I believe it with all my heart, though many popular preachers say the USA is not in the scriptures. But I say we’re here at the end of this age and we’re a player-too late for us to not fulfill our destiny. This is so true, we have had a prayer group going for 20 years and always we have prayed for our nation and for Israel. For more than 3 years we prayed for Brexit, it was a longer battle than we thought, but the Lord won. What you have been saying has been on our heart for a long time. We are all appalled today that slavery ever took place, but it did and I admire the fact that its abolition started in Britain. I also admire the social reforms in favour of the common people, as opposed to the rulers, which took place in 19th century Britain. The Magna Carta was also a very important document. "Magna Carta, which means 'The Great Charter', is one of the most important documents in history as it established the principle that everyone is subject to the law, even the king, and guarantees the rights of individuals, the right to justice and the right to a fair trial." Vast tracts of land for cattle and crops that used to sustain the local people in the area has been bought up by huge corporations all over the world and the third world people are suffering. Jesus warned us repeatedly about the deception of the times we live in now, which are filled with every form of the false. Including the many false claims made, and the false thinking people have about themselves. Most well read believers know very little about Bible translations, yet all have opinions which they falsely mistake for truth. Do you know how many translations came out in the 20th century alone. No of course you don’t, because you don’t study these things. More than 100 translations came out in the twentieth century, and most of them are good. Yet only a few of these join the ranks of most accurate - Amplified Bible, NASB, NKJV and even the NIV to a certain degree, though it came from a different codex. The King James like most of the best translations has many errors in it, and if you don’t know what they are you need to go find out. Until then don’t talk about things you don’t know, and get your self up under some God ordained authority who does know. They are there to help you grow up in Christ, not to tell you how great you are. For those confused about God ordained teachers and their teaching, teaching is filled with repetition. It is how you learn most of what you know, and is not there to entertain you. One of the things Christ came to do that so many Christians and Jews miss, is that He came to unite all people in Himself. Before Jesus came, there were only two groups of people in the earth. Jews and gentiles, or nations. Which really means those inside the Covenant and those outside the Covenant. Gentile does not mean non-Jew, it means without God. If you are a Christian, you are no longer a gentile. You are not without God. You are in fact in a covenant which is better than the old one, and the Bible says so. Well the Jewish people did not come from outer space. They were part of the nations themselves before God called them and separated them to Himself. Btw, when we are talking about Israel, we are not talking about the modern day Israel. The Israel being mentioned in the bible are the tribes of Israel who have not returned yet to Israel. They were dispersed around the world and didn't return to Israel yet. The Israelites are the sons of Shem. They are Asians. The people inhabiting Israel now are the sons of Japheth. The Ashkenazi Jews, the dominant Jews in Israel, are prime example. By their name alone, we know that they came from Ashkenaz, one of the descendants of Japheth. They are not the sons of Shem. **IMPORTANT MESSAGE** As I fully agree with what Derek Walker has to say about Tarshish, the so-called "imminent invasion of Israel" is not imminent (that it could happen at anytime), as many pastors are taught to believe! Rather this invasion (Ezekiel's War) takes place in the time scripture teaches, in the end portion of the latter days (a 7-yr period) that lies on the latter times timeline, as per Ezekiel 38: 8, 16. Also, we need to understand the last days is not the end times. Rather the last days spans from Mark 1:15 and ends when the church becomes an apostate church that believes and teaches gospel another, which is not another, and deceives many by that gospel they believe and teach, thinking to be something they are not. The last days timeline was for to hear and receive the true gospel. Thus, when the church comes to the full (a mindset) to believe another gospel, then the latter times timeline begins, the end times. Scripture (KJV) proves the latter times timeline (end times) began on Sept. 29, 2008 Elul 29, which then seven years later the latter days begin, and spans from Sept. 13, 2015 Elul 29 - Sept. 25, 2022 Elul 29. The significance of Elul 29 is that this was the day ancient Israel forsook Him by teaching, which has occurred many times since Mankind sinned in the Garden, and has now occurred again with the church, after Pentecost. Given it's 2020, and considering the geopolitical condition of the world, and given what scripture teaches, we can expect this war to occur on or just before Sept. 25, 2022, followed by the last Shemitah of seven years that spans from Sept. 25, 2022 Elul 29 - Sept. 9, 2029 Elul 29, which will be used to cleanse the land (Ezek. 39: 8-16), which then the Millennial kingdom of Christ on earth is ruled by His righteousness, the Ten Commandments, the 3rd Age, after which He makes all things new. mcgeorgerl I looked up your reference to 2 Chronicles. It does not mention Tarshish in my bible, just Ezion ?. Derek pointed out that the term " Ships of Tarshish could also refer to a class of long distance vessels, that aren't nessesarily going to Tarshish itself. It doesn't change the Jonah reference where he goes to Joppa ( the Med. ( east)coast of Israel) so his ticket to Tarshish was clearly to somewhere west of Israel as far as was possible in those days.
Britain can't be the Tarshish that objects to the invasion of Israel, because Britain IS Israel - as are America and the Commonwealth countries. By the time that Tarshish is asking the invaders, "Have you come to plunder..?", what's left of Britain will be back in Israel. So Tarshish has to be a third party nation, who are neither the house of Israel or one of the invaders. Given Tarshish's descent from Japheth, it could be Japan.
As far as the 'young lions' part goes, 'lions' and 'tigers' are interchangeable here. The 'young lions/tigers' could be Japan and the other prosperous Asian nations: Taiwan, South Korea, the Phillipines, etc. It would be no more prophetic in Biblical times to say that Japan would be known as a tiger than it would to say Britain would be known as a lion.
Not sure where you live, but Britain is NOT Israel, indeed there are pro- Palestine protests in London every week. Our prime minister is from a left of centre roots, and is presently nominally standing for Israel but also trying to satisfy both his party and the growing Islamic representation in the uk, so his stance is quite ambivelant. Jews here are feeling quite vulnerable, so maybe there will be some move to Israel if it gets bad, but the vast,vast majority of Brits are NOT Jewish and those pouring in as asylum seekers in recent years are not generally Jewish. We did shelter some Jews during the 2nd world war when Hitler was trying to annialate them, but Jews are a tiny minority of the uk population. If a big chunk of the uk population ends up in Israel in the coming years, it will be more likely to be a hoard of those opposing a Jewish state.

