  • Hello and welcome to my both Subscribers and anyone who has visited my channel for my latest video.
As we are now in Summer and in longer day periods, Evening Trains at are back.
And I've visited Swanwick Station, not far from one of my local station ( Fareham ). Have been here once in the past but not spotting. This is my first time been here fully. Station is pretty good. I much prefer to stand on the down end side on Platform 2, as you can see long stretch track view looking towards Bursledon & Southampton where you can see trains approaching that I find really awesome. Up end side though you can't really see much. The other view of line towards Fareham is good, seeing trains coming from the bend and on the curve line when approaching the station. There few mixed variety but not many. As there are 8 trains per hour, 6 stops here and 2 pass through.
Trains you will see in this video is South Western Railway 450, Southern 377 & Great Western Railway 158 & 165 / 166 Turbos.
I did enjoyed my time there, despite having an encounter with a driver which I did explain in detail in the video.
I must have notice that my video could possibly may get taken down by You Tube as there could be a possibility of a Privacy Claim be made against me, so in case you see this video is no longer in content section there then it's because of that. But don't worry I will reupload it. But hopefully it won't happen, but I thought I should mention just in case it does.
If you like this video give it a like and please do feel free to leave a comment. And please do subscribe if you so wish.
Next video is Evening Trains at Fareham.
Until my next video see you all next time.
    TTFN. :)

Ooh Swanwick, one of the nicest stations on this line, I've been there once to try and catch a stopping Southern, I've seen many more Southerns after that point!

What I was thinking as well, don’t know why he was worried about been filmed. Couldn’t really see him behind the cab window for goodness sake. Him slowing the train and sticking his head out didn’t helped him. He could of just carried on driving the train as normal left me alone. Just a dumbass driver.

No it isn’t. If he doesn’t like to be filmed then he is certainly in the wrong job. As he should know full well that there will be train enthusiast doing filming and photography.
I was debating whatever I should film his train on return back to Portsmouth. But I thought what the heck why not, he cannot stop me from filming. I have not doing anything that is illegal activity. As I never filmed in his face. He pulled his sun visor down on return I just couldn’t understand why he didn’t think of it before. Should of just kept the camera running, and responded no if you don’t want to be filmed then pull your visor down or don’t speak to me.

That driver who told you to stop isnt very smart poking his head out, plus loads of people will see him anyway i dont see the issue. Hes certainly in the wrong job where train enthusiasts are.

Not very smart and not very professional. What he never should of done was saying anything to me in the first place, he knew full well I had a camcorder and recording. Because he done that he is now part of my video, and I’m not liable for it. He should of continued on doing his job and leave me be, or pull his visor down. Don’t know what the big deal is, because he isn’t visible to my camera anyway. Makes me wonder has he got something to hide that he doesn’t want anyone to know about, which could be the reason why he doesn’t want to be filmed.
