Pretty good results just with a ride plate change. Thanks for sharing! Glad to hear you purchased from Greg & Jerry. Very good friends of ours. Maybe I will see you this weekend at the Blue’s show!
Good deal, we’re headed that way today. Just hanging out at the beach in Navarre. Guess we will be able to see some of the practice runs as well. Tomorrow we should be somewheres behind the boardwalk in P-Cola maybe around Flounders for the show Saturday.
@@Watercraftshack I tested all in last few days..I put stock intake on with riva plate. Lost 4 mph top end.. mind ya the stocked intake has no seal kit. The riva intake worked alot better with the riva plate..im on a gp1800 tho..if it makes any difference..
@@SlayerHawkX I kept the factory ride plate on my GP1800 and liked it, also played around with sealing my intake grate and it made a noticeable difference on take off. Less cavitation
@@Watercraftshack did u seal the ride plate too?...im tryn to figure out if we are suppose too or not..I have mine all tore apart again resealing the transom plate..had some leaks I cant find..think i found them..lol...half the people say yes..other half say NO!..
@@SlayerHawkX I did seal my ride plate and intake grate but I don’t think you’re supposed to do the ride plate but I did it anyways and didn’t have any issues
@@latelle I was told by lots of people that it’s normal on the GP to cavitate a little off the line. I didn’t try and fix the issue but heard some people made it better by repitching the impeller
I agree its not worth purchasing for the 1mph gain, But the handling improvement in choppy water is night and day difference. If you ride in rough water often its a must have. If you ride in calm water like rivers its probably not worth the investment.

@@LifeBeginsOnTheWater awesome ! Maybe I’ll be able to get out for Saturday show too, enjoy the show !
For bettter performance on turns, the riva sponsons is what you want.
@@philmark1788 yea Riva pro series sponsons are serious in corners !
Did you have to put the ski in the water and basically leave it hanging 1/4 off the trailer to gain access to the bolts of the oem ride plate?
@@Uno91180 you can do it on the trailer depending on your bunk spacing, having it off the back of trailer just makes it easier
Very impressed with it how much is it for one of these plates and do they make it for a V1 waverunner 016 with a 1.o engine
@@alsavage6320 I’m not sure, if they make one for that model
How much does the Riva plate need to be torqued up to?
@@davidallsopp7041 12.5 foot pounds
Sweet!..just installed mine..havent tested yet...thx for vid
You’re going to love it!
@@Watercraftshack it went alot straighter and took waves better...absolutely no improvement top end tho...dang!
@@SlayerHawkX dang hate to hear no speed change, but the handling improvement is worth every penny to me
Coupled with intake grate would be a good comparison.
@@xxnickthegreekxx I’ve heard the Riva intake grate slows down the FX HO but would love to test it

Where did you buy that ride plate? I’m having a hard time finding one for my GP that’s in stock.
@@jebbrooks9558 I ordered mine from www.4-tecperformance.com
@@Watercraftshack great people over there. I spoke with them first. I guess I’ll be waiting till the end of August.

Not impressed
What exactly do you not like about the ride plate? price, speed, handling or all three?
