In this video, I compare the original snowflake to the current one. Which one do you prefer, double logo or single logo?? INSTAGRAM: / broke_watch_fanatic
This is my most preferred watch in my collection. No matter what honey moon I have with other newer watches, I always go back to the snowflow eventually.
Finally got hold of the SBGA011 yesterday in a very good condition. Loving it to bits! The OG really stands out! Like you said, if you know, you know. 😁
I have a 011 I just picked up. Love the watch and really enjoyed your video comparison. It’s weird coming from stainless steel omegas. The watch is so light I cannot even tell I’m wearing one
Extremely helpful video (as always!). I was trying to answer this question before making a Snowflake purchase and I did go with the 011. In addition to my 413…😮
Bought the SGBA011 straight from Japan a few weeks ago (looks flawless) and I've been alternating between leather straps and the titanium bracelet. I find a navy blue strap makes the dial and second hand really "pop".
So... any good band options for the Snowflake? Wondering partially for a different option, and partially to prevent scratches on the bracelet and going more casual. Win win.
I use a leather strap from grand Seiko which works perfect . The watch is almost perfect but get the feel that GS as a whole can do better in their bracelets
I personally prefer the double signed 011. I like how you can sneak under the radar, as it has an applied Seiko logo at the top. The applied GS emblem at the bottom lets people who are logo snobs know its a GS as well. I think the text balance better, as you do. Additionally, aince the 211 will be in production longer than 011, i think they will be more rare. All good things! GS puts out so many "Limited Editions" but the truly limited models are the ones they aren't making anymore.
Double branding ftw, they will get rarer as they fall into true collector hands. Although to mention - I prefer the more squat and classic typography found in the “SEIKO” at 12..they seem to use 2 different sizes. The skinner one is much more elegant and classic, so unfortunately wouldnt get this model. Beautiful watches nonetheless.
I dont think there are any fake spring drive movements. And with a transparent back, it'll be easy to confirm the movement is spring drive (mechanical, but wheel goes in one direction continuously without any choppy clicking back and forth, and no fork)
not worth the price. the band is subpar. titanium is very prone to scratches. only deluded fanboys pay thousands of dollars for that watch. you're better off spending money on a rolex.
Such a classic the snowflake really is the perfect one watch collection
It can be easily that!
what if I have 52 watches?
@@avenueb24 here 🙈
@@vivekvig454 50 is the right number I have found. Stick with Casio, Citizen, Seiko and most importantly Orient for bulk of them.

I can totally understand ✊

Nice find!
Great comparison. I was leaning toward the 211, but I think you changed my mind for the better!
I prefer the newer version, I will be buying it at some point in the future, great video!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Awesome! Thank you!
I own the SBGA259 - the “golden snowflake” - the gold just adds so much warmth and depth with the titanium.
Very nice! That’s a nice and rare model. I hope to see one in person.
Just bought the SBGA413 Shunbun, It's a great watch !
Great video man 👏
Appreciate it!

Titanium does take some getting used to. Great pick up! Congrats!🎊

That’s a great combo right there! 👍👍
Damn I was just researching this! I'm starring at my sarx055 baby snowflake and it's like telling myself I have a sbga011 xD!
That’s another great piece for sure!
Great comparison. If you know, you knowwwww❄️❄️❄️
Haha thank you!

Congrats on the purchase!
Was it much less expensive than the 211?
@@simontemplar3445 5.7k CAD with customs 6-6.5k CAD...yah I think so
@@simontemplar3445 $4,903 CAD, with customs around $5,500 CAD so yes.
I’m turning 40 this year and top of my list is the SBGA011 I’d love to add one to my collection!
Great value nowadays.
So... any good band options for the Snowflake?
Wondering partially for a different option, and partially to prevent scratches on the bracelet and going more casual. Win win.
I haven’t tried any but you can get suggestions from the Facebook group Grand Seiko Owners Club.

Nobody wants the double logo one. As much as I love Seiko when people spend money on Grand Seiko. They want it known it’s a separate brand.
Only true enthusiasts will want one.
I have 6.5inch wrist would the 011 fit better than the 211? Great video!
You won’t be able to tell the difference. I suggest you go with the dial you prefer!
For me, I’d pick the SBGA211 just cause that one mm lost in the dial looks better for my smaller wrist 😵💫
I like them both.
Hi, I’m intending to buy a (used) SGBA011. How can i be shure that it’s real and not a fake?
Buy from a reputable dealer.
I dont think there are any fake spring drive movements. And with a transparent back, it'll be easy to confirm the movement is spring drive (mechanical, but wheel goes in one direction continuously without any choppy clicking back and forth, and no fork)
Cant go wrong with either, but i prefer 211 not because of seiko, i like seikos. I just prefer the cleaner, less cluttered dial over the snowflake.
That’s also a good point!
6:27 It's like you took this unformed thought in my mind and put it into words! The double logo truly does look more balanced to me.
😂😂
I am thinking of trading my Cartier santos for this watch.
Call me old fashioned: I wouldn't want to spend 7k and see Seiko on the dial
Fair enough!
@@BrokeWatchFanatic don't get me wrong I love Seiko's! I have about 15..❤️❤️
Secondhand for the SBGA011 is about $3k atm.
@JasonRetribution where would you revemmemd buying from?
Looks the same.
But look closer…
