Full isometric screenshot's became near-Impossible from Infdev and beyond, simply because that screenshot would weight well... Far too much for most computers and storage devices to handle anyway (once generated part of the world becomes big enough to weight hundreds of MB)...

@@Prinzherbert There's a mod for beta 1.7.3 called "Alpha Mod" (yes, I'm serious) that acts like the Olddays mod for beta, and it actually has an isometric screenshot function. Granted, it limits the amount of chunks to what's loaded in render and also locks the origin to the center of the map.
Антон Горбачёв - Likewise, traveling a full Minecraft map became impossible from Infdev and beyond, simply because it would take many human lifetimes to see every chunk in the entire generation area of the map, and because the storage requirements of every single chunk on a Minecraft map being generated would be astronomical.
So I don't see your point- you can only generate so many chunks as a human players, and Minecraft generates chunks for those which use up storage, and Dynmap can render those which use up storage. If you have enough processing power and storage (100s of GBs, not MBs) to rapidly explore Minecraft's reaches, you also have enough processing power and storage to generate a Dynmap of it.
Your point is invalid because it applies to Minecraft worlds as well. Everything take processing power and storage, and Minecraft itself is not terribly efficient in either respect.
The isometric screenshots look a bit like Minecraft posters.

Does someone remember the nether core reactor in the pocket edition? When we didn't have any access to nether, we could build a structure with a core block cobblestone and gold blocks which spawned a nether tower in which items would spawn that you couldn't get dropped? And also zombie pigman spawned?

We have something similar in Bedrock Edition, with the 'Old' world option that creates a small 256x 256z 128y world. Doesn't have the extra generation options though.

The "Milky Potion", out of every single one of the secret potions, for me at least, has the greatest potential being an actual potion, especially with the fact, that it could be obtained by combining a bucket of milk with mundane potion. When drinking it, like a milk bucket, it should remove all effects, however, it would replace them with a new one, "Anti-effect", for a full minute. The "Anti-effect" status effect is what it sounds like, a player can't get anymore status effects while this effect is still active.

I wasn't expecting to have one for this, you commented about lava being an infinite Source in the version right before the final release but if you go back far enough in the early early days maybe before the nether update there was a point where lava and water simply acted the same so you could basically or acted very similar so you could just make a lava infinite Source the same exact way with a 2x2 even or other similar methods that can be used for water

or perhaps with the milky, use milk where you'd put an ingredient and it either reduces time it lasts, or reduces strength to make a .5 or a 1 potion, (oh god, the potion generator would be able to run forever if you cycled a potion through milk and glowstone for a while and then finally fed that potion to the generator)

Oh god I remember how I were one of my only friends who played minecraft at around 2013 and they called me crazy when I said I knew a crafting recipe for a saddle that turned out not to exist anymore when I showed it to them.
im glad that i discoverd one of this features myself. Obsidian farm was really helpful at hardcore servers
5:38 In Unreal Engine 3, this function was called tiledshot. Thing is, this just makes screenshots and stitches them together, meaning: all post effects, like a vignette for example, would also appear multiplied all over the whole image. Therefore, in Unreal Engine 4, it was replaced by the function "highresshot", which I believe bumps up the internal render resolution instead.
I could imagine Mojang removed that feature from Minecraft for similar reasons. I guess if you had a pumpkin over the head it would also multiply that, or potion effects, anything like that.
I’ve played Minecraft for a long time now, and I actually remember a lot of these. In fact, I remember specifically the super secret settings, and being baffled by the fact that fire was an item.
When I saw “super secret settings.” I thought... “Holdup..?” When I saw that I got a nice wave of nostalgia. (As well as the spectator thing)

Most recently, Mojang added then removed the ability to craft Armor with multiple Protect Enchantments. You have to go back to 1.14.2 to get it now. And back to 1.11 for Bows with Mending and Infinity on them.
I know a few SkyBlock servers that still keep the redstone obsidian generator, probably via plugin, but I remember that it was the best and only way to get to the nether via SkyBlock

You forgot the anaglyph 3D, which I miss almost as much as the super secret settings.
I remember when sss were still a thing, I made tons of wallpapers with the painting filter and it was gorgeous, so imagine using this with shaders and the high-res screenshots! Nowadays I have blender and can make basically every screenshot (even isometric) but it's not as authentic.
@B3ro1080 yeah there was a post on the feedback/forum idk asking to bring it back (you can vote for it if you want to). From what I understand they removed it because the color correction wasn't good enough, and too few people used it, so it took space for nothing.
I think taking an isometric screenshot could be brought back, just maybe reworked so that it only takes a screenshot of a small part of the map instead of the whole thing.

