I do a short review of your videos before I ride. It’s a big help. I saved this one and I will find the others you mentioned that focus on turn around/spins. Thanks
Hey! Just found and subscribe to your channel. I just restarted riding with my daughter after a 30 plus year hiatus. Can you share a link to your tack?
Yes. It's a common problem I see often and not only in cow horses learning to spin but in young horses too. Basically, the horse loses forward motion the moment you ask to cross over and sucks back. So any exercises that will allow you to maintain forward motion will be effective. My priority would be to make sure the horse can walk a tight circle in a full flexion without resistance. I have a video in the works to address this
What is the purpose of making your horse spin circles multiple times... i can't see the purpose, besides making your horse dizzy, the ridder showing off, giving your horse a damn headache ( probably).. bottom line.. it seems cruel, very cruel, just as cruel as the people who train their horse to dsnce. Theirs bot meaningful purpose for that either, except for the ridders selfish amusement. Except a horse turning on a dime, due to either being in immediate danger.

Do you have any suggestions for a cow horse that prefers to step under rather than cross over his front legs?
