However, I was recently added, as a resource, on a website's sidebar, garnering me over 3,000 backlinks within his website. My keyword is anchortexted in a diverse way, not exact match. This shot up my rankings incredibly and has increased traffic.
Great stuff! I definitely need to work on creating content. I keep watching all these videos about tips for ranking in Google, but I don't have any content yet to rank at all. :S
Great stuff. I thankfully used some of these techniques instinctively like adding images (mandatory for my niche) and Google's suggested keywords at the bottom of the page.

Out of all of these I find that link building the most difficult. Normally I end up contacting folks via contact forms and never hear back. I hadn't considered using Google Adwords links as a source of proven click through keywords... that's a great tip! Is this content available as a blog entry or white paper? Thanks Brian!

Hey Richard, I'd definitely avoid using a contact form whenever possible. I recommend using a tool like hunter.io to find the person's email address.
