  • This video shows a step by step on how to activate the auto window close function using the rain sensor on a 2009 VW Mk6 golf.
This coding may also work on VW/Audi cars between 2009 and 2013.
You should always take note of the coding and any boxes you check or uncheck as it may cause a system to stop working.

Hmmmm. Only works for me on the front windows, 2012 Mk6 Golf. The back windows stay down 🤔
Ah right, got it sorted. Had to cycle the back windows through a full down and up cycle with the driver's door button (although it would have probably been ok with any of the rear window buttons), and then it worked fine. One odd thing though - after the coding and before figuring this out, the back windows would stop if I released the buttons, whereas before they would continue up or down when the button was released. This is now back to normal after the cycling.
Oh and thanks for the video! ☺️👍 Very useful feature to have here in N Ireland where it rains a lot!

    Hi James.
I'm from Brazil.. I hope you are safe and well.
James, for me it worked perfectly. But a question: do you know the code to perform this same action, however, with the vehicle unlocked?

Hello, glad it worked for you.
Unfortunately I don't know how to perform that action, but I'll have a look and see what I can find and if I find something I will get back to you.

After doing this, can I disable it in the mfd and save this configuration? when I uncheck in mfd, turn off the car, the next time I turn on this option come back checked.

As in the OBD port? Its usually down by the drivers side footwell, purple coloured plug.
