I really wish more kayak youtubers would show more of their mess ups. Please don't take it the wrong way but i wish you would show the mess ups as well to show newer people like me that even pros arent perfect. The way this video is made makes it seem like you didn't make a single mistake. If it was a dry hair run awesome but if it was i wish you would have mentioned it because at any skill level that should still be an accomplishment
Thank you so much for watching and for sharing your thoughts! I totally get where you’re coming from-seeing the full experience, including the mess-ups, can be so helpful and relatable, especially for newer paddlers. My goal with this channel is to share the whole journey, which varies from river to river. That includes personal and emotional moments, in-between rapids, and, of course, the hardest lines. I rarely cut out flips or mistakes because I want my videos to reflect the full river experience so others know what to expect if they decide to run it. For this video specifically, there wasn’t a big emotional journey or much to narrate beyond how awesome this section is, so it’s mostly kayaking clips. My biggest “mess-up” was getting scared at La Leona and opting for the chicken eddy-but otherwise, I kept everything in (minus some flatwater at the bottom). If you’re interested, check out my Blanco Sur video! It really captures my journey of learning to run bigger waterfalls, complete with some ‘mess-ups’ along the way. I think you’ll enjoy it!
That looks so freaking sweet
📽️👍👍👍👍📽️👍👍📽️💪💯
That was insane
It was so much fun!
Upper Fuy is a Class lll ?
I’d say it’s class 4/5. This was medium high flows (from my understanding) but I think at lower flows it gets easier.
