Two weeks was such a fucking good choice for this scene. God Esmail and Co. just nailed the music (and everything else in the series) from minute one. Incredible.
To me the scene was feeling kind of cliche, and I really think it was intentional with the choice of song (I love FKA, but using Two Weeks for seduction scenes is lame). I bet it was a subversion or even a joke
@@franciscofarias6385 Yes, that's literally the point - you think it's another epic steamy sex scene for a corporate drama but that takeaway is completely negated and subverted when you watch for a few extra seconds; it is an excellent utilisation of subversion. But also, FKA Twigs' Two Weeks released only a few months before Mr. Robot Season 1 started shooting; to act like it's a lame and cliche use of music to use in a sex scene, when this was probably the first piece of media to actually use such music, is just objectively and outright wrong.
I like the intro of the music, the mood fits this scene well, as do the subsequent lyrics. I had to listen to the original song to realize they expanded the start of the song. Catchy beat.
I've noticed they do this with a lot of songs to make the music fit the scene, which is so cool - the most memorable one for me has to be the scene in S03E08 where Elliot talks to Angela with the extended version of In Time playing in the background
can someone help explain sharon's motivation? from the beginning at her own home to this rooftop she repeatedly turned tyrell down. she made it a point to make fun of him for so. yet right before her demise she seemed to actually consent. did tyrell actually convince her or was she playing him one last time before he actually killed her
LSS- She and her husband know/knew Tyrell was aiming towards the same CTO position due to the events from a dinner party they previously had before these events. Tyrell was too obvious with his intentions,and Sharon knew he was only 'interested' in her strictly for his own career ambitions, which is why she even bothered listening to him talk, in order to get more information on the plot to overthrow her husband career ambitions. He has no control over his emotions.. That's why he killed her when he didn't 'want' to or have to. The pressure of keeping up with his high status was at a breaking point by this night.
He fired his associates for 1 reason, and 1 reason only….because he felt his power starting to slip….like he wasn’t in control of his life. So he fired them just to feel like he was still in control of things in his life. That’s also why he gave them min severance as well….PS….it didn’t work lol….also there would be a ton of touch transfer DNA around her neck and all over her body….dude woulda been busted in seconds lol

Because he simply can't take the pressure of trying to get to the top anymore. He is venting his frustrations throughout the entire season when he beats up the homeless man or fires his coworkers, but it is not enough. It catches up to him and he takes it out on Sharon.
I agree that it was about frustration and the pressure. What put him over the top, I think, was that he was actually succeeding in sleeping with Scotts wife, but it probably wasn't even gonna work. He was prostituting himself for nothing.

I'm more like to gravitate towards the characters with relatable qualities like mine because it's quite rare to find protagonists sharing similar flaws with mine. But, here's the thing, sometimes, when I least expect a character to be relatable to me, in whatever aspect I could relate to them. If you have seen Game of Thrones, you should know queen reagent, Cersei Lannister. I have a part of mine that relates to her, like taking revenge when Myrcella died. All it takes for me is the actions and the reasoning of that character. That's all. And I only judge a character fully after having ended reading/watching the material.

To actually kill them you have to hold on for a good extra five minutes or so. You can't really choke someone to death unwittingly.
