That robot is pretty impressive. Actually, the story of that robot in that board game was, at least according to my theory, this: Originally, that robot was built by the Space Academy itself, to protect the members, students, and staff of the Space Academy itself from external threats and maybe to help people in trouble in space. But the robot had been hit by some malfunction, because of which it considered the race that created it, built it, the species as hostile Aliens that it was supposed to destroy and protect humans from. And only the one with the Reprogram card could reprogram it, as if to restore, not completely but half of its so-called "original factory settings", which again knew what it really had to do and whose side it was on. So this is just a theory I created, but you can conclude from it what you want:)

The Robot isn't exactly an antagonist, it was only after Walter because the card said that his robot is defective because he thought that Walter was the alien lifeform, it was supposed to act as the spaceship's defences (ie the house) from any attacking alien enemies like the Zorgons. At least the game was kind enough to give Walter the reprogram card so the little robot inside knows to reprogram the malfunction on the robot. Who knows what defences Zathura could've given to players, like a shield generator to prevent the house getting damaged?
