That actually explains a lot. Endogeny contains elements of dogs AND cats, and so does Temmie. It is hard to explain the cats otherwise, as the dogs likely were close together. Also the vibration thing matches too, so it might be true.
The memoryheads are probably the amalgamate's memories. Also remember, snowy's mom is the main part of an amalgamate, so the motherly instincts could have easily carried over to watching man.

Kate Bamsey well you can get dreams as an item during the pacifist final boss. So I think that memories becoming actual objects isn't very far fetched.

Alphys doesn't exist in Underlab, instead she is replaced with Underlab.
While that theory on Memory Head is interesting, I think I got one that is also quite the brain tickler. Let's keep the idea that Memory Head isn't a true amalgamate, but a different entity altogether. I propose that Memory Head is part of W.D. Gaster. Now hear me out...Law of Conservation of Mass/Energy states that matter/energy is neither created nor destroyed, only transform. Now when Gaster fell into the CORE, it's said he split apart space and time. What if his being was indeed split? Let's say into 3 separate entities...A being of the MIND, BODY, and SOUL. The three foundations for what makes up a proper living person. Now to break this down a bit more...Memory Head would represent the MIND portion of Gaster. Containing his life memories, thoughts of his friends and family, because that's what a mind does. The Mystery Man behind the door in Waterfall would be the BODY. It's not Gaster's true self, but a shell that vaguely resemble what he once was as he not complete. So what would be SOUL? I'll tell you...Who's the one person that knows everything, the one person that we no nothing about, the one person that warns you about the man that speaks in hands...Riverson is the SOUL. My reasoning for such a leap is fair, Riverperson being made up of a SOUL would be genderless because the BODY was the one with a gender. SOULs are spiritual and can understand many things that the physical world doesn't. Plus, why else would Riverperson know who Gaster is while everyone else seems utterly clueless? This is my theory and I hope you found it interesting. Enjoy. ^_^

Underlab Thanks. I've been studying a lot of theories and ideas since getting into Undertale and it surprised me that no one looked at it in such a way. Of course I could be over thinking it, but someone has to...MatPat won't. (I joke) He made a goofy call on something. Can't be mad at him about it. Though Sans being Ness is a weak stretch. Still, with our collective minds combined, we can form a plausible theory that might turn out true some day.

I feel like you need to go into Lemon Bread more. The amalgamates do have DETERMINATION, yes, but the fact that Lemon Bread turned into something that looked exactly like a SAVE point is very interesting, since you and Flowey should be the only ones who truly know what a SAVE does.

The dog amalgamate might actually also have temmie with it, since temmie vibrates continually in the fight, if you actually survive for a really long time, her face removes off and vibrates out of the screen
I love the true lab because it's such a different tone than the rest of the game :) I personally like your theory on memory head, however, I don't quite understand all of the points. How would your memories become a physical entity infused with determination? Could you explain that to me a little more?

I can't pretend to know all the answers, hehe! But... I'll suggest some crazy potential solutions regardless!
-Memoryhead is very distinct from the other amalgamates--perhaps, as I first implied, it isn't an amalgamate at all! I've seen some people suggest it's only a hallucination, or a figment of Frisk's imagination. It could be anything, even though it has some similarities to the amalgamates! In that respect, perhaps it's something (but who knows what) that somehow managed to make your memories manifest into physical form.
-There's no clear indication as to how determination works (for the most part). Maybe some of the stuff was left in the air as a sort of residue, and it literally, physically came into contact with your mind?
-Like ShadoAnnaru says... magic! As with mostly any fiction, magic can do all sorts of inexplicable things in Undertale. Maybe Memoryheads are the byproduct of magic and can therefore defy the laws of logic!
-Perhaps it's just Frisk's determination? How it escaped him and became Memoryhead, however, isn't something I can explain!
Memoryhead is a tricky one... but it was certainly my favourite amalgamate to try and explain! I looked back at the video and realised I could have spent the whole episode trying to figure out what it is, hehe. Maybe I will sometime, in another video?
I was noticed by sempai! Thanks, Underlab . I'll just elaborate a bit more on my comment since it could come off a bit snarky and sarcastic. I mean it might literally be magic. It is the underground and monsters have innate magic that are all unique. Pretty much anything could be possible, theoretically. I personally think that it is a kind of determination (after all, Alphys was working for a while to even find determination in the first place) but perhaps not exactly what you think. It might be one of the first few failed experiments of making synthetic determination. Determination comes from the feeling of not wanting to die, which in turn comes from the fear of no one remembering you when you die. It's this last part that I'm gonna emphasize, since it leads to MEMORYhead. I think it could sort of be compared to a boggart from Harry Potter, but instead of fears, it's memories.

