So that is where they all went. I daily drive a 72 polara 2dr and can't find the rear window glass. Body parts are hard to find. Great bunch of beauties👍
My dad had one of these, a New Yorker. On a certain stretch of elevated highway, at 60 mph, it would leap and dive like a porpoise over the expansion strips.
I also most bought a 69 with a 440 at the start of the pandemic. Good Canadian shape. Interior was mint. The guy wanted 2500 friken bucks!! But my wife said it looked like a an old mans car. Got neutered right then and there. Fu@k!! Edit: Check that it was a Newport.
Did I see a 69 Polara toward the rear? I had one of those, a 2dr with 383 2B auto. Well used by the time I got it. It went to the wrecker after 3 years.
Most excellent.. To keep them running forever, change the oil pump every 100,000 miles or so. The pump is located on the outside of the engine driver front side, makes for easy replacement. This is for the "Wedge" motor only which includes almost all of those cars shown. Easy to tell if you have one, the distributor is in front/top of engine at an angle, passenger side. The other end of this shaft is down low and drives the oil pump. Engine sizes are 361/383/400/413/426/440.
I’m impressed that Europeans of all people care and understand these big American cars from the past. I guess not all of them are snobs with anti-American attitudes mixed with envy.
I am surprised how well the styling on these cars has looks today. At the time they seemed a bit uninspired, styling-wise, but the clean lines still look good. Their suspensions were surprisingly agile, too, compared to the other crap being sold at the time.
Nice!
Suscribed!