Tarshish is near Ophir. The ships of Tarshish were usually used to carry items that were sourced from Ophir. Sheba, the Queen of the South, also used the ships of Tarshish when she went to Israel to meet King Solomon. Sheba also lived near Ophir. Now, where is Ophir? Ophir is in the east. It is a 3 years journey from Israel to Ophir and back. Actually, Tarshish is in a place now where Ophir and Sheba are also located. Tarshish, Ophir and Sheba are all in one country now which is in the east.
the main historical and biblical evidence points to Tarshish in the far west (e.g.Jonah). The confusion arises if you assume ships of tarshish always went to tarshish. In fact, the term 'ships of tarshish' became the word for all long distance ocean going ships. This is like the Britsh calling such ships: Indiamen, even though they did not all go to India.

That is not a good proof of where Tarshish is. Ophir is in the far east. They are not going to use ships of Tarshish which are based in the far west. It's too far. Tarshish should be very near Ophir so that Ophir can use the ships of Tarshish. Are you saying that Tarshish is already a multinational company at that time and they have a branch office in Ophir? The easier explanation is that Tarshish is near Ophir and that's why Ophir can use the ships of Tarshish. Tarshish is of Greek descent btw. If you insist that Tarshish is in the west, then it will be in Greece. But Tarshish is not in Greece either. It is in the east. There is a place in Ophir where the city's name is of Greek origin. Even the tallest mountain in that area is of Greek origin. That is the location of Tarshish.
The term “ships of Tarshish” in course of time came to stand for a type of ship, as one lexicon puts it: “large, sea-going vessels, fit to ply to Tarshish.” (Hebrew and English Lexicon of the Old Testament, by Brown, Driver, and Briggs) In a similar way, the name Indiamen originally was derived from the name applied to large British ships engaged in trade with India and in time came to apply to ships of that type no matter what their origin or destination. I dont know where you get your info about eziongeber - i suspect that is just supposition on your part. Jonah is good evidence because he aimed to go to tarshish itself and not just take 'a ship of tarshish.' It makes no sense to travel east from Joppa - there were certainly better ways to travel east. No ships would go from joppa, past gibraltar, all the way around africa to ophir. There certainly would have been ways of travelling and trading with the east via the Red Sea - to suggest otherwise is nonsense. therefore Jonah proves Tarasish is not in the east.

