Sean, we have been away from the hobby for a while..and just purchased this kit …we got the grey cabinet..glad to see and follow your experience with the shaker…
Cool setup. if we can even get them here in Canada, guessing they are going to be crazy expensive. Though when you consider it comes with the tank, stand, top and the canister filter it would be worth it. Thanks for taking the time with the canister setup. Super helpful. Something I've not used yet. Have never had a tank large enough to really need one. Over all impressive setup. look forward to seeing it scaped and setup edit: For those of you wondering, checked LFS, the 45g runs $1200, the 66g $1600 here in Canada. A lot, as are most of the fluval tanks, but when you consider the cost of stands, the canister etc, not that bad. Still. I'm going to have to sell an awful lot of babies to get one of those lol
Very cool setup, but I absolutely hate that fluval strainer. It's something fluval needs to modify the design to make it less sharp, smaller, or they need to make a pre filter for it.
You could easily put a bucket under those filter hose and then drain for a water change. Would also have no problems priming the filter as the pipes will automatically fill the filter.
Been waiting for this project to start Sean.. I’m a heavy user of Fluval myself, my tank is a 200gal custom so naturally it’s not Fluval made so other than that the heaters both titanium so not Fluval the wifi Thermostat not Fluval and my UV steriliser not as Fluval only make UVC clarifier. However the lights and filtration all Fluval made and it’s my pride and joy that helps relieve the stresses of working life, I’m writing this before you even start knowing the livestock of your other tanks and what you’ve kept in the past it’s going to be interesting what you choose…
Hi, I have the shaker 66 gallon and love it. I wish I could post pics here but I made two modifications to mine that I think could benefit you before you fill it. If you add inline CO2 you will need to add ball valves before the canister filter so you can service the ceramic diffuser. I went to Lowe’s and bought two ball valves and plumbed them in with flex tubing. This allows you to shut the water off and then clean out the inline diffuser. Also gives you a fail safe in case the fluval connection to the filter gives way and dumps water all over your house. Also of you take the back board of the decorative top and screw it in flat instead of vertically, it will allow you to take the decorative top on and off much easier without fighting the cords that you have to loop up and over the top otherwise. Let me know if you have any other questions and I’d be happy to send you pictures of my set up
I was considering that (or cutting a little notch) myself for the top. Honestly though I don’t feel like taking it apart right now. All that other stuff sounds cool to I’m going to look at that. I was looking to do an inline diffuser for that co2.
Love my shaker, my danios are breeding in it. Full of shrimp, plants, fish and snails. In Europe the 168l includes the 207, not the 307👍 The door/drawer is separate here too..
That's a cool kit. I was at the aquarium the other day. I love my fluval shy, i have it on my saltwater tank loving it. Is there any other fish stores around Knoxville? I been at the aquatic marine and love the place.
Dang it, I hope they make a “wider than taller” model soon…I dislike Diving in my living room. My current tank is the 32g flex…better yet a 60 breeder since I’m dreaming
That fake drawer pull bugs me, lol! It's like jeans with fake pockets...why??😂😂 Otherwise, it's a cool kit! A little narrow, but will definitely work for specific fish! Thanks for making this video!❤
On the Fluval website you can find a stores that carry their products. The mileage may vary on the price depending on availability but I’ve seen it online for 500 for the tank part on its own and around 900+ with the cabinets.

Why do we in the uk get the fluval 207 filter with this tank and seems you got the bigger 307 . Think il.ask fluval about this .there a lovly tank though
Hate the dimensions of this tank, the 66 gal version is much better. For the price, there are several issues. The heater is subpar, should have a thermostat and a temp probe, or better yet an inline external heater. The lighting included should have the fluval plant and the canister filter should have been at least an FX2. Lastly, include a Fluval Sea CP4. Only then would this be worth the $1500-1800 price tag (for the 66g with shipping).

