Looks like you have "fish eyes" caused by shooting paint in an area where products like WD40,and silicone spray have been used. It lingers in the air long after its used, and it will screw your paint job. If forced to paint in a non paint booth you needed to use FEE....fish eye eliminator.Add it to your paint, and it will keep silicone from wreaking your work. As far as a moisture problem you need a real good filter on your compressor. Also when sanding always go in one direction. You want all the micro scratches running in one direction.
I learned my 30 gallon compressor is not big enough to paint a car. It was running continuously while I was painting creating a lot of heat and moisture. I definitely need a better water filter system.
great job as usual. i respect alot you´re doing everything yourself. i do same but my body isn´t as good as yours. And now drive the wheels off of it btw:don´t wanna tell us about that Edelbrock-headed flatty ? ;) greetings Jan
Hi Jan, thanks. I bought that motor from a guy who disassembled it years ago. I was able to visually inspect it for cracks before buying it. I pressure checked it and had it magnifluxed . It's a good block with no cracks and a great water jacket, stock bore too. I got it thinking about building a race engine for the Coupe.
Turned to your channel after buying my Vern tardel book and about to acquire a model frame in hops that in the next 10 years I can build a av8 chopped coupe just like yours !!!! You do really good work .....your paint looks like dust nibs to me ..should color sand right out ... beautiful car and your doing excellent work ..I've subscribed !!! Hit my channel up too
I would be very happy with that !!! I'm not normally a big fan of chopping like some others where "everything" needs to be chopped. The proportions on Your car, however, as it sits without fenders and running boards, looks much more consistent after the chop.Congrats on a very nice outcome !!!
I know you're way past this by now but I found a small kitchen sponge on the back side of your paper works really well as a block. It easily conforms to all angles and curves while not concentrating the force from your fingers. Looking very good. I had to re-do the cowl section right in front of my windshield on the 57. Like you, first time doing any color sanding and polishing. I used two stage, however so I was working with a clear. Was really pleased with the outcome. Small area so I did all the polishing by hand.
Just found your videos. You do a great job explaining the processes and your reasoning. I also love that you are very workman like and not afraid to tackle some tough jobs that are required to get the results you are looking for. Well Done!!
Great work Aaron! I'm looking at a similar effort on my '30 roadster in the not too distant future so will be using this as my guide. Will have to investigate that respirator hood you mention!
your car looks great . i want a 30 31 kinda similar to yours. im building a chopped 50 shoebox

Hola; cuantos mm de altura fué recortada?😉👍gracias
Hola Diego, 76mm
Fine job on that paint...if mine turns out nearly as good I'll claim success. Love your custom red! Hat's off to ya.
Thanks Boxcar
Great looking ride. Beautiful 8BA flatty.
Thanks Jeremy
Looks Good . Have you tried a desiccant hose? It goes between your regulator & your gun. They are relatively inexpensive. I believe about $25.00
I haven't, but I wish I did before painting the Coupe.