There was no more port in Eziongeber which was the port used to go to Ophir and Tarshish. It was destroyed. The bible was written by a very smart being. There are a lot of tricky verses that looked innocuous. Just take a look at Sheba (the Queen of the South). You will never guess where Sheba lived until you realize that Sheba is a relative of Ophir. Luckily, there is only one Ophir in the table of nations. The bible said that Sheba heard about King Solomon in her own land which is Ophir. So Sheba lived in Ophir. Ophir is in the east so those claims by Ethiopia and Yemen that Sheba is from their place is wrong and this belief continuous until today. Take for example the 4 rivers that run from Eden. The bible said that they separated from Eden. All the bible scholars assumed that the 4 rivers separated in 4 separate ways from Eden but that is not the case or that is not the only way to interpret it. It could mean that one river continue where the other ends. Its like a street sign that changes name when another intersection is met but that street is continuous. Also, there is no Tigris and Euphrates in the original Hebrew text. The Hebrew words used are Hiddekel and Perat. When finding the Garden of Eden, the whole world is at play and not just the Middle East. Those rivers cover continents and not just a few kilometers here and there. Those ancient rivers are called thermal vents in modern times. The purpose of Eden is to water the Garden of Eden. One clue is the depths of the ocean. Check out where the ocean is shallowest and where is the deepest. That is how the river flowed from Eden to the Garden of Eden.
Tarshish represents the great trading and economic power of God’s chosen people, not UK (UK people are not all chosen people, only the followers of Christ). In Isaiah 45:3 - God gave to His chosen people the “treasures of darkness”. These treasures are millions of tons of gold and precious stones, etc. hidden in secret places. If UK have all these treasures, then you are the chosen people. But the Bible said God’s chosen people were forsaken and desolate (Isaiah 62:4), afflicted and tossed with tempest (Isaiah 54:11). These describes a third world country with enormous hidden riches In secret places. Since UK is not a third world country and you dont have these hidden millions of tons of gold (UK and the rest of the world is In financial crisis today), then you are not Tarshish.
Pastor Walker, is this another metaphorical instance or say during the time of Hezekiah king of Judah and sennacherib, that the Lord was intentionally using the asyrians to quell isreal's enemies and then would deal directly with the invading armies?
How is GB Tarshish? According to 2 Chronicles 20:36-37 they made "ships to go to Tarshish" in Ezion Geber. This would require them to sail completely around Africa, a distance of some 10,000+ Nautical Miles. Sailing from the east coast of the Mediterranean (Around the Tyre Area) cuts that distance by 2/3rds.
Ezekial 38 is some way in the future - why - Ezekiel 38:11 ► And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, If u know anything about Israel u will know they r surrounded by walls and they r always afraid of invasion. Ezekial 38 speaks about something that is yet to come.
Berith Ish = Covenant people. Tarsh Ish = people of the sea. Once Spain and Britain were very close, but Spain forgot it's roots. Even today there is a city, Zaragoza, which means stronghold of Zara, son of Judah. It is on the Ebro River. The Ebro/Hebrew River cuts almost completely to the NW coast of Spain. On the coast is the town of Gijon/Gihon and Zarautz, or Zara of Israel.

Israel is not right with God, at present, but she does have an everlasting covenant with God through the patriarchs so although God has disciplined her, He is not finished with her. In Ezekiel 38, He calls her 'My people' and the land 'My land' because these covenants are still in force. He has regathered her to the Land 'for His sake' and will bring Israel to faith in Christ, and all Israel will be saved, for the gifts and callings of God are without repentance (Romans 11 is clear on this). When a christian sins and is out of fellowship he does not enjoy the blessings of fellowship with God, but he is still a child of God, in covenant with God. the same is true for israel.

Galatians 6 verse 16 "As for all those who walk orderly by this rule of conduct, peace and mercy be upon them, yes, upon the Israel of God". Notice mention of 'Israel of God" which is different from natural Israel. Gentiles would become part of the Israel of God along with a remnant made of loyal individuals from natural Israel. The new Covenant was made with individuals rather than a physical Nation. The nation in the middle East called Israel is not in any covenant relationship with God. It manifests the same characteristics as other nations.

