You right - of all their great songs, this song is, I don't know for what reason, unfairly less exposed as a great song. Otherwise, in my opinion, anyone who wants to really know who the rael "Deep Purple" are should listen - "Hush" - "Black Night" - "Speed King" - "Flight Of The Rat" - "Child In Time" - "Fireball" - "Strange Kind Of Woman" - "Smoke On The Water" - "Space Truckin" - "Highway Star" - "Lazy" - "Woman From Tokyo" - "Burn" - "You Fool No One" - "Mistreated". Of course, there are many more of their great songs that are not listed, but I think these songs are their essential supstance.
Deep Purples best song in my humble opinion, like a previous similar comment only reaction video i come across of this tune. Ian Paice drum fills are immaculate
Even fifty years on, I still think this album captures the raw excitement of a live band in the studio, better than anything else I've heard. Hard Loving Man probably raises the bar even higher.
RHCP are fans especially the drummer. DP usually have a couple fast songs per album where they show off... especially live. This album was 1969 probably one of the first 3 Heavy metal albums ever made. The whole album has a live spontaneous feel and it was their statement album where they left the pop/psychedelic music behind and began their Mark 2 historic period that has lead them to sell over 100 million albums.
Énorme musicalement avec des variantes de fou aussi lord parce et blackmore c est du très haut de gamme musicale pour l époque aucun groupe actuel ne peut produire une telle diversité de son et vocalises Deep Purple Number one
I would never classify Deep Purple's music as being slow. I know you've done _Space Truckin._ I'll post links to a few more bangers... Fireball (1971) - th-cam.com/video/q88koeaqrEg/w-d-xo.html Burn (1974) - th-cam.com/video/LCnebZnysmI/w-d-xo.html Stormbringer (1974) - th-cam.com/video/4C2K889u_90/w-d-xo.html
DP great heavy rock band with arguably one of the best guitarists of all time a brilliant drummer and classically trained organist and this is their best vocalist Ian Gillan (banshee) but not really very profound in the lyric dept. Don't waste your time on DP lyrics more music to feel than analyse
Lyrics are exactly what profound means but they WHOOSHED right over head. Yeah the odd song, like Knocking at Your Back Door , very crass but generally Gillan writes intelligent words with various meanings and truths. Child in Time not profound enough?
I am thinking you are the first to react to what is essentially one of their biggest fan favorites. Lord's best solo in the studio for sure. RHCP definitely influenced by Purple's funk. Chad Smith the drummer is on many Glenn Hughes songs. This was before even more funk music crept into DP later in 1974-'76.
Hey guys thanks for checking me out. 😀 I hope you like my reaction. ❤❤ Leave some more songs you would like me to react to down in the comments❗❗❗
The first solo was Jon Lord on the Hammond organ. Great song, first time I've seen a reaction to it - well done!

Yeah, I don't know how in the hell I missed that?
@@JimJamFam I know...this song is pretty confusing.. I see how.

And Child in Time, so deep with just a few words.
And now "Hard lovin' man" from the same album :-)
Added to my list.
Hard Lovin' Man!
BURN, please. the song is Burn.

Into the fire - Deep purple in rock
You gotta do Pictures of Home and/or Child in Time

I assume you meant the organ solo, which was first. Jon Lord is a beast.
Yeah, my ears weren't working I guess. :)
If you want hear more drums from Ian Paice listen to the solo in "The Mule" from Made in Japan
It an anti drug song..that whole album behind you is a heavy metal classic from start to finish..very influential.
Pretty cool. Not sure I've ever heard this one. Wasn't ever, pardon the pun, "deep" into their music portfolio

Damn! Did they! What did I miss. I hate when I do that.
I think Ian Gillan has written some great lyrics, “When a blind man cries”?
If you think this is fast try Fireball
Definitely will!

the new album Whoosh!... no Jon Lord, no Ritchie Blackmore, so not Deep Purple.
Gotcha!
