Man, riding to klr off road really makes you wish the gear ratio for the first gear was lower, so akward feathering the clutch trying to avoid stalling the engine when doing stuff
So true, and the bike was also tall for me and I did not like how I couldn't put my feet down. If I ever got another off-road on road bike I'd prolly get a straight dual sport.
@@GratefulOverlander I like the klr but I'm thinking of getting the Honda ADV 150, always enjoyed scooters and being able to go down some dirt roads is all I need.
Its a heavy bike, and you can feel the weight. That being said you can ride it over anything a dirtbike can handle and it will do it. I even took it to an offroad park and climbed a rather difficult rocky uphill section. Its not as fun when you crash though because of its size and weight.
Nice video! That 2007 KLR looks so much lighter than these new KLRs. I think the new KLR is around 485 and this one is probably 430
Looks like the Texas Hill Country… where a KLR would be at home
Both is correct
So nice to see a riding video with no bs music! 👍👍
Is this Northern Az?
Thanks it's in Central Texas. I sold the bike but planning on getting something to off-road with again soon.
Good exhaust
Thanks the baffle is in too, without it was too much
Sweet
how and where did you get that fuel cap. Im sick of my stock one pukeing fuel out when i put it on its side lol PLEASE LET ME KNOW LOL
It comes with the aftermarket IMS tank.
@@kennyp11111 Where is it routed? I bought my KLR with that same tank already on it but the hose is maybe 3 inches long and has a removable cap lol.
@slayerficated it is just vented to atmosphere

@@kennyp11111 they make thinner seats, and the 2023 KLR has an 'S' model which will be shorter
