    Good Stuff Main. The New update is getting there. Great job wish i had seen this a year ago ! I just took my FORCE Out of the Closet. ITs amazing and this video adds major possibilities. If you could pass onto Roland a wish for new software. I m bummed as others are regarding a limit on plug in tracks. We can manage our own polyphony if that is why. I am sure they could add extra tracks for plug ins simply for the sake of tracking rather then sample transfer to tracks or drum programs. anmid here is why. The most powerful thing about the Force is the ability to mix between three simultaneous versions of multi tracks with A/B Assign. IF People Are not using this they are missing out to even more possibilities. This Is reason I would ask for AKai to expand the 8 plug ins to 16 at very least. The A/B and Middle Mix could make for some even more insane mix variations if we could get 16 plug ins ( let us Manage Polyphony. Thanks again Main !

    Hey Matt thanks for the great videos. You break down stuff I can't seem to find so far, so thanks.
    I wanted to know if Keygroups is a way to get way more samples on to the pads then just the 4x4 drum kits?
    I haven't seen a Keygroup video quite yet. And I want to play them all on my Launkey 49 controller.
    I am going to look for a MIDI controller with Force video on your page as well right now.
    I just want more stuff to play with than the 4x4 drums. Seems like a waste of pads.
    New to the Force really. So still squeezing the manual for all it's worth.
    Cheers buddy and have a great year.
    Jay

    Hahaha, at this moment I wanted to open TH-cam and look for a Stratton video because of wondering where my sample went.
    Thank you Matthew for all your good and well explained videos!!!!!!!!! All thumbs up!
    Maybe you could do a video showing recording of external gear. I don´t get it right I think.

    Thanks for your vital tutorials! I've got 2 sole questions that ate driving me mad...
    How do you go back when searching through hardisk subfolders?
    How do you delete a track? Holding delete is not working....
    Many thanks!

    • @MatthewStratton
      @MatthewStratton  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I think a dedicated sample pool mode would be useful. Have it set up where you can load, save, delete and see what programs and clips the samples are assigned to in one window/screen.

      @@MatthewStratton I'm understanding that many differences are due to the new workflow or UX Akai is bringing, but some "missing" things already there have no reason to be hidden.
      Anyway thank you again, I was feeling lonely thinking that nobody noticed this ... 😁

    How about showing us how to sample sounds and assign them to proper key. This has been kicking my butt. Some of my AKP key groups are not playing nice in FORCE...and to reassign 3 keys has proven to be a nightmare

    what if you have a MPC Live and not a full studio version? I don't have a "SAVE" button on the Live. I can go back to "MAIN" and save from there, but still not sure where it goes or how to retrieve it.

    Hi what do you prefer the force or the live. I just bought the force 2 months ago but think 8 should have got the live for the extra features and portability

    • @MatthewStratton

      I actually really like the song mode on the MPC. I can focus better with the Live. Will spend more time with Force eventually. The recent update should be super helpful.

      Many thanks your videos are so helpful . I think I will keep the force as over the coming months with updates it will get a better unit but I think I will purchase a live as well. It seems when it was first released it was a good unit. Now a few years on with updates it’s an amazing until.

    Hey Matt! Let me see if l understand this, in the save section there is no "save clip" function but a way around this is that you can save any clip or sample to the sample pool and this includes any clip from any project, track, key group so that these can be reused to a new project, is this correct. I just find it odd they did not include a clip library(pool) since these are the main building blocks to creating a project.

    • @MatthewStratton
      @MatthewStratton  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Any audio in the project is automatically in the sample pool weather it is being used or not. If you save the sample or keygroups or drum program or project or audio clip to your internal/external memory you can use them in other projects. A dedicated sample pool menu would likely make things easier.

    Could you help me I'm struggling with how to edit pad release on as sample pad, rather than let a sample continue to sustain if its a longer sample I need it to stop upon release with a little bit of fade as opposed to playing out till the end so there is only a bit of decay? Simple question I record big audio files, how I manage the "playback audio from this point" so I don't have to hear the clip or all the scene from the beginning every time? I am sure there is better way to put it but someone may get it. And I am sure the answer is simple too heheheh help guys

      Correct. ALL audio files go into the sample pool. Doesn’t matter where you record it from or if it is loaded from memory.
