Hi Sean, nice store tour video! I liked fact that you identified most of the species that you videoed, that is a big help when it comes to knowing which fish are which. I also caught your video on the two many tanks syndrome. I have to agree with you, I had 14 tanks and really didn’t enjoy any of them. I spent so much time trying to keep up with maintenance that I had very little time to enjoy the tank. It is always a lot of fun to set up a new tank, but when you have too many it takes away from enjoying the hobby. I think it’s an excellent idea when you talk about just re-doing some of your tanks. I definitely think it’s better to have a few tanks that you really enjoy as opposed to many tanks that you don’t have time to sit back and really take a good look at the tank itself. That is really the best part of the hobby is to watch the interaction of the fish and to enjoy your personal creativity! Thank you for bringing the subject matter up, so many Videos just talk about more and more tanks! Good luck with your board gaming, you’re a man of many talents!
That onscreen advice @10:39 was a godsend. My 3 week old dirted tank is just now finishing its initial “meltdown” phase. For the first 2 weeks all I did was continuously push uprooted stems back into the substrate. Phew...I’m so thrilled that trip is over. Now my swords and other nameless plants are actively growing newer leaves. I even threw in some floating water sprite. I swear, I had no idea it would be months instead of a week or 2 for the plants to settle in👍🏾.
I have a lot of plants in my brackish tank w my Figure 8 Puffers it’s about 3 months old. Little algae at first but great now. Bumblebee Gobies & I keep 1 Molly to help keep it clean. Two Elegant Gobies help clean up also. Love this tank & so easy🤗 I also have a couple of Zebra Nerite snails I got as large as I could get & so far ok w my puffers.
Great fish store (tanks and fish). Wish Seattle had a store like this one. Back in the 1960s, we had a wonderful store called "Massi" and other really good fish stores in South King county where people who sold fish they bred in their home fish rooms but they are all gone. Thanks for the video that brings back memories.
This is about the tenth time I've watched this video and man do I miss that store. Hopefully I'll get there more often here in the next few months, then next fall I'll be back living in the Knoxville area.
Very nice video, the fish colours are really showing well! That's good camerawork, man. :) I'm planning to start this hobby soon so this has been helpful. Greetings from the Netherlands.
I like this channel, and the hobby in general, because with my job and what I see (law enforcement) it’s nice to watch something so peaceful and calm compared to what I deal with day to day.
Sweet video. I have had a parrot fish named Perry for the last five years, he has more personality than most fish that I have kept. He has no aggression at all towards other fish, including many nano schools. The only draw back is he loves snacking on plants. I hope you enjoy yours.
Love this LFS, the quality and care really shows. Every time I go there; I tell myself not to go in the fish room. Low and behold I walk out with new fish. Thanks for the reminder of “customer appreciation day”, Fired Up!!!
One of my favorite LFS. I live just over an hour drive away. I was just in last week. The stock choices are amazing. Always make it to the annual Customer Appreciation Day Sale. Last year I saved over $200 stocking up on items that were up to 50% off. Many of the fish in my tanks came from there. While they do not QT and prophylactically medicate new fish, they do hold them several days to observe for any symptoms, before releasing them for sale. I always QT at home no matter the sourcing. Great video. Thanks!
There pleco tanks are just awesome. I'm kinda glad I stayed out of the fish room now cause I could of seen myself going home with a few puffers. Oh and that cardnal tetra tank was just a sight. Kinda wanna do a tank like that one day. Hundreds of tiny fish :)
What! you don’t even quarantine, Wow! you like living dangerously. If I were to try that I’d end up paying for it big time. I found you really can’t trust even your local fish stores to consistently get healthy fish, even if they look healthy. My friend you should never let your guard down and get lazy that way. Love your channel.
I'd have to go with the lemon tetras and blue eye rainbows. Two of my favorite fish, it could look nice having them together, similar fin coloration with different eye colors.
I wish I had a LFS like that within driving distance. I don't have the restraint you so admirably displayed coming home with only 3 bags of fish. I would most likely be hauling them out in a wheel barrow just to get them to the car, LOL.
I have to save up for a game convention. :). But uummm I’m going back today. KP is working there again so I get a little bit of a discount. Thank goodness.
Crypts, Val, Money Wort, Wisteria, Java Fern & one I cant remember the name. Starts w an A & it is very common. This is what I have in the brackish tank I was talking about just a minute ago. People seem to not know what plants to put in brackish so hope this helps. Oh yes, Java Moss also along w the algae balls that start w an M.
At 6:06, you may have forgotten the name of one of my favorites, the Birchardi. I'm guessin your not the biggest fan of cichlids though. I'm definitely not a fan of Mollies either 😉
Forgot to add the Anubis. Run lights 8 hrs & have the light that comes w the 10 gal Dennerle aqua scape tank. Use Easy Green fertilizer once or sometimes twice a week. Change about 50% water once a month. Put some ghost shrimp in the other day. Just saw one. He must be a fast one!
Your plants in the big tank where you put the parrot fish are just beautiful! Is it the co2 that makes all the difference? My plants always have brown or burnt edges and any broad leaf plants just seem to eventually die and grow back real small new leaves. My 2 Amazon sword plants are the only thing that stay green and look healthy all the time. Suggestions? I’m thinking about co2 now that their making it easier to use. Great video thanks for sharing.
Good day. Your videos are very interesting and helpful. We are about to get a Fluval Flex 15G and would like to know if we could match about 12 neons with a couple of little scalaire (ange)? Thanks in advance for your reply. Cheers
I'm having kinda the same problem as you but with rams lol. I've got a tiny German male chasing a bigger female around and now her fins are right clenched! I've got him in the "time out box" as I don't have an extra tank available ATM.. Well she won't leave his side... Maybe I should get another female?
Man, on May 19th I have my dad's birthday party in Chattanooga, and then that night i have a show in Asheville I have tickets to. Knoxville isn't going to make the list this year.
your biggest tank seems to be your most successful tank. congratulation! I really like those big fish. By the way, what type of light do you use on your 210 planted tank?
Thanks yes it’s one of the best I’ve been to. There is a pretty cool one in Chattanooga also you can hit on the way back. :). It’s called Bermuda Triangle try not to get lost. Har har har
Really sad...no pure lfs within a reasonable drive of my house near the Indiana and Michigan border. There were a couple, but the maintenance declined so bad that it got totally dicey to buy there and they eventually shut down.
Nice aquarium shop, here in the UK ours are closing down making it harder to get stock or having to travel further afield. Do you have the same problems in the US?
Last time i did a quick web search in the store I ended up with a figure 8 puffer (web search said freshwater is fine). I now have a brackish tank with algae problems as was originally set up as a freshwater tank. Proper research is important.

