Ive met chris 4 times and he always took the time to talk to his fans. He even let me play his guitar. He also went out of his way to find a sharpie to sign my nieces doll. Such a nice human being
Only discovered Chris's playing and music in the last couple of years really, but what a true gent, a beautiful human being, and an exceptional musician.
Hey Chris- Remember the good ole days of rocking out at the Spartan Pub at SJSU circa 1983? For all of us struggling students, you made our worlds a lot brighter. Always intrigued by your playing way back then and just as much now. Thanks you so much. Never forget you.
Mr. Cain is one of the greatest living Blues guitar players in the world ! Always a Superman of the Blues !! Thank You so much for sharing your gift with us !
The gentleman is a great musician without the ego that others have. I had the honour of playing on the same bill as he did in New Zealand 2017 Bluesfest . Cheers to you Norm for showing the world this humble and very talented man.
I'm living in Minneapolis now, but for years I'd catch Chris in places like JJ's in San Jose and on up to Slim's in SF. Every single time I saw him and heard him play, I told myself the same thing: Never forget this. Chris Cain is a national treasure. Blessings to him.
I've been following Chris Cain since I heard the buzz about him at a blues jam in Portland about 15 years ago. What sets Chris apart from other guitar players, besides the huge amount of raw emotion, is the way he slides chords around, all up and down the neck - amazing!
This is what I absolutely love about TH-cam. Had never heard of this guy and he pops up on my radar. He's an absolute superb singer and guitarist. Thank you TH-cam and thank you Chris Cain.😀😃
Hello Norman! Thanks to your videos I discovered Cain. Last week I wanted to buy the Albert King/SRV session at a local Berlin record store. And voila. Next to the CD they had Cains new CD. - I immediatley listened to it the old way in the store and was blown away. The recording quality is great and his playing and singing is on one level with the 3 kings. I will get more records. - Please ask him to come to Germany/Berlin for some concerts.
Every medium to major city in the USA has a local celebrity guitar player who reveres Chris Cain and is his dear friend. He mixes jazz and blues in a tasteful way...he sings like a true old bluesman. He's a treasure - i saw him in a little club once when a outdoor stage was rained out....humble and solid AF!
Hello, i have been discoverd Chris Cain a few weeks ago.....simply great ! , if somaday Chris give a concert in france, d'ont forget to tell me ! Great thank's for your very addictve vidéos ! Gilles
Such a great and humble musician and man. I looked at his schedule and he's got quite an amazing south American tour coming up. Hopefully they let him come home! One always wonders when our great artists go abroad as to whether they'll ever come home. Because it seems that the appreciation for this level of talent is so well understood and received by other countries yet largely lost on Americans. It's strange and unfortunate.
Just saw Chris last night at Arts Garage on Delray Beach Florida. He breaks his high E string about 10 min into the second set and proceeds to finish the show playing on 5 strings…..including s few Albert King songs. Albert King on 5 Strings….wow. He is truly a master and one of the most humble and nice person you will ever meet…
I'm lovin' the early 1990 Gibsons and Fenders. Nearly 3 decades old, and aging beautifully. Best kept secret for guitar lovers. Chris Cain could make a $500 guitar sound great.
to be fair,, "channelling bb king" when I saw bb his guitar was out of tune the whole night, his tone was golden but his guitar kept going out of tune so bb just put a lil extra bend to be in tune or sang more(his voice was perfect)
Hey! Chris Cain played in the band at Oregon Shakespeare Festival during their production of August Wilson's 'Ma Rainey's Black Bottom" or maybe "Seven Guitars" (or maybe both).
Yeah! Herb Ellis, the first Lou Rawls live album. He was absolutely magnificent and so is Chris Cain. Chris you sound best on a Les Paul. Not that this is bad by no means.
Chris Cain's phenomenal talents are only matched by his sincere humility and elegant grace.
THIS is what a guitar is meant to sound like. Can't love this enough.
Ive met chris 4 times and he always took the time to talk to his fans. He even let me play his guitar. He also went out of his way to find a sharpie to sign my nieces doll. Such a nice human being
The best blues guitar player and singer alive!
Chris is arguably the best true blues man alive.

3:42 oh my God! What a bend, it nearly goes up to space and still sounds amazing..
I remember going to Chis’s Y2Cain tour in 2000 In Paulsboro NJ. Our mayor gave him the key to the city.
