Dainese Aldo.
If I recall, none of them could read sheet music back then (well, except for maybe Rick Wright). They invented their own notation to explain what they wanted to do.
Genius from the beginning! They were so young and the talent was already apparent. I wonder if they sensed what they had in store. I'm a devout fan and I've never heard this song. Thanks for sharing! ❤
Taryn Taylor I'm sure Roger sensed what they had in store! He has ambition and direction to the nth degree. I prefer Pink Floyd's later work but recall seeing 'Picnic' by the record player at school, at a time when I would have been listening to more commercial bands like Yes, Rolling Stones,
There's another fantastic live recording of Embryo that was made at the studios of WNEW in NYC around the same time. It used to be on TH-cam, may still be. Just audio, but it's superb, sharp as a knife, and a little cleaner audio than here, if memory serves. Look for it.
Jerseydad Rock I totally agree with you. Sometimes I reach my loved whole Floyd vinyle collection, deeply thinking about which LP I wish to listen and finally I remain all alone with them, disconnected by the rest of the world for a saucerfull of ... minutes! Bye
"" Saint Tropez 1970"" Lyrics- All this love Is all I am, A ball is all I am. I'm so new Compared to you And I am very small. Warm glow, Moon glow, Always need a little more room. Warm glow, Moon glow, Always need a little more room. Whisper low Here I go, I will see the sunshine show.

It was from Libest in a spaement monitor cassette but not sure about the title. hope to find it somewhere on the web. Thanks again.

You keep arguing about who's better, Waters or Gilmour, and I say: Rick Wright was always the most complete and essential musician in this band, in any formation! RIP ❤
Come2Munich It was released on an multi artist album and on the compilation Works. The difference is that this version is shorter and the play acoustic guitars.
Waters bass playing is great on this song. Relatively unknown song even among a lot of Pink Floyd fans. Strange that it never made it onto an actual album release.

Our beloved guys are seriously good here!👍❤️ This is an amazing piece, it contains lots of musical ideas that were developed into other songs at some point of their musical career. I guess the song wasn't included in their original studio albums, because it has too many similar passages to other epic pieces such as Echoes. It even has some elements of the songs "Time" and "Money" (from the Dark Side album), as musical quotations. Still, it is a very nice piece as it is, a bit like a jam session sometimes. It has a very nice atmosphere.
Back in the day, I knew Pompeii existed, and I wanted to see it in a major way. But, I had to wait until the 90s, or maybe even the 2000s before I finally seen it. Now I own it, but wind up watching it on TH-cam sometimes.

They all had there brilliance, and they all brought it. Yes some were more pronounced in certain songs and others for more pronounced and other songs but they all we're extremely talented and brilliant Rick Wright and Nick Mason send David Gilmour and Rodger Waters and Syd Barrett. Were all extremely talented and gifted I sure pray does that accept Jesus Christ as their lord and savior and repent of all their sins so they go up to heaven so we can listen so then playing for our Lord and savior!!
But then, it wasn't released until the 80's, and even then, it was on a "Works", their greatest hits. Lots of people don't buy greatest hits albums, if they already have all of the other albums.
This is what bands sound like before they sell out to the record company. Except Zappa because he never sold out. Don`t like what I do? I`ll start my own record company. Barking Pumpkin.
Pink Floyd never sold out. They had full control of everything they did. Zappa didn't sell out, because he was doing the buying. And he wasn't always honest.
