Episode 19 is a very favorite story and Mustang is cool. There is still a lot of excitement and wonderful stories so please enjoy it. I support you. I'm sorry if English is studying and it's tough
Nice to meet you too :) yeah so far episode 19 is my favorite as well....I'm looking forward to it....thanks for your support & yeah learning a second language is tough but keep up with your studies & you will learn it in no time :)
Burning the Philosopher's Stone won't destroy it. Back in episode 3, Ed implied that Philosopher's Stones are supposed to be perfect matter and hence indestructible. The most practical way to get rid of them is to use up all of their energy like Mustang forced Lust to do.
Lust’s voice actor, Laura Bailey, lost her voice after all that screaming. Ironically, her husband, Travis Willingham, plays Mustang- and he had to help care for her in the aftermath lol.
Praise to Lust' dub, she made a great job as good as the original. Being from Mexico and growing watching FMAB in japanese kinda hate Mustang's dub, it sounds so old.
Laura Bailey, also voice of kid trunks in dbz, Jaina from World of Warcraft, and a bunch of other video games, and ya Roy Mustang's VA is her husband Travis Willingham.
I can very much guarantee you wouldn't like Barry much in the original series. Although he was a cool character, he had to die, regardless. What better way to die than by the hands of your own body-at least, I'd imagine he'd say something like that. The Ross situation made me hate Mustang less, but he just had to spark it up. Lust has always been my favorite. And Hohenhiem!!!
Thanks :) ...yeah your usually only allowed to use 10-15 minutes of a shows footage (if you use anymore you'll get a copyright strike & they'll take your video down)
it was just a fireball to take out Gluttony, Mustang's specialty is fire, not lava or anything like that, had he used Lava it would've spilled to the ground. The Stone is more a battery powered by souls, every time a homunculus heals itself it uses some of the souls to complete the task like Cornello used the stone to feign miracles, when the stone is empty the Homunculus can't heal anymore, meaning that it'll die and the stone along with it. Destroy the stone and you destroy the homunculus
Yeah I know he cant use lava was just wondering if the temperature of his flames can reach the temp of lava...I see so if you killed them a certain amount of times they'll use up the stone & die...thanks for the info :)
Wolf Nation Not just dying. Every bit of regeneration uses up some of the Stone's power. Mustang was MILLIMETERS from having her fingers in his brain, so without Hawkeye shooting her up, and even Hughes's dagger back in episode 10, Roy wouldn't be alive.
I guess Lust was... smoking hot.
too soon :(
Havoc's relationship went up in flames.
Lol
The story is building up so well!! I'm so excited man, this show just keeps getting better throughout the entire series until it's very last moments.
Yeah it is! I'm excited too :)

Really ? that's cool...lol
Wolf Nation he was more then enough man to get her on her knees
Apparently he texted her when they got the script for this episode saying something like “Hahahahaha I’ll bring the BBQ”

Yup it's here. One of the greatest moments of FMA:B.
:)

I see..thank you for the clear up :)

Hohenheim is here!
Its getting real interesting....
One of the things that makes Lust's death so awesome is the score. The song's name is Battle Scherzo.
Yeah the score was good :)
Oh the foreshadowing........ "I can't wait to see the day when those eyes will be blind with agony".........
Roy Mustang is such a badass character one of my top 5 characters in this whole series
That he is ;)
Finally! The Flame Alchemist is badass
;)
I really like this episode but my favorites are yet to come. I loved rewatching this with you! I was also pretty moved by Hawkeye and then FREAKING MUSTANG!!jeiqoxbalxkapriw😂 (he's my favorite character)
So far its one of my favourites...glad you enjoyed watching with me :) I'm starting to really like him...
Wolf Nation. Come wolf get with the program!😂nah Jk. Mustang became my favorite after he actually saved Maria Ross and then for this episode and for future ones. oh yeah, in the previous episode I had told you it was going to be lit 🔥... did I tell you or what?!😂
Lol (yeah I have a feeling he'll eventually become one of my favorites )...that you did..lol :)
i just watched this episode an hour ago and it was great.
glad i'm watching this as u continue.
great reaction as always.
Glad you're watching it along with me :) Thanks
"Wrath is not technically a villain" Future wolf will laugh at you Present Wolf. Full metal alchemist has now left the introductory stage and is now about to get Hype.
Lol...I just meant he's not a villain the public eyes.....I'm excited :)
Uff the moment we've all been waiting for.
:)

Got it..thank you for the info :)

I didn't ....interesting..

A great episode definitely one of the badass moments of Mustang :)
"Gluttony is just a... rabid dog." Hahahahaha
;)

It's coming...its..coming....
Lol
mustang greatness yeaaah!
:)
Lust has always been my favorite homunculus.
She was one hell of a character
Yes! one of my favorites
Same here :)
Lust’s voice actor, Laura Bailey, lost her voice after all that screaming. Ironically, her husband, Travis Willingham, plays Mustang- and he had to help care for her in the aftermath lol.
this show is amazing
Yeah it is !
oh Hell Yeah!
;)
loved this epsiode good reaction i'd like to see you react to Fairytail as your next series
Thanks...I actually got a couple of requests for Fairytail ..I will add it to the next poll I put up :)
Praise to Lust' dub, she made a great job as good as the original. Being from Mexico and growing watching FMAB in japanese kinda hate Mustang's dub, it sounds so old.
Yeah whoever voiced Lust did one hell of a job :)

Interesting so he was different in the original series....I guess his death was poetic....she was a great character sucks that's she's gone...
Hey man loved the reaction! Just curious, is there a reason you cut parts of the reaction out? Keep up the good work!
Thanks :) ...yeah your usually only allowed to use 10-15 minutes of a shows footage (if you use anymore you'll get a copyright strike & they'll take your video down)
