I love your t-shirt and also your kitchen! It reminds me of my grandmama's beautiful country kitchen in S.Carolina. I miss my childhood summers there😊❤
holly cow I don't believe it. That is the only way my grandmother ever made potatoes she would cut up onions and put in there too. I loved those potatoes so much. Then she was gone and I tried for years to make them the same way. I did finally figure it out but who knew all I had to do was watch you in the kitchen.
My mom use to make this when I was young and she called that potatoes stew ! I make it my self today and I make it like my mom did. We first boiled the potatoes with onions salt and pepper till the potatoes started to break a little but we cut the potatoes in big chunks so there's no little pieces in the stew. We drain the potatoes but keep the liquid. Then we put a lot's of butter in the same pan as we cook the potatoes and we make a rou with some flour to cook the flour and cook it till the flour/ butter get a little brown. Then we pour the potatoes liquid in and mix . And then We poured some evaporate milk to the consistance we want or if you prefer milk you can put milk but with evaporate milk oh my it's sooooooo creamy and so good you must try it!!!! Put some white and black pepper in, white pepper give that little taste that is so addictive ....I put onions powders and salt and it's done! Bye bye
@@inthekitchenwithtallifaye4724 Would like to see your potato soup recipe, do you just add something like carrots, celery and onions with chicken broth? Potato soup was one of my dad's favorites.
You know Talli those potatoes look like they would go with any meat from chicken fried steak to Ham. Thank you mam, for this. Pearl onions would be a welcome addition.

My granny used to make creamy potatoes like this. I can't seem to get them right. I am so excited about your video that you just posted up this recipe. I can't wait to try them. Do you have recipes of your fried steak, your fried chicken, fried okra, and all of the other stuff you mentioned
I’m pretty sure I’ve videoed all of those recipes!… You can scroll down through my videos on my homepage or you can google them for instance… fried okra in the kitchen with Talli Faye 😊♥️
Me and my granddaughter were watching you and when I told her that I knew you, she had all kinds of questions. She asked if I would take her to see you one weekend. I also had to giggle when I saw your subscriber count, 394. What a coinkydink.
Apparently there are conflicting safety protocols about canning that I don’t want to get into for liability reasons… I’d love to tell folks how I do mine but I don’t want any issues… Gotta be careful what you say in today’s world! 🫤🫤
Hi just found your channel And my mom used to fix them like this and sometimes times my mom would make them like that but sometimes she would use cornmeal in and call potato mash Have you ever had it like that? Made same way with onions Thank you for sharing
In West Tennessee, we call this stewed potatoes. You always eat these with crumbled cornbread. We might use bacon grease instead of butter. They are hard to beat.
ohhh my goodness! these potatoes got my mouth watering. 🤣🤣🤣 does boiling it after you add the flour cook the flour so it doesn’t have that raw flour taste?
Tallie Fay i didn't know any other way to ask this question But have you ever made a strawberry and rhubarb pie? I sure do love them i got to say it's my favorite Thank you for sharing Love cooking with you
Hey. First time viewer. From Australia. Is that butter or margarine? I mean, we don't even have milk in 4 litre/4quarts like you do. That's how different some things are.
@@inthekitchenwithtallifaye4724 Thank you. I'll definitely be giving it a go. Thanks for sharing. I struggle finding cheap alternatives to my cheap alternatives, if you know what I mean.