Sorry for my language but DAMN!! those are some nice looking fish! I just love the neon rainbows and pea puffers!!
Fun haul! Love that yellow blood parrot 💛💛💛
Loved those dwarf neon rainbows...
Me too I want some.

I think a lot of the bread at home crowd went to the internet. Clubs are the closest I’ve seen to that lately.
This is about the tenth time I've watched this video and man do I miss that store. Hopefully I'll get there more often here in the next few months, then next fall I'll be back living in the Knoxville area.
I'm jealous of your fish store. My local stores are boring and have puny aquatic selections.
Dang.. that store is huge.. Love the Goby at the store.. Rainbow Tank looking amazing.
Very nice video, the fish colours are really showing well! That's good camerawork, man. :) I'm planning to start this hobby soon so this has been helpful. Greetings from the Netherlands.
Great videos of the individual fish and I love that you labeled them!
I got as many as I could. There were a bunch I couldn’t remember the names of.
I like this channel, and the hobby in general, because with my job and what I see (law enforcement) it’s nice to watch something so peaceful and calm compared to what I deal with day to day.
Your pleco is going to love all the algae in that tank lol.
I'd recommend putting some drift wood in there for him to munch on.
Sweet video. I have had a parrot fish named Perry for the last five years, he has more personality than most fish that I have kept. He has no aggression at all towards other fish, including many nano schools. The only draw back is he loves snacking on plants. I hope you enjoy yours.
Great vid. Thanks for sharing. That main tank is amazing.
4:04 red cap oranda. Our is named Sundee cause she/he has a cherry on top. Lol
Your 200 has become a glorious tank now its more established.
That is a great LFS. Lucky. I don't have one within a 100 miles.
Love this LFS, the quality and care really shows. Every time I go there; I tell myself not to go in the fish room. Low and behold I walk out with new fish. Thanks for the reminder of “customer appreciation day”, Fired Up!!!
Wonderful video! :) Keep em coming!
That is a great looking store! I would never be able to leave there empty handed, that's for sure.
Great video! That LFS has a lot of beautiful fish! This makes me want to visit my LFS. Lol. Thanks for sharing.
Great Vid. Appreciate the time you put into these videos for us to watch 👍

Cool video. Also, I've never seen those rainbows before
Another quality one always a joy to start my Sunday with your videos✌
Great video :) The little fish are So Pretty.
I also do not have a good LFS near me. Glad you have such a great one near you.
This is such a clean, nice looking store. I'm jealous.
pro tip: watch series at Flixzone. I've been using them for watching all kinds of movies during the lockdown.
@Alexander Branson Definitely, I've been using flixzone for months myself :)
don't worry about your impulse, Blue-Eyed Rainbows are a joy to keep and stay very small.
that store looks awesome as always
There pleco tanks are just awesome. I'm kinda glad I stayed out of the fish room now cause I could of seen myself going home with a few puffers. Oh and that cardnal tetra tank was just a sight. Kinda wanna do a tank like that one day. Hundreds of tiny fish :)

