Don't sleep on this pedal as a final stage for a plugged in acoustic as well. Very light saturation, like 9-10 oclock, and it will give you a little high end rolloff and some light compression (as a tape machine would). Really makes my acoustic sound full and "mastered" so to speak when playing live. Real neat box to run vocals through as well, if you want a slightly overdriven sound and/or a very tasty slapback.
I always scrolled right past this pedal cause I never knew what it was all about. Now I have become obsessed with it and look forward to seeing it on my board next to my other Strymon's. Such a great company.
I’m heading up to Sweetwater tomorrow to pick one up. My board is slowly becoming all Strymon 😂 (bluesky, big sky, timeline, iridium, and the deco as of tomorrow)
Yea, some pedals take a while to grow on me, like the EAE Halberd v2 overdrive. The day I got my Deco v2 I ate a weed gummy and I fell in love with it right away, its never coming off my board unless Strymon does an upgraded version. I felt like I was transported back to the 70s!
Amazing demo. Love the sounds. Although I'm aware that the Deco shines mostly in Stereo, do you think it has a large benefit also in Mono in a typical rig?
Lots of people say the Greer Light Speed does just that. I dont want a Deco with less features I want one with more! Like more repeats and more control of the modulation.
Ох, давно видео небыло. С возвращением. Спасибо за видео.
Thanks! 🙏
Great review. This is a pedal that takes some time to get to know. It’s truly unique in how those two sides can be blended and dialed in.
Where you use it? The final chain, effect loop?

Sounds awesome, Keven. Late to the game on this one too.
Thanks Brian Alex! I had seen some people post about it, but never understood their hype until I had one in my hands, haha.
Wow Kev, that sounds amazing! I have a Iridium I use but gassing hard for a Deco after this demo, great review man!!
Nice playing, too. 🤘🏻🎸
Welcome back Keven! Been a while!
Thank you Edward!! Yesss, more incoming too!

Haha the same here. Mindblown. But hey, at least we both know now haha.

Actually, I only ran it stereo for this demo. On my board it's in mono. I have the right side set to the chorus.. Actually obsessed.
Your strat 9-42. Elixir? Very good sound
Strymon should release a saturation pedal that is just the left side of the Deco. 👍🏻
haha I was literally wishing for the same thing.. now when it's on my board I am low-key obsessed with the chorus on the right side

One of the best pedals I've ever played
Where you use it? The final chain, effect loop?
@@Twylightt I love it in the effect loop, this is where you can get the best textures
Saturation work well in effects loop?!
@@Twylightt yes it brings some very clever grain. The whole thing is a computer. The fact the drive is in the loop is just a parameter in the chain.
But can it give me a sweet haircut like you have?
