Attack of the Clones is my first favorite Prequel movie. It is not to bad, but I think it those a really good job forth shadowing Anakin fall to the darkside and becoming Darth Vader.
I actually really, really, really like it. I prefer it over Phantom Menace for many reasons. It has better pacing than most films in the saga. I actually prefer Dooku over Maul because I love Christopher Lee and his lightsaber hilt looks awesome. It feels like Star Wars. Phantom Menace is basically anthology because there was no war that takes place and the title is called “Star Wars” and it sets nothing important up, except the Chosen One prophecy, which I always thought was a terrible idea and ruins much potential. The dialogue doesn’t bother me much Believe me, you’ll eventually get used to it. And I love Kamino and the Cloners. And the best part is that this film only has like 5 minutes of Jar Jar screen time. The big change I would make would be to have Sam Wessel to just say to go the Kamino. That would save much time. I always skip those slow scenes. Attack of the Clones is my 5th favorite Star Wars movie. It’s obvious that the original trilogy and Revenge of the Sith are better. Always remember - Clone Troopers > Stormtroopers

We need an extended edition of this movie where they include the Padme family deleted scenes where we see Padme‘s point of the romance and maybe have Obi Wan find out what happened to Syfo Dias and give more scenes to Dooku
Attack of the Clones is my all-time favorite Star Wars movie and the first Star Wars movie that I ever saw! I was very little when I saw it and it was what made me fall in love with Star Wars. Thanks for all the prequel love!
In all honesty, Attack of the Clones is my Favorite Prequel. It has problems, but I think it's a bit better than Phantom Menace. Just a fun watch in my book. 8/10
All those "fans" focusing on lesser things and details have missed the themes and nuances this movie has (I himself never realised that until I rewatched the while saga prior to Episode 9).
I think she said "I failed you senator" to continue the reuse, so if anyone was listening, they would keep thinking Padme was the imposter, and they killed the real "Senator"

I know many MANY people disagree but I love attack of the clones, every time I see just clips of the film I have so much, whether its the beginning in coruscant where Anakin and obi-wan are protecting Padme in her home and then chasing the bounty hunters; I love the scene where Anakin jumps of the speeder recklessly. Naboo is woven excellently throughout to film, not to mention all the great scenes of Kenobi being a detective in kamino, then continuing Anakin's descent into oblivion by experiencing loss in Tatooine, and who can forget the climax in Geonosis where Anakin experiences the first aspect of the loss of his humanity at the hands of count Dooku. If I didn't have so much fun watching and writing about the film I would care about my run-ons and grammar.
About those Cockroaches 🪳, it actually wasn’t George’s idea for Anakin to kill the younglings. Hayden just showed up on set one day and started to whack those little f***ers, and turns out George was filming the entire time.
I think what has happened in the case of Star Wars criticism is that people have forgotten that Star Wars is popcorn theater. It's literally based off of old popcorn theater flicks and in that vein it should be understood. As far as popcorn theater goes it's top notch. While I can easily say that empire strikes back is cinema I can easily defend all but Disney Star Wars.
My second favorite Star Wars movie!!! Many great scenes and i love the underlying sense of confusion/ deception. Anakin is my favorite character and he is great in AotC and his scenes on Tatooine with Padme and his mother is pure perfection, some of the best scenes in all of Star Wars. Not to mention Obi Wan on Kamino, Mace and Yoda's realization that they are losing touch with the force, and I wish we had more of Count Dooku in the beginning of the film, he is a cool anti hero and his ties to Syfo Dyas and Qui Gon wouldve been cool to explore just a little bit more. Not to mention the chase scene through Coruscant is so cool and really fun. The story and visuals are amazing, great acting and honestly a greatly underrated film

@@benmalsky9834 I've never been a fan of it because Ahsoka is an awkward inclusion. Anakin in episodes 2 and 3 is too emotional to take on a padawan for only the span of 3 years. It's not very believable. The microseries fits in way better with his character from the movies.
Everyone hates the love story between Anakin and Padmé in Attack of the Clones, but if the love story did not exist, everyone would complain that it is not there, and that therefore the marriage between Anakin and Padmé in the end would be unrealistic. Change my mind...
TPM shows why Anakin is so important, his strong attachment to his mom, why Obi-Wan wasn't right teacher to him, why he hates Tatooine, Jedi rules, Palpatine becoming chancellor, world building, etc...And of course, podracing and Darth Maul. AOTC actually tells a great story (Palpatine's rise to power by manipulation Republic and Separatists, Anakin's progression of falling to the Dark Side, start of the Clone Wars), develops characters, shows us real war, new planets, species, ships, droids, world, and has strong connection with 1 and 3. What does ROTS show us? The largest battle in the Clone Wars, deaths of Dooku and Grievous, Kashyyk battle, Anakin's conflict with Jedi and himself, his weakness (save who he loves), which perfectly works with saving Luke, Palpatine's manipulation and rise to power, Order 66, 2 amasing final battles and the creation of Darth Vader and Empire, birth of Luke and Leia, new hope. It is meaning for the whole Galaxy and is the most emotional.
I think Anakin and Padme’s relatiis decently established. Ironically I feel alot more of a connection between them when George isnt trying to force it. It’s nit the romance ever written but it’s nowhere near the worst.

