A few years ago California voted and passed with a %70 win to reclassify numerous crimes as non violent. It did away with enhanced sentences to reduce prison populations. Among those crimes was rape by means of an intoxicant. Many of the reclassified crimes were heinous. I seriously do not understand the liberal mind.

A few years ago California voted and passed with a %70 win to reclassify numerous crimes as non violent. It did away with enhanced sentences to reduce prison populations. Among those crimes was rape by means of an intoxicant. Many of the reclassified crimes were heinous. I seriously do not understand the liberal mind.

Calling this 'mercy' is profaning the ideal of 'mercy'. This isn't mercy on the part of the prosecutor, though I'd guess they believe it is. This is, as Cruz stated, a prosecutor deciding that some laws just aren't to their liking. It's ego and narcissism on their part.
Mercy, on the other hand, is not ego. It is a gift granted to the guilty by the judge. Not a decision by a prosecutor to call them not guilty in the first place.

@@The2ndFirst Was just thinking about that the other day. I have come to the conclusion it was who his opponent was and the timing of it all. Beto was loved and adored by the world and the world was bent on going after Trump and all Republicans. It was effective in the beginning and a lot sadly believed that Republicans were the enemy and a bunch of nazis. Voting in that election was actually the first time I ever voted Red. Cruz isnt perfect but he definitely earned my vote and I cant wait to vote for him again ^.^

@@HitmonD lol this perspective was btfo'd the day it hit the news, at worst it was slightly dodgy optics but Ted Cruz was not in a position to do much about the weather, what would you expect him to do have a hearing about the need to stop snow falling from the sky? Potential extreme weather is local government duties. Now if there was a lack of central government money for the things needed to help in those situations Cruz could do something about that or at least attempt to. Also as soon as he got the slightest wiff of back lash he went home knowing his hands are tied on that matter but not wanting his party to suffer for the lefts lack of knowledge or understanding, you can't even get your president to do that lol only tribal lefties who do not understand the role of government were pissed at him, most people were confused by the back lash at the time and care even less about it now.

However, the deep state will demonize anyone that's not part of them just like they did to Trump, a Republican, and JFK, a Democrat. Besides, we can't abandon someone that was right and fought for us against the FED, pharma, and oil industries, and placed other nations in their perspective places... he fought for us, our nation, and our Constitution and we can't deny that just because the media and the establishment go crazy! After all, the media is also part of the deep state, mostly owned by Murdock and Soros.
In addition, we should also know by now that the two political party structure has become part of their control strategy to make us fight one another while they continue to expand their NWO agenda. They (deep state) do things behind the curtains, without the knowledge of about 70% of the American people while we fight one another.

At first a couple of years ago I just thought of him as a loud barking dog. But this man knows the law and is truly a force to be reckoned with. I appreciate his stand on a lot of issues more now.
