The problem is that CTR can easily be manipulated, as Rand Fishkin and the German blogger showed. If it can be manipulated, it will be misused. Unfortunate, but true. However, the Adwords tip is a best practice for writing good title and description tags and I'm going to start using that right away.
+Priya Florence Shah but Fishkin also clarified that it will work for marathon entrepreneurs. Obviously not for sprinters. Becuase it CAN be manipulated, but if you don´t manipulate it and do it organically, it won´t be "misused" & will actually work efficiently.

Already using power words on occasion. I find that they're more fitting for certain types of content. A marketing guide can always have someone fast, today or give a step-by-step explanation, but it's another thing when you run a travel blog and call every destination awesome. Have added the CTR Magnet Method to my pre-publish checklist and will definitely be trying that out!

Your videos are extremely encouraging and inspiring :-) I started a website not too long ago and I'm getting roughly 250 page views a day. I'm thrilled to be getting that kind of traffic for a relatively new venture :-) However, I'm looking to increase traffic if possible. I only have roughly 30-40 pieces of content currently. One thing I've noticed is that, of the written content, one post in particular is getting significantly more traffic than the other posts of the same subject. Is there a a way for me to analyse why?... A tool or software perhaps? Basically I'd like to find out exactly why that particular post is doing better than others, reaching more people, etc. Any tips? Thanks for any help in advance. All the best

Hey Brian, I tried this on my personal blog 4 weeks ago and the results have been very impressive. Lead capture has seen a significant jump even though I have not wrote a new post over the same period. Thank you. However at work I have a problem / question. Looking at webmaster tools I can see our homepage ranks really well for a few keywords. My worry is if I optimise for one keyword It will negatively affect the other keywords. What do I do? Do I try to create a separate page for those terms? Is this a strategy best suited for blog / article posts only?

Magnet or Power Words? .... Yes. I think BOTH is the answer I was looking for. Though for the record, it's a bit harder to use adwords for "assumed research" when your competitors in the field clearly put little to no effort into optimizing their campaigns. A fact that I discovered after running reports and finding that several of my competitors are actively running advertising on auto-generated keywords completely unrelated to their industry. ;) Anyways, great advice!

Understood, but in my experience, there are always black hatters who will try the shortcut and ultimately force Google to devalue the ranking signal.

Hello, Brian ! Look good but i have few questions:
1 Does it work for parasite sites. Like example i just created page on wordpress and optimized for my target kw so does it get fast rank at top?
2 Does it work for brand kw's and for local seo?
3 How much traffic i must to get on my page to get fast ranking? It must to be refferal traffic from google or can be direct traffic?
4 Can i use that for low and medium competition kw's?

Hi Brian, quick question if I may? First of all I want to say thanks for all your content. Love the channel. Your videos are extremely encouraging and inspiring :-) I started a website not too long ago and I'm getting roughly 250 page views a day. I'm thrilled to be getting that kind of traffic for a relatively new venture :-) However, I'm looking to increase traffic if possible. I only have roughly 30-40 pieces of content currently. One thing I've noticed is that, of the written content, one post in particular is getting significantly more traffic than the other posts of the same subject. Is there a a way for me to analyse why?... A tool or software perhaps? Basically I'd like to find out exactly why that particular post is doing better than others, reaching more people, etc. Any tips? Thanks for any help in advance. All the best

@Brian Dean I really enjoy your videos. These are of a high quality, for sure. But, maybe Wordpress (with Yoast plugin presumably) is not the way to go? (not only to achieve highest-possible position, but also hold it long-term with some degree of certainty)

Hey Brian, I tried this on my personal blog 4 weeks ago and the results have been very impressive. Lead capture has seen a significant jump even though I have not wrote a new post over the same period. Thank you.
However at work I have a problem / question. Looking at webmaster tools I can see our homepage ranks really well for a few keywords. My worry is if I optimise for one keyword It will negatively affect the other keywords. What do I do? Do I try to create a separate page for those terms? Is this a strategy best suited for blog / article posts only?

Magnet or Power Words? .... Yes. I think BOTH is the answer I was looking for. Though for the record, it's a bit harder to use adwords for "assumed research" when your competitors in the field clearly put little to no effort into optimizing their campaigns. A fact that I discovered after running reports and finding that several of my competitors are actively running advertising on auto-generated keywords completely unrelated to their industry. ;)
