Thank you for making this video. There is a rectangular hole on the side near the top, mine has a little water coming out of it when the dishwasher fills, but enough to leave a small puddle on the wood floor. It appears to be an overflow, but why overflow onto the floor? More importantly, do I need to replace this part? Thank you again.
Thanks for another terrific video. They are consistently very professionally produced and understandable. You are providing a great service to many people. Keep up the great work.
I have had failure codes several times over the 4 years I owned my Samsung. Each time I have cleaned the gunk out of the interior under the strainer and around the heating element and sensors and put it back together and it has worked for another year. Never replaced any parts. Lousy design when the sensors are that easily made faulty by dishwasher gunk. I recommend any empty cleaning cycle weakly to reduce the gunk build up.
Is it possible to remove the gunk buildup instead of purchasing a new panel? I do not have error codes or water level issues, though I do have issues with proper cleaning.
If it's clogged then you shouldn't have to replace it but that depends. Try clearing the gunk out then testing it to see if that did the trick. If it didn't then you'd wanna look at replacing that panel
This is a common problem. Go ahead and replace that piece, then wait 6 months for it to plug again. I have had mine for one and a half years and have had to take it apart 3 times. The dishwasher has a major problem that the drain at that piece goes into a tiny squirrel maze then out to the main drain. If one single nut or seed makes it past the drain at the bottom of your dishwasher and the squirrel maze will plugged... then all food particles back up and once again, "no drainage!"
Thanks, not not saying which hose was which. I had to wait a month for the replacement part to come in and can't remember which hose goes on which port. It would have been helpful if you'd have said which hose goes where
I was gettting an 9E error. I took the side panel off, and checked this part. It looked clean. I put everything back together, now I am getting an HE error code (something with heat sensing). How could this error come up now? Did I put something back together incorrectly?
im getting oE error, i took water panel out, like on the movie, but it seems to be ok, no food or other stuff stocked inside; are those water panels have some type of life cycle after which they need to be replaced? is that water panel responsible for oE error or what else may cause it?
+Lindsay Bowen If you have the same one that we show in the video it should simply pull away. Perhaps there is another retainer or locking tab you have to release.
+Lindsay Bowen Try looking inside the machine for a grey disk that has "open close" written on it. If it is there, it is the locking disk. It needs to be rotated towards open. If it is stuck, which it will be, you can free it with taps from a screwdriver at a place that won't easily break.
+Scott Franco that disk had me stumped too then I came back at watched that part again, long nose pliers made it so easy to remove and put back when I was done.
+Xiao Dai Cleaning it out solves the water level problem, I just watched this clip to see how it is removed. cleaned the gunk out with an airgun and garden hose, put it all back together and turned it on and alarm was gone, also got some gunk out of one of the pipes that connects to it.
I am getting th smart auto andd heavy lights blinking. I replace the ECS sensor 2 weeks ago but now it has re-appeared. Do I need to replace the water panel part as well? The unit is not leaking. I don't want to waste any more money.
is the reason for replacing this item because of a blinking smart auto and heavy light...i start my dishwasher and it starts to fill and then i hear a tone and those lights are blinking and the dishwasher sounds like its draining
+Artsy Scrub This part has a sensor that monitors the dishwasher fill cycle. If there is a problem it is possible for it to signal the the board there is an issue.

Hi, mine has the same issue, did you get it fixed? I have replaced the part with a new one, but it's not working.
Great tip to use the needle nose pliers to remove the water panel grill! Mine wouldn't budge using raw force! However that did the trick!

Just be better next time. Take pictures, don't blame this guy.
When I remove the access panel the water line is not visible. The white electric panel cover goes all the way across. Please advise. Thanks

The water panel is really tight, and I am afraid I will break it. I have the same model as the machine in the video. It's OK just to force it, right?

can someone specify which hose goes into which connection on the panel??
Did you ever get an answer to this?
How do you know that part is bad.???
Yup, I just subscribed. Thanks
That flippin plastic panel costs $100
Does this replacement solve the water level error problem?

Pretty stupid that you don't say to remove the water panel grill before removing the panel.
What symptoms are you fixing. Your videos are very slow and very little information.