Charles Morris I agree. When the tanks new and mostly empty I’m a little fast and lose with that rule.
I'm not surprised you picked up the Australian Blue eyes. During the awesome walk through I was loving those.
I'd have to go with the lemon tetras and blue eye rainbows. Two of my favorite fish, it could look nice having them together, similar fin coloration with different eye colors.
Love that awesome store,I feel like I went shopping with you:)

'I want that, that and that...' 😂 I hear you - when I win the lottery I'm going to have a massive fish room built and then clean out my local store. 😇
Thanks for the trip!
Very nice video.
At 6:06, you may have forgotten the name of one of my favorites, the Birchardi. I'm guessin your not the biggest fan of cichlids though. I'm definitely not a fan of Mollies either 😉
Yeah too many fish to know them all. Not huge into cichlids it’s true.

No co2 in there yet. But it definitely helps.
Just watch the end of the video and I just heard you say no co2...guess I missed that part haha
Good day. Your videos are very interesting and helpful. We are about to get a Fluval Flex 15G and would like to know if we could match about 12 neons with a couple of little scalaire (ange)? Thanks in advance for your reply.

Was watching this and was like dude that’s my fish store I go to and was like yeah we are from the same place small world
I'm having kinda the same problem as you but with rams lol. I've got a tiny German male chasing a bigger female around and now her fins are right clenched! I've got him in the "time out box" as I don't have an extra tank available ATM.. Well she won't leave his side... Maybe I should get another female?
I can see why its your favorite lfs , very nice high quality fish!
Man, on May 19th I have my dad's birthday party in Chattanooga, and then that night i have a show in Asheville I have tickets to. Knoxville isn't going to make the list this year.
Love the blood parrot!
What's at 7:00. They look sweet!
Oh my gosh... that epic pleco photobomb!
Great looking store. How did you not buy every fish? Haha
Thank goodness there is a finite amount of space.
your biggest tank seems to be your most successful tank. congratulation! I really like those big fish. By the way, what type of light do you use on your 210 planted tank?
We're neighbors. I'm here in GA. I might try to come up to the store for the sale. Looks like an amazing lfs ya got there.
Yeah I have seen a few go from decent to crap it’s always sad.
Spec 16 or Flex 15? I’ve been leaning towards the Flex as a first planted tank.
Nice aquarium shop, here in the UK ours are closing down making it harder to get stock or having to travel further afield. Do you have the same problems in the US?
Well this is one of the last to have a big selection in 100 miles or so. But aside from the chains there is a big decline.
Last time i did a quick web search in the store I ended up with a figure 8 puffer (web search said freshwater is fine). I now have a brackish tank with algae problems as was originally set up as a freshwater tank. Proper research is important.
Heck yes. My rule is three sources. Even if you need to find a corner to read in for half an hour.
Hey Sean! Those are cherry barbs, not Rosy barbs lol
Whoops :)
Add some old filter media in the tank your having troubles with
Thanks I actually did do that. It’s just extremely well fertilized. It will be awhile before the new plants settle in to take it all in.
add some school of tiny schooling fish in the 210g
Really nice music!
Anyone know what the fish at 7:00 is?
Great channel enjoy the vids.
Blood parrots will tear your plants up and dig in your substrate! Keep an eye on him.
Ok thanks I will.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
All of the pea puffers please. They are just the cutest thing under 1inch!
Bumblebee gobies
Why don't u like Mollies!? I saw an amazing "Panda" Mollie in my local FS... I don't own a single Mollie but they are really sweet freshwater fish...
They are just less interesting to me.
Hope it’s ok I’ve said this much. Fun to share🤗
Rosey barb?
Bring all the fish home! Lol
Brother 🤠👍🏻👍🏻
Nice
your pleco will grow fast eating all that algae
Tanks boss
Like bringing a kid to a toy store, something is getting bought.
Lol you should see me in toy stores. :0
Don’t actually know it glow fish can breed, since there a Franken Fish I don’t think they can actually produce babies
I don’t know from personal experience but that’s from the people that make them’s web page.
Add CO2 , it makes a big difference to planted tanks
Don't think those were lamp eye tetras.....
stud....
Cherry barbs not rosy barbs!
Yeah I missed that one.
Zebra Danios should be kept by themselves as I have noticed and experienced just how deadly they can be. I will never own them again.
My blood parrot is a punk.
