MRT Yellow line Owner is MRTA and operator is Eastern Bangkok Monorail Company (EBM) in BTS Group.

5:14 It's probably controlled automatically, or maybe by some people in the OCC (Operations Control Center)

I have a question, why do different sources call the Sukhumvit Line (and Silom Line) differently? Like how MRTA calls it Light/Dark Green Line while BTS calls it Silom/Sukhumvit Line?

It's complicated. MRTA is state-owned, but BTS is owned by Bangkok City. The Sukhumvit and Silom Lines inside Bangkok province are owned and run by BTS. However, the extension parts outside Bangkok are owned by MRTA (but operated by BTS), and they refer to this as the Light & Dark Green Line, similar to other MRT Lines.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and raising an interesting point! The naming difference between the Sukhumvit Line and Silom Line can be a bit confusing, but let me try to explain it.
Back in 1999, when the Bangkok Skytrain (BTS) was first introduced, there were only two metro lines: the Light Green Line, which we commonly know as the Sukhumvit Line, and the Dark Green Line, which we call the Silom Line. At that time, these names were based on the areas they served and were easier for people to identify.
However, as the metro system expanded with the Ministry of Transport's introduction of the new 10 metro lines plan, they decided to assign colors to each line to make them more distinct. This meant that the Light Green Line became known as the Sukhumvit Line, while the Dark Green Line was referred to as the Silom Line by some sources.
The BTS has stuck with the original names that people have become familiar with over the years. So, when you hear the BTS referring to the Silom Line or Sukhumvit Line, they are talking about the same lines.
I hope this clears up the confusion a bit. If you have any more questions or want to discuss further, feel free to let me know!
