Two reasons why it might have broken. The basket needs to be suspended, if it’s touching the bottom it causes a lot of wear to the transducer. Also, any liquid should ALWAYS be to the full line. Any less and it causes wear. Two things working against you here.
Thanks for the reply! The baskets in these Amazon units rest on the bottom so I was just using it the way it was intended but I can see that it would be better if it was suspended. My fluid level could have been higher for sure. The unit I replaced this one with worked fine on day one and then I didn't use it for a month and then the display wouldn't light up so it was junk as well.
Yup. Makes sense. I got the Vevor brand and it seems to be a solid rig. The basket has latches that keep it suspended and as long as you rest it between cleans they run without issue.
