Woody Woodpecker's Frustrated Vacations (Portuguese: Férias Frustradas do Pica-Pau) is a platform video game developed and published by Tectoy for the Sega Mega Drive, and the Sega Master System, based on classics film series Woody Woodpecker, created by Walter Lantz. It was released in Brazil only.
The player takes the role of Woody Woodpecker. Woody's attack is using his beak to attack at enemies. One can also jump to cross platforms or to avoid enemy attacks such as throwing acorns. Also the player would have to collect money bags which are across the levels. Aiding Woody Woodpecker is a rocket pack which makes the player travel faster and a horn to wake Wally Walrus, however these only appear in the Mega Drive version.
At the start of the game, Woody Woodpecker and his friends are travelling down in a car towards their vacation spot. When Woody takes a photo of his friends, a flash suddenly makes them disappear. A letter falls. It reads that Buzz Buzzard (known as Zeca Urubu in Portuguese) has kidnapped Woody's friends and the first to go is Andy Panda. Woody has to save them.
Férias Frustradas do Pica-Pau (roughly translated as Woody Woodpecker's Frustrated Vacations) is a platform game developed and published by Tectoy and released exclusively in Brazil for the Sega Mega Drive and Sega Master System. It stars cartoon character Woody Woodpecker on a quest to save his friends kidnapped by Buzz Buzzard.
Férias Frustradas do Pica-Pau is unusual in that it keeps a non-shaded cartoon style throughout the entire game.

@Fernando Yanmar It really does. I can certainly tell that they didn't have much experience in making a game themselves. Hey, they did improve later on, & Devworks Game Technology would be a subsidiary of Tectoy used for game development.

If someone told me this was made in 1996 I would not believe them at first since there were games like Mario 64 out at the time and compared to this this game looks like a game from 1989

Tem vários outros jogos que também eram feitos pela tectoy lançados pra master system e mega drive que conseguiam ser bons, tipo os da mônica
I really do wish that there was an officially released Woody Woodpecker game for the NES and the SNES. But sadly they didn't do it. Universal at the time could have opted to license the franchise to a third-party game developer (like Konami, Sunsoft and Kemco) and have the developer's game licensed by Nintendo. so this and the GBC Woody Woodpecker games and Crazy Castle 5 are the closest to Woody Woodpecker games on the NES and the SNES.
The game's title references the film "National Lampoon's Vacation", which was called "Férias Frustradas" in Brazil. The 1983 film is also a huge success in Brazil.
It was a good first attempt by Brazil to make their own video game, and made a game based on Universal’s most popular cartoon character, who continues to be popular in Brazil, but there is a better Woody Woodpecker game than this mess like Escape from Buzz Buzzard Park.

and it really has, just like, the roms of the game that are on the internet are from a pirated ROM from china, which removed the introduction and Copyright information, in the original it had the Sega logo, and then the TecToy logo and then woody appearing in the middle of the logo
