Newer models have a thermistor instead of the ECS temperature sensor? I'm getting the "Smart Auto" and "Heavy" lights blinking together indicating an over-level water error.

Mine was purchased in 2014 and 2 years later having the smart auto and heavy error. Mine has the metal thermistor instead of the white ECS sensor. Have you tried fixing yours?

+Everything Goes opted to replace it with a whirlpool dishwasher, caught a Black Friday sale. From my research, there was a good chance I'd have to replace 3 parts costing $250. Not worth the risk of a relapse when a new whirlpool was $450.

I bought an ecs sensor but apparently I need a thermistor... Spent 1hr looking for that damn ecs sensor! LOL So i need more then just a thermistor? Mine also shows Smart Auto and Heavy blinking.

Actually, Samsung agreed to fix mine for free due to the heater blew up after the machine started to run with no water in it. All they replaced apart from the obvious heater was the brake module on the side. I think what happens is the over flow sensor also acts like a inlet water level sensor but calcium build up clogged up the passage causing the sensor to not read correctly.

i found it easier to just flip it on it's side and take the bottom panel off. Still waiting to see if it fixed my issue though....same blinking auto+heavy; and the overflow seems to be working fine so that's not the issue; if this doesn't fix it i'm just going to buy a new dishwasher. Not worth investing a ton of money into a year and a half old product that has so many issues.