The term israel in the bible always refers to the physical descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The only possible exception which you refer to, the term 'Israel of God' actually refers to the believing remnant of Israel. The church is something distinct from Israel - a new man, not the replacement of Israel.
if you read on in Matthew 23 you will see that despite Israel's sin and the consequences that Jesus described, He has not finished with her because He says: "you will not see Me again UNTIL YOU (leaders of Israel) say blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord." Thus He predicting a later generation of Israel will return to the Land and repent and call on the Christ to save her. This is why Jesus will return to Jerusalem at the 2nd Coming. Thus although she came under judgment and fell, it was not a final judgment but she will rise again because of her Divine election - Romans 11 is clear on this, where Israel clearly means natural Israel, not the saved Gentiles. The new covenant in Jeremiah 31:31-34 is first for Israel if you read it, and God means what He says, although we also get in on it though our union with Christ, the Seed of Abraham. You are speaking like someone adopted into a family who wants to dishonour, replace and kick out the natural son. Yes, God did something new with the church, but it does not follow He has done away with Israel. Your interpretation of Galatians 6:16 is based on a bad translation, by translators who think like you. I would suggest, however, that this invasion will take place just after, rather than just before, the commencement of the Tribulation seven-year period. I say this because Israel is said to be secure when it takes place, and this is certainly not the case today. Israel is under continuous daily attack from shells being fired by Hezbollah and Hamas, and by Palestinian assasins/ zealots in Israel itself. However, when the Beast signs a seven year treaty between Israel and the surrounding nations, Israel will then enjoy security (though a false and temporary one). Indeed , it may be the signing of this treaty which triggers the invasion by an angry Iran and dissatisfied muslim nations, led by an opportunist Russia, using the excuses you have suggested to gain support from the evil U.N. The invasion will be brief and will end very quickly, leaving the seven years period of time to burn the weapons (as fuel probably). There is one flaw as far as i see with a pre trib rapture, is this. In 25:20 - 26:00 you stated that Gog isn’t the one prophesied about of old times... - I am of the opinion that he is and i will try to prove it. I believe that Gog will be successful in his invasion of Israel because of Ez 39:22-24, he has to have taken captives and has to be successful but up to a point. Messiah + his army will then come and destroy him and company. (Zec 14) This battle could be exactly the one in Zec 14 since there is a captivity and the intervention of Messiah. Also the earthquake of Ez 38:19-20 can be that of Zec 14:4. Also the plague of Ez 38:22 can be Zec 14:12. Daniel 11:36-45 can also refer to Gog’s invasion. Gog will have to subdue/ paralyze Israel’s allies in order for him to take control of Israel temporarily (vs 40-41) Vs 43 can be compared with Ez 38:5 since both Ethiopia and Libya will join Gog. Vs 44 - something will cause Gog to be upset to go straight for Israel. i believe that Gog-Magog cannot be armageddon at the end of the Tribulation (Zech 14) or the Mid-Trib war (Daniel 11) because of the 7 years of Ezekiel 39:9 that run after the war- which tell us it takes place at least 7 years before the 2nd Coming. Whilst there might be some correspondences between these 3 wars there are also many differences.
UK is not Tarshish. Why? If you examine Isaiah 60:9 it says “surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish, first to bring thy sons from far”... Tarshish means a wealthy nation, an economic powerhouse (perhaps the one that will end this global financial problems today - global financial reset and etc.) and “ships” means the course of events. While the “sons from far” are those overseas foreign workers or migrants. These means that Tarshish is an archipelago country that will soon rise (Isaiah 60:1) and become powerful and rich (Isaiah 45:3), that in the course of event, it is able to send back home all its overseas foreign workers and migrants to help them and support them locally - financially. I dont think UK will support its foreign workers abroad and capable the way it is revealed by the passage. But I say we’re here at the end of this age and we’re a player-too late for us to not fulfill our destiny. This is so true, we have had a prayer group going for 20 years and always we have prayed for our nation and for Israel. For more than 3 years we prayed for Brexit, it was a longer battle than we thought, but the Lord won. What you have been saying has been on our heart for a long time. If you will allow me, let me address a few general misunderstandings in the comments.
Jesus warned us repeatedly about the deception of the times we live in now, which are filled with every form of the false. Including the many false claims made, and the false thinking people have about themselves. Most well read believers know very little about Bible translations, yet all have opinions which they falsely mistake for truth.
Do you know how many translations came out in the 20th century alone. No of course you don’t, because you don’t study these things. More than 100 translations came out in the twentieth century, and most of them are good. Yet only a few of these join the ranks of most accurate - Amplified Bible, NASB, NKJV and even the NIV to a certain degree, though it came from a different codex.
The King James like most of the best translations has many errors in it, and if you don’t know what they are you need to go find out. Until then don’t talk about things you don’t know, and get your self up under some God ordained authority who does know. They are there to help you grow up in Christ, not to tell you how great you are. For those confused about God ordained teachers and their teaching, teaching is filled with repetition. It is how you learn most of what you know, and is not there to entertain you.
One of the things Christ came to do that so many Christians and Jews miss, is that He came to unite all people in Himself. Before Jesus came, there were only two groups of people in the earth. Jews and gentiles, or nations. Which really means those inside the Covenant and those outside the Covenant.
Gentile does not mean non-Jew, it means without God. If you are a Christian, you are no longer a gentile. You are not without God. You are in fact in a covenant which is better than the old one, and the Bible says so. There is no such thing as a gentile Christian, the words contradict each other. There are three groups and they are named in the Bible; Jews, gentiles and the church.
Well the Jewish people did not come from outer space. They were part of the nations themselves before God called them and separated them to Himself. To fulfill this deal with Abraham, who is the father of all who believe because he was the first one to believe. Again that is Bible. Not to believe in Abraham, that is nowhere in Scripture. But believe in what God did through Abraham, which was to Bless all nations through his Seed.
The apostle Paul explains how the word Seed was referring to One Man, not a group or ethnos of people. That one man was and is the Man Jesus Christ. The way into God’s Kingdom is open to anybody and everybody, but it is His way and His Kingdom. He is God. That comes with the territory.

