When you have an investment of billions of dollars, for just one carrier, and that does not include all the aircraft, you must protect it. Great to see the innovation and commitment of the Navy.
I agree with Mr. Powell. The navy would not spend the money on these massive war machines if they were not able to successfully able to defend them and the naval personnel that man's them. God Bless the United States and our Armed Forces.
China has adopted the doctrine of saturation attack: not one cruise missile or suicide drone at a time, but 80 or 200 -- because they are cheap while the target value is high.

I literally thought this was real for a minute until i noticed that shading was off for clouds showing "depth" and the smoke from destroyed aircraft.....i sure hope you are either independently building PC wartime simulation games or are working with members of game manufacturers in the likes of DCS and Vtol, outstanding job!!!
Imagine if you took out all existing coms to a major fleet/vessels & then convinced the country/commanders with high-tech grafix that they experienced catastrophic loss of assets in battle with great video of their best assets destroyed & helpless long enough to promt a successful surrender before they realize they had not realized they hadn't lost most their fleet & were watching a damn good movie... what's that old saying warriors win battles, logistics win wars ! What would a commander do that believes he has nothing left to command ?
yeah, if you could have them up 24/7 with with enough power and enough cooling, it'll be amazing. With enough power you could take down almost anything. Never need any kinetic or chemical weapons (as in explosive), except for very far off targets like long range attack planes, as lasers wont be effective on very long range due to crap like dust in the air bringing down the power. Railguns would also be great, but not guided at long range, though, I've always wondered if, say, you launch a projectile via a railgun and then the last few kilometers, have a small rocket or electrically moved fins to guide it for fine movement.
we never had that many cwis on the nimitz , now and days they have nato sea sparrow missile system ... CWIS is ship based and CRAM is land based.. EXCELLENT SIMULATOR THOUGH

I wonder how many incoming missiles would it take to overwhelm these phalanx systems. The simulation basically showed concentrated fire on one missle at a time.
Battleships in a war will not be on their own they will be part of battle groups and they will have aircraft in the air as well. And the volume that they will unleash will be far greater than the video game shows. Those C-Rams are not a single line of fire they fill up the volume of space with explosive rounds. Those tracers you are see are one in every ten rounds.

The supersonic missile technology, very silent submarines or long range torpedoes, are in reach of many countries now a days. These technologies once only in the US,Russia knowledge are reachable by more and more countries nows. Such as drone technology, ballistic missile technology, nuclear energy and weapons. Iran, Turkey, China are building very cost effective drones. Turkey is converting its LHD into drone carries. A capable air defence system like S400 in mediterreneam sea, can hinder all capabilities of air craft carries. Many countries are now building sophisticated longe range air defence systems. All major players now adays have them. Especially after the success of drones have been seen . I believe this is one of the reasons why US is building pressure on Turkey. Aircraft carries may be still useful in deep blue waters, but many areas which serious conflicts exist, they are pretty much in grave danger like south china sea. Anyhow, while there 20 billion homeless people in US. I do not think that these expensive carries do not give much benefit to US with bad economy.
F35s are mobile defense against any air attacks. They can easily track, and quarterback to loaded f18s target information on any type of known weapon system to shoot it down. Best of luck

US battleships are part of groups. So that means the US right now can form about 11 such battle groups with each group able to put over 100 aircraft in the air. Think of how large those ships are now think of how much ammunition they can carry and unleash. Each Carrier group will have its own battle squadron that on its own would be impossible to take down never mind a carrier being present. In WW3 the US will have about 1000 carriers active.

This is a best case scenario for the enemy with traditional means. In close, stationary, no aircraft or escort fleet. You could I guess overwhelm it. But it would still take a lot of kit to kill it.
US Aircraft carriers are extremely tough and would require massive missiles to actually hit them. In a real battle it would take constant hits from artillery that is by the way far more effective than a missile to take down those carriers. Here is the thing that most people do not realize is that carriers in a war would be part of a group and if a major world war was to break out the US would have a thousand of them active.

Only in simulations you would have the option on/off (Or a cheat code) unlimited Ammo :) In reality the enemy (Russia) have installed in their Su's a Jamming device which was put into practice against an American warship. One split second: "No power".

This is actually a good way to waste the enemies C-RAM bullets so that the jet fighters have a better chance at attacking
C-RAMS (Counter rocket, artillery, and mortar) aren't used to take down jets, they would use SM type missiles.

US Aircraft carriers are extremely tough and would require massive missiles to actually hit them. In a real battle it would take constant hits from artillery that is by the way far more effective than a missile to take down those carriers.
Here is the thing that most people do not realize is that carriers in a war would be part of a group and if a major world war was to break out the US would have a thousand of them active.

@@bighands69¿ me entero! q estados unidos tienen mil portaaviones y q el fuego de artillería es mas efectiva q los misiles, mínimo vives bajo una piedra para hacer semejante comparación de fuego y precisión o eres estupido ya q todavia no e visto ninguna artillería con mas poder destructivo y precisión q el de un misil hipersónico con capacidad nuclear o un misil telmo bárico o misiles nucleares normales pero bueno segun tu logica los misiles no sirven contra un portaaviones por q me imagino q cuando le lanzen un ataque a esos portaaviones les lanzaran misiles relleno de flores y misiles de juguetes porq la única potencia con armas de verdad es estados unidos entonces y los demas paises son simples moscas en comparación a estados unidos q tiene según tu miles de de estos grupos de portaaviones jajajajajajajajaja a y respecto a si se llega a desatar una nueva guerra mundial de poco le servirá a estados unidos si tiene 11 portaaviones en servicio 66 de echo es el numero máximo q a construido estados unidos de los cuales muchos de ellos ya están inservibles o descontinuados y de esos 66 solo 11 están operativo y activos hoy en dia asi q no se de donde sacaste q estados unidos tiene mil portaaviones activos en espera de la próxima guerra mundial a otra cosa países potencia como rusia y china tienen en su arsenal misiles hipersónicos con capacidad nuclear capaces de destruir portaaviones enteros incluso muchos de los navíos escoltas de dicho portaaviones resultarian destruidos y muchos otros con daños irreparables sin hablar de la total perdida de las vidas humanas q serán carbonizadas al instante y los q no morirán por radiación y todo ese daño tan solo con un misil hipersónico con ojivas nucleares.!

It's a video game this never happened , if it were a real time fight the Russians would have used the mach 9 missiles' to sink the Navy ships which are fast becoming a serious target as the Russians have unstoppable weapons now , this video is to get Americans hyped up as we are nearing WW3 starting with Russia , the video is pretty cool looking though ?

I remember 30 years ago when it was America who woke the world up about Hypersonic, I have seen videos of hypersonic missiles in the Korean war. What America is interested in is stopping the hypersonic as they are doing here, and if you haven't been keeping up, they have great progress in the past 10 years.
