This is such a great video! This helps so very much ! I have been riding my horse for the last 2 months shes 5yrs old.she stands and waits , I do the little breaks in-between exercises shes a very pleasant girl . I really loved all the chapters! You have a new subscriber!!
My trainer sent me this video and I’m so glad she did!! You explain things so well and give me a fresh perspective on how to deal with my up and coming Reiner!
Ohhh now I'm so glad I subscribed to your channel because yes I follow Warrick as well and you both have a beautiful way with horses. I am working with my own rescue mare and I am so so grateful for all your advice
Thank you so much for sharing all these videos!!! It has improved my horsemanship drastically! The most important thing I learned was to pump air with my legs(you shared it In another video) it was like the puzzle piece that was missing in my training program!
"Never get on a moving horse" - Buck Branamann ;-) Absolute pet peeve of mine, I can't stand '(pun intended) folks getting on a horse that takes off...
Mine is fine with a mounting block but we're working at standing while mounting from the ground, she doesn't "take off" but will walk once you are fully on her back. It's also a pet peeve of mine and is a main project right now
@@HoldingMoneyRansom Something I was taught was to have the horse bend towards you while mounting. If the horse is still moving a lot when its head is bent like that, then it's likely an issue that needs to be solved before you get on, whether it be poor saddle fit, the horse not being ready and getting scared, etc. Usually though, any horse will stand still if you just have them bend while you mount. If they try spin in a circle with the bent head since they can't really move forward, just move with them, don't try to mount until they're calm, let them move and let them realize they're okay but they have to stand still
The Comfort Bit went quickly out of stock everywhere following my video about it. We are waiting on the exact shipment date to do a pre-order as they will sell out again quickly. Stay tuned
In Reining it’s where you build speed in a straight line down the arena and do a sliding stop. In cow horse it’s where you run down the fence and turn a cow around. In trail riding it’s where the horse knows it’s the last stretch back to the barn and takes off and runs down to it 😉
It's a main project on my mare right now to stand while getting on from the ground, she's fine when held or on a mounting block but is uncomfortable from the ground. Shes been a lot of work and I feel I have no progress but it's drastic looking back.

I don't want my horses 'more broke'. I want them to be adequately 'started'.
Play on words,that's all

Your horses heads are too low. It's not natural looking.
Some horses naturally have a low head set