**IMPORTANT MESSAGE**
As I fully agree with what Derek Walker has to say about Tarshish, the so-called "imminent invasion of Israel" is not imminent (that it could happen at anytime), as many pastors are taught to believe! Rather this invasion (Ezekiel's War) takes place in the time scripture teaches, in the end portion of the latter days (a 7-yr period) that lies on the latter times timeline, as per Ezekiel 38: 8, 16. Also, we need to understand the last days is not the end times. Rather the last days spans from Mark 1:15 and ends when the church becomes an apostate church that believes and teaches gospel another, which is not another, and deceives many by that gospel they believe and teach, thinking to be something they are not. The last days timeline was for to hear and receive the true gospel. Thus, when the church comes to the full (a mindset) to believe another gospel, then the latter times timeline begins, the end times. Scripture (KJV) proves the latter times timeline (end times) began on Sept. 29, 2008 Elul 29, which then seven years later the latter days begin, and spans from Sept. 13, 2015 Elul 29 - Sept. 25, 2022 Elul 29.
The significance of Elul 29 is that this was the day ancient Israel forsook Him by teaching, which has occurred many times since Mankind sinned in the Garden, and has now occurred again with the church, after Pentecost. Given it's 2020, and considering the geopolitical condition of the world, and given what scripture teaches, we can expect this war to occur on or just before Sept. 25, 2022, followed by the last Shemitah of seven years that spans from Sept. 25, 2022 Elul 29 - Sept. 9, 2029 Elul 29, which will be used to cleanse the land (Ezek. 39: 8-16), which then the Millennial kingdom of Christ on earth is ruled by His righteousness, the Ten Commandments, the 3rd Age, after which He makes all things new.
Please know and understand what the true gospel is; to be a doer of it; to make your calling and election sure. And let no man deceive you by persuading you to believe that gospel most of Christendom believes and teaches. Also understand, though Jesus' blood covers and cleanses us from all sin, it does not represent His holiness for us while we continue to sin (the breaking of His Law, the Ten Commandments). Rather His blood presents us holy, implying that there is a labor we must do to enter into His rest: maintain and preserve ourselves holy, for He is holy, which we do after we confess and repent of our sins, which He expects all of us that names His name to do because of His testimony (life, death, burial, resurrection, and ascension), which we do by the power of the Holy Spirit, Whom we receive when we confess and repent of our sins with godly sorrow, which is the key of David. I looked up your reference to 2 Chronicles. It does not mention Tarshish in my bible, just Ezion ?. Derek pointed out that the term " Ships of Tarshish could also refer to a class of long distance vessels, that aren't nessesarily going to Tarshish itself. It doesn't change the Jonah reference where he goes to Joppa ( the Med. ( east)coast of Israel) so his ticket to Tarshish was clearly to somewhere west of Israel as far as was possible in those days.

