I just installed this in my G87 yesterday and it took my brother and i like an hour and a half just to get the damn sensor down in the bottom of the engine all hooked up. What a pain in the ass! Was totally worth it in the end though :)
Have you noticed any lag or jerkiness? I installed a Areeve and nothing but problems with it. My last two were with Racechips and no issues.
Just installed it in my G87 very impressive indeed. Oh and the next day I added it to my 2.0T Jeep Wrangler as well

The miltek sports cat I fitted to my B9 S4 was shocking quality, should have sent it back in hindsight.

Could you please post the installation video? Or at least the part where you unplug/plug the TMAP sensor under the water pump. Seems like you need a special trick to do it.

Epic gains on performance! I always used a RaceChip for a Peugeot RCZ I had, and I loved it. I'm thinking of waiting out the warranty on my BMW M2 G87 before getting a RaceChip for it though. Is it really not detectable if you physically remove it? I have a fear that *something* is registered and would void my warranty if the dealership check properly. What I'm 100% never doing is having my ECU shipped out and unlocked - no way. It's either RaceChip or basically stock.
What it does is effectively recorded by the car. BMW can see what torque etc the car has been putting out and accordingly know something has been used thus warranty on drivetrain is bye bye. They have been able to see this data for a good few years but it is only if you try to claim for something big you will probably find out the hard way that they know. Cars 'record' an awful lot people have no idea about.

I hear the ECU logs the turbo parameters and a dealer/OEM if they really wanted too, could see you've had a box on because the boost is higher than stock?
Yes, every box or tune is logged and could be read by BMW or others. You lose guarantee.
Always wondered if it’s possible to remove these logs, it’s only data I’m guessing so probably could?
May as well have a custom tune then if the dealer can tell it’s been played with, you’ll still lose your warranty if you have a catastrophic failure, also adding 100 bhp isn’t exactly a small increase so see how long it lasts.
BMW can see if a box has been used as parameters are stored in a few places and can be read by BMW. Anyone who says the box fools the systems into not recording the actual values delivered is wrong. It might fool the DME to deliver more but the values actually delivered are recorded by, say, the gearbox …. Torque for example.
prove it - car must of been overboosting
Anybody know the boost pressure increase? Stock is around 28 psi,, the limit on stock plastic intercooler/intake is supposedly in the 30's before they start separating.
Where you getting that number. The car says stock is 16 psi
Just going by what the dummy gauge shows on the center display. It shows the highest level for about 5 seconds. Furthest right of gauge says 30 and it gets pretty close at max.
are these numbers crank or wheel horsepower?
Does the G87 M2 dyno higher in Efficient mode than Sport and Sport + like the M3/M4 ?

If I can afford one or not is irrelevant, for the record I can. They are ugly, fact. As I said my opinion. Took my car many times to awesome gti, love the guys. Not like I’m bashing them.