Did you see him boasting about murdering, not only the men, but the women and the children too. You nailed it. Lets also not forget he recently beheaded Dooku. Yes his turn makes perfect sense

@@TurfNationYT Actually, Dooku was written very well. Far better than he was in either of The Clone Wars series'. He just didn't get much screentime. Christopher Lee knew Dooku's entire backstory, right down to the planet he was born on - Serenno for the record - but George Lucas couldn't fit all that information into one movie.
I love all the prequels, i think this films should be re-released in a extended version, there are many deleted scenes that are really cool and could enrich the plot.
This is the only movie where Anakin is a real person. In 1 he’s a plot point and in 3 he’s too much of a cutout for a bad guy. Here he is real, with real people awkwardness

Attack of the clones is my favourite star wars movie. I challenge any one to point out an actual flaw. Almost none of the people who casually dislike it have even watched it in years. Luckily, that means when I'm debating someone who dislikes it (in person, online no one actually listens), it's pretty easy to convince them to like it again. Just show them a few clips to show that they are misremembering :)

I do know many people hate this movie. I do agree on the many cringe moments. If I had any say in this movie, the only scenes I would change, to give depth is the moment Anakin held his mom, full of anger. Use contact lenses or cgi to change his eyes in that murder spree. The second scene would be the one he confesses to Padme that he killed everyone. (And not just the men ... ((Voice deep change, close to Darth Vader)) ... But the women, and the children too. They're like animals and I slaughtered them like animals.I hate them." ( Without the shortness of breath, obviously.). I don't know about other people, but for me it would have shown the conflict within himself about the way he follows. I can easily dissect the movie, cause it has many flaws. I am talking about small changes that could have made this movie more enjoyable.
I grew up with the prequels and it’s definitely my favorite trilogy, but I do consider AOTC to be the most flawed of them IMO. Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy it, but ROTS easily takes the cake for being my all time favorite Star Wars movie.
I have mixed feeling about the PT as a whole, while I love the content in all of the movies, I agree that the phantom menace as a movie is not exactly the most amazing movie of all time… even Lucas acknowledged that the pacing was all over the place. Attack of the clones was one of the necessary pieces of Star Wars’ main character’s story. It explained how anakin was really just a normal guy who felt all of our own emotions. He didn’t become Darth Vader simply because he was some kind of evil douchebag… Revenge of the Sith needs no defence from me, it’s widely agreed to be the best Star Wars movie of all time. The sequel trilogy, being devoid of Lucas’ input, is hot garbage, and at least we real fans can all agree on that fact.
When Anakin sees Padmé kissing Thor before he goes to fight Loki at Asgard. Anakin: How could you do this? This is outrageous! It’s unfair! Padmé: Ani please let me explain. Anakin: How could you be at a place that’s full of sand?!
I like it and it gets slightly better with each rewatch but only if I pace myself with said rewatches. I think Crystal skull is still better than this one but they’re both pretty close in quality. And this one does have some really dumb stuff but TLDR it’s pretty ok, definitely not a masterpiece at all, but the ending is epic
The problem with Attack of the clones is that it doesn't feel like much of a story on it's own. It's simply a sequence of events that act as a prelude to revenge of the Sith, it's job was essentially to set the table for the next movie. And while I feel it did it's job well and there are parts of the movie I enjoy it's not a strong movie on it's own.
It doesn’t really set up the next movie very well at all considering that RotS completely glosses over like 90% of the Clone Wars. The romance stuff is also way too poorly done for the film to really work. The entire film hinges on the love story working, but George’s dialogue just gets in the way of it (also the romance story is just terribly paced). The only good part of the movie’s story is Obi-Wan’s B plot.

The ending is 40 minutes of pure action. Across the stars is great. Anakins speech after slaughtering the tuskens is really emotional.

Actually, the Jedi are perfectly fine with sex, as long as it's without attachment.

I don't know about other people, but for me it would have shown the conflict within himself about the way he follows.
I can easily dissect the movie, cause it has many flaws.
I am talking about small changes that could have made this movie more enjoyable.

I grew up with the prequels and it’s definitely my favorite trilogy, but I do consider AOTC to be the most flawed of them IMO. Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy it, but ROTS easily takes the cake for being my all time favorite Star Wars movie.

I have mixed feeling about the PT as a whole, while I love the content in all of the movies, I agree that the phantom menace as a movie is not exactly the most amazing movie of all time… even Lucas acknowledged that the pacing was all over the place.
Attack of the clones was one of the necessary pieces of Star Wars’ main character’s story. It explained how anakin was really just a normal guy who felt all of our own emotions. He didn’t become Darth Vader simply because he was some kind of evil douchebag…
Revenge of the Sith needs no defence from me, it’s widely agreed to be the best Star Wars movie of all time.
The sequel trilogy, being devoid of Lucas’ input, is hot garbage, and at least we real fans can all agree on that fact.

I like it and it gets slightly better with each rewatch but only if I pace myself with said rewatches. I think Crystal skull is still better than this one but they’re both pretty close in quality. And this one does have some really dumb stuff but TLDR it’s pretty ok, definitely not a masterpiece at all, but the ending is epic
Look.. it's not the best star wars movie, but this movie is EASILY the most unique of all 9 we've gotten
I still hate it. Only scene that boosts it up for me is the final scene.
The problem with Attack of the clones is that it doesn't feel like much of a story on it's own. It's simply a sequence of events that act as a prelude to revenge of the Sith, it's job was essentially to set the table for the next movie. And while I feel it did it's job well and there are parts of the movie I enjoy it's not a strong movie on it's own.
It's not a stand alone movie, the whole trilogy is 1 story.

It doesn’t really set up the next movie very well at all considering that RotS completely glosses over like 90% of the Clone Wars. The romance stuff is also way too poorly done for the film to really work. The entire film hinges on the love story working, but George’s dialogue just gets in the way of it (also the romance story is just terribly paced). The only good part of the movie’s story is Obi-Wan’s B plot.

Out of the main movies, it's the one I like the least, except for Phantom Menace. However, I made this series to show that you can always find the positives with a movie if you really want to, and I've done all the movies until now except this one haha so yeah, that's why.
