How to Add Games to the Pandora Games 3D, 3D+, Ex2 and MORE - Pandory Tool 2021 Guide

- Install roms to your Pandora Saga / EX / 18S Pro / Pandora Games 3D+ games list with Pandorytool. The process has actually never been simpler.
Add PSP, Dreamcast, 32X, MAME, FBA, Megadrive, Genesis, Super Nintendo, N64, NES, Wonderswan, Gameboy Advance, and more.
Pandory Jailbreak is NOT needed for users to do this.
Make sure your USB stick has been formatted for exfat / 32kb, and you have enough space on your system to install to.

@EmuChicken quick question, is there a paid version that automatically updates your PB? My 3D 4018 version appears to have an Sqlite database the maps game roms to names and locale so it seems like it would be doable...

Yes, the USB stick that you make with Pandory works as an installer- and this installs the game to your internal microsd.

Hello, nice vid... i just purchased a Pandora E-Sports Box (arcade, n64, dc, psp etc). Checked for King of Dragons and Outrun and even if the roms are listed among the "default" roms folder, those games dont show up in the 2d main list, so i followed the instructions and added the roms in the user folder and compiled the text file. Now both games kod and outrun (sitdown/upright, rev B) are playable but outrun has the gear shift bug. Do you think i could fix it in some way using pandory? (cant add games with usb stick on this Pandora E-sports box). (BTW i wanted to buy you some coffees, dont you have a paypal payment method? only cc?)
It totally worked on my 3d+ and my fake pardora that I just bought to use as controllers! Omg! Now I definitely wanna get the unlimited and buy a few coffees for the devs!

Hi, is there a way to lower the difficulty level on Pandora Box DX? Example: I played KOF 94 and saw that it is very difficult. I tried adjusting it through the system menu, but it didn't work. I also noticed that the sound of the Golden Axe game is having problems.
You can lower by using the soft dips. Use pandory on it , check our last 1.11 pandory dx video.
Need help!!!! I did everything correctly and the MAME ROMS loaded on my pandora but every time I go to play them they go black and I get returned to the game selection page. 🤦🏻♂️ Please help.

No, unfortunately that board is not compatible with any version of pandory.
I'm confused, does the micro SD need to be removed from the Pandora in order to do the fixes? Does it fix the 2 player on Gauntlet?
You only need to remove the MicroSD on the PG3D to fix the PSP games. To sort out Gauntlet, you'd probably need to 1. remove the current gauntlet 2. re-add the gauntlet game using Pandory - try MAME 0.139 first, if that doesn't give you 2+ players- try a mame 0.106 rom in the mame19 folder
Anyone can help me on connecting PS3 or 4 controllers? The system recognises both, the PS4 controller doesn't work at all, the ps3 one works only the direction buttons.I am using Pandora 18s pro 3d, firmware version gb3000v5

Trying to find a fix for my son that just bought an EX. Tried to add games and now nothing will load. Is Pandory necessary or is it just about automating the xml file creation? Any reason why his backup doesn't work? Nothing loads up with a full card full of games
There are essentially two parts to our software for the pg3d / ex systems. 1. Adding games... Yes. It pulls information for each game, creates a video snapshot file, and also the xml for each game you add. The games menu can only handle around 8000 before it starts to slow down and then 10000 and up it starts getting unstable. Unsure if that has anything to do with your problem, but if you're having issues you should come down to the discord 2. Pandory jailbreak. Use this for 4.3 aspect ratio and many other possibilities. Better checking up on the release videos to see what we've done with that.

Wow this worked pretty well. The install script along with the screens are a nice touch and definitely big step over doing external game management. I am trying to juice up this Pandora with atomiswave ports to Dreamcast but can't seem to find CDI versions. Any leads are appreciated!!!
For them you'd need to manually create the xml, but it's better if you actually jailbreak and use either flycast or retroarch for these titles. The stock emulator is buggy and getting on a bit.

When I have re-installed Tekken 5 and 6 in PG3D+ over wifi, it has lost multiplayer capability. Kindly help in getting it to play multiplayer. Thanks in advance

would I be able to do this on the pandora gam box 12? I has 50 pre loaded 3d games so I'm assuming the motherboard should be able to support but I am not sure
Depends on the underlying system that it runs. Pandora box 12 has maybe 5 different versions, and maybe only one of them has support with pandorytool to add games. This is why we never even speak of the 12.
Come to the discord and show us a photo of the board and the games list and we can guide further.

