    At this point, I have been sitting on a low-yield savings account that could keep me covered for about 20 years if I just stuck with my present low-wage job, part time hours, and did nothing else. I will spend the next 20 months or so converting most of that pile of savings into a portfolio that will enable me to become sustainable indefinitely.

    Hi Joseph I just want 2 say ty. I'm an ex-con, disabled, n broke. I have no real idea what 2 do. Watching ur videos n following ur instructions as best I can I now have a Roth IRA which is up $224.45 from 3,327.29 using the he $1-5 a day strategy n only using the Stash app. On Stash, they do not have most of the stocks u recommended, but the few they do have has giving me hope 4 the future. My credit is ass, my wife is carrying us(my 3 kids n i)on her back n even though I'm disabled, I can not receive government assistance because my wife works long hours. We can never seem 2 get ahead because we didn't have ppl in our lives 2 show us a better way. Life sucks rn, but ur videos n recommended stocks have given us a little hope n a better chance at a better future. I thank u because ur knowledge is helpful n ur giving it 2 me 4 free. Ty again.

    I would say the best 3 Investments are:
    1) Education 2) Starting your own Business 3) A globally diversified ETF
    Not sure it´s necessary to emphasize growth stocks and monthly(?) dividend stocks here for small, unexperienced investors. Could really hurt if you don´t diversify properly.

    • @nancyz3705
      @nancyz3705 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have stash, I can tell you they charge fee is better off investing with Charles schwab fidelity. Stash is slow at buying and selling your shares. If one stock is dipping and you wanna buy in you might not get the good price, becaus they only have trading window like maybe four time a day or three.

    • @jedc6507
      @jedc6507 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It can be alright for when you're just beginning, but the moment you learn a bit more and start wanting to go further with investing, it goes down hill really fast. One of the biggest issues is it has only 4 "windows" where it executes its trades, two in the morning and two in the afternoon. This means you lose out on all the other time in the day. It also doesn't have a lot of the features other places do.
      Honestly, even as a beginner, the other choices aren't too far behind (stash has a more hands on approach to helping g new investors pointing out "maybe you should buy this low risk bond" "OK, now see if you like any of these etf's" etc) but they are miles and miles ahead once you get the bare minimum of learning underneath your belt. I myself use fidelity with their PC app, and would recommend either that or webull. Robinhood is extremely suspect atm for their part in the whole GME deal. If you don't know what I mean by that, that's fine tl;Dr is don't use them either

    I make my own coffee, it costs me $1 day and that is multiple cups. There is NO way I am giving that up, to have $40,000 after multiple decades of investing. I think a better example is areas where you can trim your budget on a much larger scale, like living in a smaller house (the cost increase with taxes, heating/cooling is in the thousands, sometimes tens of thousands a year if you live in a larger house, many people don't even use a lot of the area in a large house). Also cars, most people don't need a $30,000 or higher vehicle. As well as entertainment expenses, I will take my coffee any day over an expensive cable TV bill, or even live entertainment shows (concerts, sporting events, comedy shows). It shocks me how much money Americans who make average income will spend on live entertainment events (the only exception is if they are living at home with parents when you are young, and not paying full rent or if you are make a huge salary and can afford to drop hundreds of dollars on a live event with all the added fees/parking, etc). The last one would be eating out. I still eat out, but I go to a diner or pizzeria that serves entrees (I have my meal and get it to go as well, so I get 2 meals out of it). I spend around $20 to $25 when I eat out, so that is around $15 a meal when you factor in tip.
