The only problem I see with this theory is that for all we know Pathfinder saw that years or seconds ago. Just seems kinda random and unlikely that the mob would show up now of al times.
It was also a nice touch to see Path replicating others actions as he sees fit. Right as that other detective comes in to take Pathfinder away he says "Piss off, scavlander" to Maldera. Later, Path says the same to the Spectre that got crushed by a wall. He also punched one of the guards protecting the ship the same way as Maldera. The story in apex and titanfall is great, friend! :)

I want the skyscrapers to be like in Warzone where they are high up and multiple floors to play on. The Skyscrapers need to not be limited by a timer ether. I like how we have gotten places high up like the Reverie and underground like oasis.

Throughout the cinematic you can see pathfinder learning how to fight from the Lt. dude (who just so happened to be training with boxing gloves in the beginning of the video). Every time he knocks someone out, pathfinder mimics his moves. I wouldn’t be surprised if later down the line path got his own pair of boxing gloves (hence the heirloom)
