Sharing this around because I haven't seen enough people talking about it. The house was equipped with an ALARM! I don't know if it was not functioning, or simply turned off, but please remind your loved ones that they should take their safety seriously. I'm not saying everyone needs to bar their windows and doors or NEED to install an alarm system.. but if you have it, use it! And every building has locks for doors and windows. An alarm going off, a few seconds locking doors, and a semblance of vigilance/awareness could have been the difference between life and death for these 4. It's unbelievably terrifying that the killer had 3 potential points of entry that aside from a dog that was shut in a room there were absolutely zero defensive measures utilized when they had access to multiple. It's not about being paranoid of impending doom, it's about assuring that you can live the rest of your life with your parents/kids/family/friends. Tragedy is sometimes avoidable.

Bc in these frat/drunk houses things like noise and fighting happen all the time. A bf or gf fighting etc, they never think someone is killing. They were so drunk as usual that they just went to sleep hoping it wasn't real. I hope they never touch a beer again

I just can't imagine the unbelievable pain that these victim's families are experiencing! The sickness of the mind to conduct such unimaginably corrupt crimes is beyond my explanation. I owe everything to the Moscow Police Department. I also give my condolences for the grieving families that had to go through this horror and turmoil! Though Bryan is in custody, there still cannot be denying that the plea in court will ever ease the pain and sorrow for the beloved 4 U of I students. Such a tragedy, and I'm so sorry for these poor families who lost their loved ones!

He forgot to take the knife sheath with him. The sheath was used to obtain DNA and tie it back to him by comparing it with DNA from his father that was found in the trash bin at the father's home. I wonder at what point it dawned on the killer that he left the knife sheath behind. Is it at that point he was shitting bricks?

Previously the remaining 2 roommates said that they called their friends over when they saw their roommates “PASSED OUT” late afternoon. Now the remaining roommates are claiming that they saw the suspect when she heard some noise. So how come they only called the police in the afternoon when they apparently saw the killer/intruder early morning and they never called 911?

Now we know why they didn't release the 911 call. The call probably has evidence and witnesses in the call. I figured as much but had no idea they saw the killer.
This is why they called friends when the sun came up . . . "come to my house and make sure it's ok for me to come out of my room" type of thing.
    So scary for them.