Yeah, this method should work. You may have issues with PSP games when adding to this system, however.

My pandora 3D Saga EX stopped listing the games, even though the card was not damaged, does this procedure work to restore the games, or is it a hardware error?
The card could have been a fake spaced card, just become corrupted- or you may have accidentally hidden all the games in the games menu (check options for that) - Might be worth grabbing a sandisk and restoring (if you have a backup - some may be available online), but you should be able to add games with this procedure
has the memory be 32gb max? i follow the instructions step by step using a 62gb memory and even got as u-disk detected but nothing appears on the pandora,fortunately i save a copy and kept the original card intact but theres no space to download the 4 games i want,please help!
problem solved! it was just the small detail to "eject the usb" everything runs great,but even the dreamcast has now state save option,it wont save

Unfortunately, I don't think that's possible with the 4- The Pandory Tool can install games to the 18S, however - Check the readme for all that it can add to your system.

@@spottyjack614 Uh.. Yeah... But no. Out of the box, the 18S will only allow you to add games (N64, PSP, ... and a few others) - without preview video. We develop Pandory Tool to fix bugs and break through the limits that the developers put on us, allowing us to install games as far as our hardware allows us to.

Hi there, great tutorial, it worked perfectly but the Save/Load State only works for the pre-installed games and not the ones I've added. Is there a fix for this please?
The save/load function only works with the emulators that have that functionality. It has nothing to do with games you've added vs pre-installed games.
@@TeamPandory One of the games in question is the original Gauntlet which is a Mame 0.139 Rom. So the Save State option would not work with that? Thank you very much for your help.

Depends on the unit. Names are confusing for these devices when they shouldn't be. An easy way to check it it's compatible, is if it the games list has psp games or not.. Pandora boxes with an S on the end aren't recommended as the naming scheme makes zero sense and is a total mess.
Can somebody help me? I have a Pandora 3D, I downloaded all the games by following all the steps, they appear in the game list with their mp4 videos, but when I select the games, some stay downloading and others the screen appears black.

Disculpa pero no .. tengo una pandora por mas de un año y mi problema es el mismo, la compre pensando en poder almacenar todas las romsets que tengo de mame y poder jugarlas en un mismo lugar y meter o agregar juegos es un dolor de cabeza.. la tienda online es una pena para buscar juegos y no te marca las que ya tienes instaladas o no, o sea debes revisarlas una a una. En fin es solo una consola con las roms que estan y si quieres hecharle ganas rebuscando juegos vamos que es tu tiempo.... si la compran ya saben a respaldar la SD y meterla dentro de la caja en caso de que se estropee.. pero es lo que es.
Will this work with pandora box DX special?
Pandory Tool works on the DX, but adding games is a bit different. Check the video regarding pandorydx installation: th-cam.com/video/yOsBYnR4bzg/w-d-xo.html - Best way is to install onto the main pandora box dx microsd, copy and paste roms into the named folders, and then use a usb microsd reader and insert that same microsd into the pandora box dx's usb port.

How can i save game using the normal ps1 included on the pandora doesn't work :( and i never found a solution. I want to play tekken 3 and unlock all characters 😢
The included emulator on PG3D and EX2 / 18S systems just didn't work re: saves. Only way to get it working on those was to install retroarch or jailbreak, then use another emulator (side loading)

...? If you're on about the 10th, then you should check the pandora 10th review and comment there. But the 10th can open those games, provided you hadn't updated the firmware. They want to block them playing on CRT CGA

Hi, I have this version of pandora. If wanted to add some mame games (downloaded in zip files) I just need to drag them to the folder in zip format? The game is virtua striker 2 98 (not dreamcast version).

For MAME games, you need to place them in the correct folder for that particular romset (check the documentation). Sorry to say that the arcade versions of Virtua Striker will not run- most 3D MAME titles (tekken, virtua etc) will run like a slideshow if at all.

@@mariannamarenghi4425 ... Not very well. If you want games like these running you'd be better off checking out a mini-pc with at least a J4125 CPU. Pandora Box / Pi4 / Android boxes are considered as extremely low-powered budget devices.