Britain can't be the Tarshish that objects to the invasion of Israel, because Britain IS Israel - as are America and the Commonwealth countries. By the time that Tarshish is asking the invaders, "Have you come to plunder..?", what's left of Britain will be back in Israel. So Tarshish has to be a third party nation, who are neither the house of Israel or one of the invaders. Given Tarshish's descent from Japheth, it could be Japan.
As far as the 'young lions' part goes, 'lions' and 'tigers' are interchangeable here. The 'young lions/tigers' could be Japan and the other prosperous Asian nations: Taiwan, South Korea, the Phillipines, etc. It would be no more prophetic in Biblical times to say that Japan would be known as a tiger than it would to say Britain would be known as a lion.
Not sure where you live, but Britain is NOT Israel, indeed there are pro- Palestine protests in London every week. Our prime minister is from a left of centre roots, and is presently nominally standing for Israel but also trying to satisfy both his party and the growing Islamic representation in the uk, so his stance is quite ambivelant. Jews here are feeling quite vulnerable, so maybe there will be some move to Israel if it gets bad, but the vast,vast majority of Brits are NOT Jewish and those pouring in as asylum seekers in recent years are not generally Jewish. We did shelter some Jews during the 2nd world war when Hitler was trying to annialate them, but Jews are a tiny minority of the uk population.
If a big chunk of the uk population ends up in Israel in the coming years, it will be more likely to be a hoard of those opposing a Jewish state.

Tarshish is near Ophir. The ships of Tarshish were usually used to carry items that were sourced from Ophir. Sheba, the Queen of the South, also used the ships of Tarshish when she went to Israel to meet King Solomon. Sheba also lived near Ophir. Now, where is Ophir? Ophir is in the east. It is a 3 years journey from Israel to Ophir and back. Actually, Tarshish is in a place now where Ophir and Sheba are also located. Tarshish, Ophir and Sheba are all in one country now which is in the east.
the main historical and biblical evidence points to Tarshish in the far west (e.g.Jonah). The confusion arises if you assume ships of tarshish always went to tarshish. In fact, the term 'ships of tarshish' became the word for all long distance ocean going ships. This is like the Britsh calling such ships: Indiamen, even though they did not all go to India.

Ophir is in the far east. They are not going to use ships of Tarshish which are based in the far west. It's too far. Tarshish should be very near Ophir so that Ophir can use the ships of Tarshish. Are you saying that Tarshish is already a multinational company at that time and they have a branch office in Ophir? The easier explanation is that Tarshish is near Ophir and that's why Ophir can use the ships of Tarshish.
Tarshish is of Greek descent btw. If you insist that Tarshish is in the west, then it will be in Greece. But Tarshish is not in Greece either. It is in the east. There is a place in Ophir where the city's name is of Greek origin. Even the tallest mountain in that area is of Greek origin. That is the location of Tarshish.
The term “ships of Tarshish” in course of time came to stand for a type of ship, as one lexicon puts it: “large, sea-going vessels, fit to ply to Tarshish.” (Hebrew and English Lexicon of the Old Testament, by Brown, Driver, and Briggs) In a similar way, the name Indiamen originally was derived from the name applied to large British ships engaged in trade with India and in time came to apply to ships of that type no matter what their origin or destination. I dont know where you get your info about eziongeber - i suspect that is just supposition on your part. Jonah is good evidence because he aimed to go to tarshish itself and not just take 'a ship of tarshish.' It makes no sense to travel east from Joppa - there were certainly better ways to travel east. No ships would go from joppa, past gibraltar, all the way around africa to ophir. There certainly would have been ways of travelling and trading with the east via the Red Sea - to suggest otherwise is nonsense. therefore Jonah proves Tarasish is not in the east.

There was no more port in Eziongeber which was the port used to go to Ophir and Tarshish. It was destroyed. The bible was written by a very smart being. There are a lot of tricky verses that looked innocuous. Just take a look at Sheba (the Queen of the South). You will never guess where Sheba lived until you realize that Sheba is a relative of Ophir. Luckily, there is only one Ophir in the table of nations. The bible said that Sheba heard about King Solomon in her own land which is Ophir. So Sheba lived in Ophir. Ophir is in the east so those claims by Ethiopia and Yemen that Sheba is from their place is wrong and this belief continuous until today.
Take for example the 4 rivers that run from Eden. The bible said that they separated from Eden. All the bible scholars assumed that the 4 rivers separated in 4 separate ways from Eden but that is not the case or that is not the only way to interpret it. It could mean that one river continue where the other ends. Its like a street sign that changes name when another intersection is met but that street is continuous. Also, there is no Tigris and Euphrates in the original Hebrew text. The Hebrew words used are Hiddekel and Perat. When finding the Garden of Eden, the whole world is at play and not just the Middle East. Those rivers cover continents and not just a few kilometers here and there. Those ancient rivers are called thermal vents in modern times. The purpose of Eden is to water the Garden of Eden. One clue is the depths of the ocean. Check out where the ocean is shallowest and where is the deepest. That is how the river flowed from Eden to the Garden of Eden.