Our server brought back obsidian generators, we also added the ability for dispensers to place blocks and use tools allowing the process to be fully automated.

I knew almost all of these, except the potions and shift f2 screenshot. If I remember correctly, wasn't there a time where you could craft notch apples with ingots and normal gapples with nuggets? I swear I remember this being a thing. Maybe it was just a server sides thing, though.

I want the nether reactor to return in 1.16 as some sort of nether beacon, it would also be cool if crying obsidian was used to set your spawn in the nether, and we could even see see Rubies return to the game as some sort of nether ore.
Oi, what about the glowing obsidian? No offense, if that's offensive, but the glowing obsidian is the best Nether-themed block, that has the potential to be brought back in the Nether update. And, unlike the Nether Reactor Core and the Glowing Obsidian, the Crying Obsidian was announced as a 1.16 feature, perhaps as a way for a player to set their spawn point in the Nether.
Ivan Petkov I agree, glowing obsidian is just as important, here’s the way I would add it, basically I order for you to get the glowing obsidian you need the crying obsidian, which can be crafted using one obsidian and eight Ghast tears, after your done, you place the crying obsidian and right click on the block, then it will become glowing obsidian which will mean that your spawn point has been set.
Ivan Petkov however I wouldn’t try this in the overworld, because right clicking on this block in another dimension will cause it to explode.
Actually, I think that the Glowing and Crying Obsidian blocks should not have nothing in common, other than the fact that both of these blocks are a type of obsidian, also, I disagree with the idea of Crying Obsidian exploding in the different dimensions, because that would be kind of useless in my opinion... I mean, it would be really hard to craft anyway! If I am correct, to craft a Crying Obsidian, the player needs an obsidian block, only one, and 4 lapis lazuli...

I swear to god somewhere around or after update 1.2.5 it was possible to destroy a regular stick by using it to break 3 stone blocks.
It played the tool breaking sound and everything but displayed no durability meter.
I recall being surprised when after slowly digging my way out of a cave entrance, the stick in my hand broke.
I've tried searching for the exact update but have found nothing.

Ok guys here we go
1: you can spawn with 999 wood in one stack (infdev)
2:sponges should I say more
3: the sun and moon just keep switching (west east/north south) back and forth up to late alpha
4:in alpha you can store your items in your 2 by 2 crafting grid
5: in infdev you can collect spawners which will turn into pig spawners
If you collect one or two of them you can then go to alpha duplicate them so you can have 10 stacks of spawners in survival 100% vanilla

This video reminded me of a glitch I found. If a player with negative levitation takes damage, the game launches the player upwards. Seems to occur even a few seconds after the effect is lost.
I didn’t know about some of these but I totally remembered that obsidian farm from etho back in the day, also I never realised it got removed as I haven’t tried to use it!

Last time I checked I can still make obsidian by flowing water into lava sources. Happens all the time when I'm mining and I need to cross a lava lake

The redstone to obsidian transition was recognized as a bug by both the bug tracker and many server owners.
I used it back in 1.5 or 1.6 to get a nether portal in skyblock without doing these challenges.
I know the version number, because on the next update, it got removed and golden apples were no longer craftable using gold nuggets, lost a lot of opportunity, if only I had thought a bit ahead.
Just watching this video is so nostalgic for me. Especially when you played the intro. I haven't watched your videos since elementary and I'm a senior in high school now. You will always be one of the best Minecraft TH-camrs.

The ability to create obisidian from redstone existed beyond minecraft 1.0, I don't remember when it got removed, but I surely remember following the minecraftwiki guide on how to do it back then, between 2011-2013
Obisidian generators were the best, especially online. A use for redstone and an easy source of obsidian!