Really neat Tank!!!! By the way, awesome tanks in the background.
Thanks! The 210 was a little cloudy I had just cleaned it.
The predrilled bottom is interesting. Nice kit!
The Romas, Sienas and Shakers all have this. Amazing tanks 👍
Nice tank. Looks like I'm going to be buying another Fluval. Looking forward to more on this one.
Very cool set up I would love to get one of these.
that tank is pretty cool, i love the box style
Can't wait for part 2 and 3!!!
Excited to see what you do with this one

Greetings from Greece. Looks great, enjoy it my friend. :)
That is a great looking setup.
Interesting kit. Excited for what you do next
You and me both!

I’m looking at options. I have baby fish going in there so I’ll have to mod it a bit.
Why are you reviewing an aquarium setup I can not find it a where to buy?
@@danielperkins6212you can buy it online or find a dealer that sells them on Fluvals webpage.
Eheim prefilter with FX rubber hose adapter to bridge the size gap works wonders for the Shaker 👍
Good Afternoon from Birmingham uk
Great tank !
Those flex 32.5 tanks seem to be out of stock all over, I wonder if something new is coming out?
*Real interesting - can you discuss how this system could accommodate an auto feeder, when you get a chance!*
Sure!
That's a nice looking kit.
Thanks!

I got some more of these endangered goodidids from a club member they will go in when I get it all set up.

in Knoxville that's the main 2 currently.
In the UK the 168 comes with a 207 canister
Yea I'm gonna email fluval and ask this question
I heard that interesting.
I was wondering why that is , and whether it’s worth changing it to a 307
Tall tank like that would be cool to do a background of eleocharis montevidensis
“MEGA” is back! 😂
Sweet 👍
Thanks!
Hi there, how thickness is the glass? ty
That's actually a cool way to run a canister filter....no priming needed at all .
I know right! I was excited to see this one.
when it comes to the filter, try from Europe, specifically from Poland, the Aquael filter from the ultramax series, this fluwal is hiding 😁😁😁
They make great stuff.
Dang it, I hope they make a “wider than taller” model soon…I dislike Diving in my living room. My current tank is the 32g flex…better yet a 60 breeder since I’m dreaming
That’s fair. I like a 40 for sure.
fokus in kattana 👍
You had a 107 and 207
Yeah I totally flaked on the 107 for some reason.
That fake drawer pull bugs me, lol! It's like jeans with fake pockets...why??😂😂 Otherwise, it's a cool kit! A little narrow, but will definitely work for specific fish! Thanks for making this video!❤
lol 😂 I understand forced symmetry.
The two Shaker setups are on Fluval's website, but I never see them for sale anywhere. No prices listed either. How much is the 44?

@@pecktecwhere have you seen just the tank??? I broke mine (water tested on bulkheads - I’m an idiot) and Fluval said I would have to replace it all
What's the total price on this aquarium set?And where can you get it at?

Yeah, I’m not sure about that. First I heard about it was comments on this video.
Do they make this in a long!! Not a fan of the taller tank!!
They have a 60 gallon.
Leave it to Fluval to make a whole custom light and canister for a kit.
Just a little different plastic parts for products the already had. I’m hooting I can get the Fluval sky to fit in the exstra space.
@@pecktec yeah, that’s not too bad. Really cool predrilled tank though. How is the light? Is it a Aquasky or a Plant?
Whats.dimension.of.tank
We're do you get that t-shirt your wearing? Thanks
I got this at an Aquashella convention.
That cabinet makes me nervous as hell.
It’s not bad but no final judgement from me till it has a load on it.
not a fan of the intake for filtration
I’m going to have to make some adjustments because baby fish are going in there so you’ll probably see a mod on that.

its a about $800 - $900 if you find a local retailer where you are.
I have the aetup but it came with a 207. Complete setup is great for me.
@@pecktec I'll have to check into it because that price would obviously make it more worth it.
howdy?-amazing -goodbye~Pecktec.
