      Yes, although it has been raining today I had an hour training and did some of the exercises. The best to my opinion is the one keeping both feet on the ground which made me feel the pushes (outside/inside) best after a while. Really good. Will do it the next times more often as well as I am going to try the rolling on one foot. But this will take a little bit. So, thanks again for the helpful instructions and pretty good video sequences.

    Viktor, what's more effective and efficient
    1) training legs in gym for better and powerful push
    Or
    2) training on skates for powerful push
    Please do reply I m really confused

  • @MezBlade
    @MezBlade หลายเดือนก่อน

    About pushing straight to the side... I see that you push in a rather open angle before straightening the skate right at the end, ending with both skates pointing forwards. I've seen other top skaters do this during the push. Is my observation correct? I can't remember anybody mentioning this detail, if my observation is correct that is.

    So this is double push, right? Could you please do a video specific on this topic, if you haven't already?

    Thanks for very nice video! Have a question about nr 1 and 2. When you do these two exercises then you keep your weight on the inner leg? But when doing "real" skating you would try to have most of your weight on the pushing leg?

    • @thorupviktor
      @thorupviktor  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, generally one should always have the weight and pressure on the skate underneath oneself. As these drills are more about position and movement patterns, we break that rule :p

    Hi, I can I lace my speed skates better in order to avoid foot pain?. Thanks

    • @thorupviktor
      @thorupviktor  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is multiple ways to avoid that issue. In most cases it's a matter of finding the right boots. I recommend Luigino boots as they automatically adapt to the shape of your feet, giving a somewhat custom boot feel. www.topskate.dk/produkt/luigino-bolt/
      If your boots are heat mouldable, give that a shot ;)

    Why your hand moments going like ice skating hand moments its wrong your hand should be inside

    • @thorupviktor
      @thorupviktor  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The armswing is generally identical to the way you'd be using your arms on ice :)

      The difference between two indifferent armswings will logically not carry an impact on one’s speed...