If UK have all these treasures, then you are the chosen people. But the Bible said God’s chosen people were forsaken and desolate (Isaiah 62:4), afflicted and tossed with tempest (Isaiah 54:11). Israel is not right with God, at present, but she does have an everlasting covenant with God through the patriarchs so although God has disciplined her, He is not finished with her. In Ezekiel 38, He calls her 'My people' and the land 'My land' because these covenants are still in force. He has regathered her to the Land 'for His sake' and will bring Israel to faith in Christ, and all Israel will be saved, for the gifts and callings of God are without repentance (Romans 11 is clear on this). When a christian sins and is out of fellowship he does not enjoy the blessings of fellowship with God, but he is still a child of God, in covenant with God. the same is true for israel.

I would suggest, however, that this invasion will take place just after, rather than just before, the commencement of the Tribulation seven-year period. I say this because Israel is said to be secure when it takes place, and this is certainly not the case today. There is one flaw as far as i see with a pre trib rapture, is this. Unless it comes in the middle of complete chaos where evey one is so desperate just to stay alive and survive that they dont even notice people around them suddenly disapearing. I believe that Gog will be successful in his invasion of Israel because of Ez 39:22-24, he has to have taken captives and has to be successful but up to a point.
Messiah + his army will then come and destroy him and company. (Zec 14)
This battle could be exactly the one in Zec 14 since there is a captivity and the intervention of Messiah. Also the earthquake of Ez 38:19-20 can be that of Zec 14:4.
Also the plague of Ez 38:22 can be Zec 14:12.
Daniel 11:36-45 can also refer to Gog’s invasion. Gog will have to subdue/ paralyze Israel’s allies in order for him to take control of Israel temporarily (vs 40-41)
Vs 43 can be compared with Ez 38:5 since both Ethiopia and Libya will join Gog.

The Assyrian can refer to Gog. Micah 5:1-9 ties the latter day invader to the Assyrian]
There are many others references that refer to this particular event. Time of Jacob’s trouble or the restoration of Israel passages can be used as a key to locate them.
So the Old Testament is riddled with references to Gog and I would say that the old servants of God did prophecy about him.

i believe that Gog-Magog cannot be armageddon at the end of the Tribulation (Zech 14) or the Mid-Trib war (Daniel 11) because of the 7 years of Ezekiel 39:9 that run after the war- which tell us it takes place at least 7 years before the 2nd Coming. Whilst there might be some correspondences between these 3 wars there are also many differences.

UK is not Tarshish. Why? If you examine Isaiah 60:9 it says “surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish, first to bring thy sons from far”... Tarshish means a wealthy nation, an economic powerhouse (perhaps the one that will end this global financial problems today - global financial reset and etc.) and “ships” means the course of events. While the “sons from far” are those overseas foreign workers or migrants. These means that Tarshish is an archipelago country that will soon rise (Isaiah 60:1) and become powerful and rich (Isaiah 45:3), that in the course of event, it is able to send back home all its overseas foreign workers and migrants to help them and support them locally - financially. I dont think UK will support its foreign workers abroad and capable the way it is revealed by the passage. The Queen of England’s rumored abdication is a sign that she is giving way, that Tarshish will soon rise to power with the Queen of the South (Matthew 12:42).

Are you sure UK is helping God by resisting the invasion of Israel In Ezekiel 38? You should know that God have purposed it In Amos 2:4-6, Jeremiah 15:6-7. Consider; when God was the protector of natural Israel he fought wars to defend her. The nation Israel of Israel did not need to immerse herself in Militarism and aqcuire advanced weapons as though her survival depended on her strength of arms for overcoming her enemies by sheer military superiority. Instead they only needed faith and obedience in God. It is evident that God is no longer fighting wars for natural Israel.