Hi there, I tried to add some 2D games and couldn't get it done. I got the android screen after I put the USB flash drive in the system. The screen showed 2 total games (right amount) but I got failure for both. What is the solution to that? You mentioned in the video that you had the same file names already in, right? I don't think I have the same file names at all. Can you help me please?

I'd need a LOT more information, exact game names, filename of the games you're adding, what folder are they in.. did they get scraped successfully, did they prepare on your Usb stick correctly? - enough space free on your box, did you check for the same filename ?
@@TeamPandory I came to discord but don't know how to find you. Let me know. Now, about the info, I have 10gb space, I deleted 6000 games already. The games I tried to install are James Bond GB and Clock Tower SNES. I didn't use scrape at all because I have mac and can't seem to find the right program. Also, I followed the steps in the user's guide that came with the system, it don't mention anything about video and xml. Although I managed to make a xml that contains what it should according to a pdf I found online which is instruction on how to install games in the pandora. I also added a video I found online in the file with game rom and xml. I know it sounds confusing but the system recognised the 2 games but couldn't install. (Total 2, Failure 2.) One more matter is that I managed to play some PS1 and PSP games via USB flash driver but can't add them to the micro SD card. Any idea how to add them? Thank you.
Can you get Sega model 3 running on Pandora really want star wars trilogy and Jurassic park
No... The limit is around Naomi era, and even then you're either limited to an old emulator (key7, treasure ii), or needing to jailbreak and install various tools (retroarch on the pg3d)

@@TeamPandory ok...Well, the menu looks the same, but the name changes and the background: the name is: PANDORA GAMES 3D+ 40S, and the wallpaper is not an austronaut, it is some planets. The menu to choose from is the same, a rectangle that seems to move all the time. even the letters are the same.

So I followed these instructions but every time I go to install the games on my Pandora 9H, it just stops and boots back to the menu. Is there something wrong, or did I miss a step?
There are many things that it could be, best bet is to come to the discord to explain what you are trying to add in a bit more depth.
Could be 1, 9h not supporting that emulator 2, this 9h (clone / new version) not supporting pandory 3, you already have a game with that filename on the system 4, unreliable usb stick 5, full microsd etc....

Friend I have a Pandora Box 3D wifi 10800 games and I'm struggling to change the NeoGeo BIOS in FBA and MAME and activate the MAME cheats too because I would like the Uni-Bios 4.0 function of NeoGeo and also change to the AES console version. Hey there. To do that, you'd need to first encrypt the neogeo unibios file. To do so you'd have to import it with a game, so you could try with metal slug 2.
Delete the game Metal Slug 2, then get the install ready with pandory. Edit the .xml file that is generated, and add a line underneath the one that has mslug2.zip. Get it ready for fba042 (the fba2012 roms should work) and copy in the neogeo.zip that has unibios into the same folder.
You can then install this game with the new unibios rom. Once it's on the microsd, you can copy it across to the family/fba042 folder (I forget exactly) and it should work with all neogeo roms already installed on the system.
Help, they don't open the installed MAME and FBA games? Where do I place the bios file and what else am I missing?

Usb vertical? Usually the problem scraping rom is because you've not given in the correct username or password... Or it uses some weird symbols. ... Or screenscraper might be down ?

I want to install the Atari game called river raid, but does it support Atari games?
Not Atari 2600. You may be able to install one of the ports though. I think River Raid was included in the Activision Anthology on the PlayStation 1, and Wikipedia states it also had ports for the GBA and PSP.
OK I've followed all the tutorial an d I've found a gba file of th activision anthology. But when I connect the USB In the pandora, it doesn't inatall the game it only actualize the game list. What should I do?

If you don't know what romset your mame file is from, then you'll need to go and find out. Check the supported roms text file in the pandory/documents folder to find out which romsets are supported.
Can we play the games straight off the usb ?
There's two things you can do - 1. Follow the manual you got with the Pandora box and add games like that, but it's not fully equipped to use all of the emulators .. or 2. Make an external games list that is only on the usb stick. When this is in it'd take priority over the microsd. Read the documentation under "notty stick"

It's been added from 108b. If you need it grab it from the Free version on github and copy it across