About the praying/mystifying during the Reaper Bird fight:That's how you spare Whimaslot (and make them use some green attacks like Vegetoid)/spare Final Froggit
Reaper Bird is most likely made from what it is because those 3 monsters the only monsters that appear during Hard Mode and the normal game (which is pretty unique imo)
It's also confirmed in game that Snowdrake's Mother is an amalgamation of 16 Monsters including herself and 2 Vegetoids

There was an idea that I always had as to why the Amalgamates turned out how they did.
Gaster was the one who started the experiment, but soon after starting, he fell into the CORE. Alphys, now being the Royal Scientist, took over the job, but the reason the experiments were such horrific failures was because Alphys doesn't understand biology or the properties of DT as well as she thought she did, being an excellent roboticist and electrical engineer (she made Mettaton, two backup bodies for him, kept the CORE in operation by herself, singlehandedly made most of the devices, or at least the plans for them, that are used by the entire Underground, and did all this while spending most of her time watching anime and playing dating sims), but not a biologist. She gave the monsters way too much DT, not completely understanding its properties, causing them to melt. Not understanding why this was such a failure, and not wanting to tell their families or Asgore, she tried to prevent anyone from finding out.
Also, something that tipped me off about Alphys' "bathroom" was the fact that an NPC in Grillby's says that monsters don't have bathrooms in the normal sense - they have "bath rooms", as in, places to wash oneself, but something like that wouldn't need a human-style bathroom sign.
But why do the memoryheads ask if you want to "join" them?

And, this gonna be a shock, but Froggit.
You see, Froggit looks like it has two bodies, the one in between the frog legs appears to have a face.
There are in-game sprites of the eyes of the cat-shaped spaces opening.
Where have we seen entities that are in between the legs?

Most people find the amalgamates scary, but when I see them, I grow sadness. They were dying monsters when Alphys tried to save them, but to no avail. While they did survive, they're trapped in their "purgatory" as these scary, horrific monsters; While they look scary, just know that they were completely innocent monsters.
Especially when you know their are kept locked away from their families
I think endogeny is more unstable than the others because in the true pacifist epilogue one of its relatives say it's merged with specifically 16 other people, which seems to be more than all the other amalgamates, so it's more unstable because there are more conflicting genetic differences accounted for, and that also explains why it seems to be larger in size

I think what makes the Alphy lab thing so memorable at least for me is that it's a total shift from what we know if you just started the Pacifist run. And the music.... It adds a sort of creepiness to it. It's like almost a horror game.(Say, Toby should one day attempt a full on Indie Horror game. It be awesome with his creative juices to see what he could do with that concept.)
Though yeah, the experiments to me come off as tragic and kinda creepy. And personally yeah I feel bad for them. Anyways, great job with the video man. Say, i'm just wondering you ever think of starting a 2nd channel for non Undertale content? I like to see you do other games like Silent Hill or Super Mario Bros or whatever.

Hey Underlab, just a small detail I noticed, in the generator room, the switch seems to bare a striking resemblance to a certain genocide character we meet, also the switch has what looks like a human soul, though that could just be some left over determination

I just had an idea on Endogeny! Maybe instead of just the relatives of the Canine unit, perhaps there was also a Temmie there as well. Think about it, the spaces that resemble cats and the fact that it vibrates with increasing intensity.
Everyone has just simultaneously come up with this theory, but that doesn't mean it's not original to you!

Underlab I hope you reply to this because it could change the way (s) you look at Gaster. I think Gaster is a amalgamate. Now idk what Gaster would be fused of but it could be true. Gaster resembles the amaglgamates. Thats just my theory so lol.

I'm pretty sure you have to use Mystify and Pray on Reaper Bird because that's how you deal with, respectively, Final Froggit and Whimsalot (who also "remembers his conscience" when you pray at him.) You also have to "Pick on", like Astigmatism.

Personally, I feel that Gaster is the one that STARTED the determination experiments, and found the original determination subject (the flower that became Flowey), but disappeared in the CORE before his hyp and the experiments were left to Alphys to complete, due to the massive change in character from Entries 8 and 9. The change is random, and doesn't start when the determination experiments fail. Also, Entry 8 says "The flower from the outside world. It appeared just before the queen left", yet Alphys says "THERE'S TWO OF THEM" when encountering Toriel for the first time. As such, Entries 1-7 are not Alphys, and are almost certainly WD Gaster. However, we are never directly told who started the determination experiments, only who ended them. So for all we know, Alphys wrote entries 1-7. Also, Entries 14 and 15 are written oddly with the way that Alphys writes, as seen in different Entries, especially Entry 11, which talks about Mettaton, who "made it big".
This is a *VERY* good theory!
For the Memoryhead, I think there are actually a couple of monsters we could identify from the mess. Some of the eyes look like they could belong to Migosp, and the smiling faces on the side look like Madjick heads. That may not be as evident since we always see it wearing its hat, but there is a sprite of its entire head and you could see the similarities there. And since we know Migosp are introverted and act better solitary, the Memoryhead we see has a bunch of Migosps mashed together and that shifts them to an extroverted nature and encourage you to 'Join the Fun'. And that could be the reason you interact with it through the phone, because a phone is a thing that symbolizes communication and socializing. Also, when you hear it say coherent words, some of the phrases are in latin(?) so they could be seen as magic words used by Madjick, I guess?

monsters can probably hold some determination, because alphys, in one of the entries, said she would KEEP injecting them with determination, so she likely injected them with more than monsters can hold
