Great video! I just wanna add that you can shield faster when running by holding the direction you’re running in while holding shield as opposed to letting go of the stick and then shielding. It was a big help for me and allows for closing the distance between projectile users since you can shield so quickly.
Hey all! for the Option Selects out of parry the trick here is that you need to let go of shield then as quick as possible do your special then jump. Theres a small window and if you dont hit that window u will jump and buffer that special. Pretty much what is happening is that you can only really jump cancel shield drop lag. The goal is to do your special once u shield drop to parry, is to immediate special then jump. Up Bs cant do this because of their up input allowing cancels from shield drop as well. If you are doing jump then special without being touched you are either doing the special after jump or doing the overall inputs too slow! see what you can do with your character! This is really big for some characters! - BAM
I love your voice bam and I think the chill vibe u wanted to carry with it , but can you guys turn the volume up just a bit for the next episode? I was max volume and couldn’t really hear that well while in the shower 🥲 compared to other videos.
@@Bamoftheppl I think it's less about volume and more about evening the signal out with slight compression and EQ. A pop filter would also do wonders to handle those plosives at 2:04 .
more clarity on COPOS and accidentally added said shield grab AND shield drop normals are +4 additional frames rathan just shield grab. Want to make sure it is proper for the future use.
No, it just says shield-drop normals and shield grabbing in general are weaker than in past Smash games, which is correct, as shield dropping in this game is 11 frames while in the past it's 7 frames.
we left that in because shield drop normals are weaker because shield grabbing penalty affects what you play around, and shield drop normals are overall worse because of shield stun and how aerials are. It was still important to make sure ppl are aware that it has overall become a worse option.
